Does the trust issue impact the intention to use e-wallet technology among students?
The current research goal is to examine the impact of trust on the intention to use e-wallet services. Using the technology acceptance model (TAM) the study investigated four variables which were privacy and security, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and trust for intention to use e-wallets. The study employed the quantitative research design with non-probability sampling using the purposive sampling method for data collection purposes. Through the Google survey form data were collected from the University of Malaya undergraduate students (N=150). The study applied the partial least square (PLS) tool using SmartPLS 3.0 to analyze the data. The outcome of the research found that all four variables had a positive significant connection to the intention to use e-wallet services. The results indicate that the service e-wallet is important among young generations because this electronic payment service is convenient to make payments as well as transactions from anywhere, besides increasing the e-wallet facilities among users, service providers should focus on users’ privacy and security
IBNU SINA: Now, I Can See The World!
Every morning, Hj Mohd Nizam’s daily routine involved stopping at a coffee shop to enjoy a cup of coffee and two half-boiled eggs. In early January 2010, after his usual breakfast, he passed by a row of electrical goods outlets that sold refrigerators and televisions. The encounter triggered several questions in him
“Will the customers always buy the appliances?” and “If the outlet does not receive a customer each day, how does the owner survive for decades?”.
Hj Mohd Nizam recalls his experience as a salesperson in direct selling and the moments when he recorded the highest network marketing sales. He was devastated by how he failed in business previously, and with his hands held up like a warrior, he found a new spirit to emerge as a business survivor, stating, “Once I had clarity on this being my purpose and outcome, it was time to begin to plan how I could best go about working in that way". A few days later, Hj Mohd Nizam bought a pair of spectacles at one of the shopping malls in Kota Bharu. After wearing them several times, he felt discomfort in his eyes and went to a clinic for an eye test. He was surprised to discover that his eyes were fine while the spectacles prescription he required was reduced from +-1.75D to +-0.50D. Inspired by his observation at the electronic shop, he figured that the shop owner must have constructed an effective marketing strategy to market the products. Thus, he asked himself, “Why don’t I use my experience in direct sales and as a salesperson to try to sell new products?”. He believed that the right strategy could ensure long term product survival in the market either by using the same product marketing strategy or a new strategy for business surviva
Combination of stabiliser and emulsifier for Pink Guava Juice Drink (PGJD) fortified with Vitamin E
In the beverages industry, the stabilizer and emulsifier were used to enhance the quality of Pink Guava Juice Drink (PGJD) in terms of colour, taste, and texture. Thus, the product is favourable and marketable. This study was conducted to find the best emulsifier combination for PGJD. The combination of six different stabilizers such as Guar gum (GG), Carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC), Arabic gum (AG), Xanthan gum (XG), Propylene glycol alginate (PGA), and Pectin were applied to PGJD formulation. Meanwhile, about three emulsifiers which are Arabic gum (AG), Polysorbate 80 (P80), and Propylene glycol alginate (PGA) were used to emulsify vitamin E in PGJD. The ratio for both stabilizers and emulsifiers varied accordingly. The most stable and suitable combination of stabilizers and emulsifiers was later added to PGJD. The combination of XG and CMC at the concentration of 70:30 with 0.2% (w/v) was the best stabilizer. Meanwhile, P80 was found to be the best emulsifier at a concentration of 0.8% (w/v) and PGJD fortified with 225 mg of vitamin E was chosen as the most acceptable PGJ among panelists. This finding of the present study can be a guideline for beverage manufacturers in selecting the best stabilizers and emulsifiers
Geome3 Smart Kit Meningkatkan Kefahaman Konsep Poligon Dalam Kalangan Murid Tingkatan 2 Al Bukhari
From School to Business: A Study of Private University Student’s Motivation Determinant and Intention to be an entrepreneur
Malaysia ranked 14th in entrepreneurship in 2021. This shows that the Malaysian government has promoted entrepreneurship at the tertiary level. Not all graduates become entrepreneurs. Instead of starting a business, graduates take low-paying jobs unrelated to their skills. This study examined private university students\u27 intentions to become entrepreneurs and their motivation, creativity, attitude, ability, and university ecosystem. Additionally, this study examined the mediating effect of motivation on creativity, attitude, ability, university ecosystem, and entrepreneur intention among private university students. SPSS was used to analyse the 215 samples of private university students in the northern region of Malaysia. Findings postulate that only motivation and attitude affect a student\u27s intention to become an entrepreneur. Motivation mediates between students\u27 attitudes and entrepreneurial intentions. This study helps institutions, teachers, and policymakers understand what makes private university students want to start their own businesses. This means that strategies and policies can be changed in the future to encourage private university students to go into the entrepreneurship field. Keywords: Entrepreneurial intention
Financial Reporting Preparer’s Satisfaction and Intention to Switch to XBRL reporting: A Model
The objective of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework for understanding financial reporting preparers’ satisfaction and intention to switch from conventional to XBRL reporting. Based on the review and synthesis of relevant literature from prior XBRL adoption research, technology usage behavior, and the user satisfaction element in information system studies, gaps have been identified and a conceptual framework has been developed. This framework includes eight constructs, i.e., perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived compatibility, information quality, service quality, system quality, preparer’s satisfaction, and the intention to switch to XBRL reporting. The framework can be used to conduct research and establish appropriate XBRL plans. Furthermore, by leveraging the benefits of XBRL, this framework will assist decision-makers in formulating strategies. Nevertheless, this study is limited to identifying gaps and to suggesting new conceptual frameworks based on previous literature and empirical studies. Thus, this paper implies that further empirical research be conducted to validate the suggested integrated model
Antioxidant and antibacterial activities of red (Hylocereus polyrhizus) and white (Hylocereus undatus) dragon fruits
Dragon fruit belongs to the genus Hylocereus of the Cactaceae family. There are two species that are commonly cultivated; Hylocerues polyrhizus and Hylocereus undatus that have the same red skin but different flesh colours, red and white respectively. Although from the same genus, the phytochemical contents and bioactivities of both fruits may not be the same. This study aims to compare the phytochemical contents, antioxidant and antibacterial activities of H. polyrhizus and H. undatus to help consumers better choose nutritional fruits and to explore potential natural preservatives. The fruit samples were extracted using 50% ethanol and later were subjected to phytochemical, antioxidant and antibacterial assays. The phytochemical contents were determined using Folin Ciolcalteu and aluminium chloride methods for total phenolic and total flavonoid respectively. The antioxidant activity was determined using diphenyl-picryl hydrazine (DPPH) and 2,2-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) assays. Disk diffusion method was performed to evaluate antibacterial activities against two food-borne pathogens, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. H. polyrhizus showed to contain significantly higher phenolic content (p<0.05), while H. undatus had significantly higher flavonoid content (p<0.05). Comparison of antioxidant activities in both fruit samples indicated higher activities were observed in H. polyrhizus and both fruit extracts showed inhibition zones against the tested bacteria with H. polyrhizus extract was able to inhibit at lower concentration. The results suggest that H. polyrhizus may have higher bioactivities compared to H. undatus due to the significantly higher phenolic content
