    The Impacts of Lifestyle Study and Eating Behaviour Quality on Academic Performance among University Students

    Academic performance is one of the essential things among students to pass the graduation level and succeed upon graduation. A quantitative research was conducted to achieve this research objective. The research focused on the determined of the impacts of lifestyle study and eating behaviour quality on academic performance among university students that consists of physical activity, study habit and eating habit. The research questionnaire information was gathered from an online survey distributed via social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram and managed to gather data from 399 respondents. The impact of study lifestyle and eating behaviour on academic performance was tested in first-year and last-year university students. According to the findings, physical activity, eating habits, and study habits all significantly impact academic achievement. Most students nowadays are unable to concentrate and do effectively in their studies, risking their academic performance, while regular physical activity, good practice of study habits and eating habits can lead to better academic performance

    JUPERMA 1.0 merupakan akronim bagi inovasi Jutaria dengan Peribahasa Melayu yang diinovasikan idea daripada permainan Jutaria. Ianya merupakan satu permainan gabungan papan bersama alat digital seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi terkini yang membantu murid-murid dalam mencapai keberkesanan dalam pembelajaran peribahasa. Isu utama dalam kalangan murid sekolah rendah adalah kelemahan murid dalam menguasai peribahasa yang seterusnya akan mempengaruhi kemahiran menulis karangan mereka di dalam penulisan Bahasa Melayu. Ini berlaku kerana mereka tidak memahami maksud sesetengah peribahasa yang menyebabkan mereka tidak dapat menjawab mengikut kehendak soalan dan penulisan mereka menjadi tidak gramatis. JUPERMA 1.0 dapat diaplikasi kepada murid sekolah rendah yang lemah dalam peribahasa. Inovasi ini direka menggunakan bahan-bahan yang berkos murah, mudah didapati dan turut menggunakan bahan-bahan terbuang dalam usaha kelestarian alam sekitar, di samping penggunaan aplikasi digital bagi meningkatkan lagi minat murid terhadap inovasi ini. Hasil inovasi menunjukkan peningkatan minat serta pemahaman murid melalui konsep didik hibur yang diketengahkan dalam inovasi ini. Adalah diharapkan inovasi JUPERMA 1.0 dapat diimplimentasikan sebagai satu bahan bantu mengajar guru di dalam bilik darjah selari dengan trend pembelajaran abad ke-21 melalui penerapan animasi yang menarik.   This action research was conducted to improve the mastery of proverbs in the Malay language subject for 3 Level Two primary school students through the JUPERMA 1.0 game. JUPERMA 1.0 is an acronym for Jutaria innovation with Malay Proverbs that is an innovative idea from the Jutaria game. It is a board game combined with digital tools in line with the latest technological developments that help students achieve effectiveness in learning proverbs. The main issue among primary school students is the weakness of students in mastering proverbs which in turn will affect their ability to write Malayalam essays. This happens because they do not understand the meaning of some proverbs which causes them to be unable to answer the questions and their writing becomes ungrammatical. This innovation is designed using materials that are cheap, easy to find and also use waste materials in the effort of environmental sustainability, in addition to the use of digital applications to further increase students\u27 interest in this innovation. The results of this action research were collected by using several research instruments, namely observation, pre-test and final test as well as interviews throughout the intervention process. Through this JUPERMA 1.0 innovation, there is an increase in students\u27 interest and understanding in Malay proverbs through the concept of didik hibur which is highlighted in this action study. It is hoped that the JUPERMA 1.0 innovation can be implemented as a teaching aid for teachers in the classroom in line with the learning trend of the 21st century through the application of interesting animation not only for students in primary school, but also for students in secondary school

    Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan meneroka tahap kebiasaan dan kesukaran pengguna dalam menggunakan skrin sentuh kawalan berpusat yang berada dalam Kenderaan Tenaga Baharu (NEV) dan menilai persepsi pengguna terhadap kebolehgunaan dan kemudahan untuk mengguna skrin sentuh kawalan berpusat tersebut. Dengan mengambil kira ketidakcukupan alat pengukuran sedia ada untuk merangkumi sepenuhnya kompleksiti antara muka pengguna NEV dan kepelbagaian pengguna, maka sebuah instrumen penyelidikan baru telah dibangunkan. Instrumen ini berdasarkan Teori Beban Kognitif dan Teori Kognitif Sosial, yang merangkumi konstruk berkaitan Kesukaran seperti Kompleksiti Sistem, Kepelbagaian Pengguna, Teknologi Baru, Faktor-faktor Emosi dan Psikologi, serta konstruk kebiasaan pengguna seperti Konsistensi, Kemampuan, Konvensional, Kajian Pengguna, dan Pengendalian Ralat. Melalui satu kajian rintis yang ditadbir ke atas pengguna kereta Tesla di Chengdu, China, data dianalisis menggunakan perisian SPSS (versi 27) dan SmartPLS (versi 4) untuk menentukan kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan instrumen penyelidikan. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa pekali Alpha Cronbach menunjukkan konsistensi dalaman yang baik merentasi konstruk, berkisar dari 0.72 hingga 0.87, kecuali untuk konstruk "Kepelbagaian Pengguna", yang sedikit di bawah ambang batas yang diterima iaitu pada 0.68 berbanding dengan 0.7. Kajian mendapati bahawa tahap kebiasaan dan kesukaran pengguna secara signifikan mempengaruhi penerimaan pengguna terhadap skrin sentuh kawalan berpusat, ini menunjukkan bahawa terdapat keperluan kepada pihak pereka untuk mempertimbang faktorfaktor ini dalam proses pembangunan antara muka pengguna bagi sistem tersebut untuk diaplikasikan dalam Kenderaan Tenaga Baharu (NEV). Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa ia tidak hanya menekankan kepentingan mempertimbangkan kebiasaan dan kesukaran pengguna dalam reka bentuk antara muka skrin sentuh kawalan berpusat kenderaan tenaga baharu (NEV), tetapi juga menyediakan panduan penting dan alat penilaian untuk reka bentuk antara muka pengguna pada masa hadapan. Abstract This paper aims to explore user familiarity and difficulty in using central control touchscreens in New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and assess the impact of these factors on users\u27 perceived usefulness and ease of use. Given the inadequacy of existing measurement tools to fully cover the complexities of NEV user interfaces and user diversity, we developed a new research instrument. This instrument is based on Cognitive Load Theory and Social Cognitive Theory, covering difficulty-related constructs such as System Complexity, User Diversity, Emerging Technologies, Emotional and Psychological Factors, as well as familiarity-related constructs including Consistency, Affordance, Conventions, User Research, and Error Handling. Through a pilot study conducted among Tesla car users in Chengdu, China, data were analyzed using SPSS (version 27) and SmartPLS (version 4) software to determine the reliability and validity of the research instrument. Results of the Cronbach\u27s alpha coefficients showed good internal consistency across constructs, ranging from 0.72 to 0.87, except for the "User Diversity" construct, which slightly fell below the acceptable threshold of 0.7 at 0.68. The study found that user familiarity and difficulty significantly influence the acceptance of central control touchscreens, indicating the need for designers to consider these factors in the development of NEV user interfaces. The results not only emphasize the importance of considering user familiarity and difficulty in NEV design but also provide crucial guidelines and assessment tools for future user interface design

    Batik Block: Nut Mechanical Fastener Element

    ABSTRACT Batik is a symbol of Malay culture, with each pattern on batik fabric showcasing its own uniqueness and distinctiveness. In Malaysia, various types of batik are produced, including block batik, canting batik, and screen batik. This study aims to explore the use of mechanical fastener elements, specifically nuts, in the block batik manufacturing process as an alternative to traditional materials. The material element is crucial as it determines the quality, characteristics, and functionality of the final product. An innovative approach is employed in the context of block making by emphasizing the potential and effectiveness of the material compared to conventional materials. Experimental methods were used to create several batik blocks by arranging and combining mechanical fastener nuts. The process is easier, faster, and more systematic, capable of achieving the desired aesthetic value in batik block designs. The analysis involved direct observation of the block batik manufacturing process and the use of experimental approaches. This allowed for a deep understanding of the challenges and advantages of the approach used. It is hoped that the results of this study can inspire designers to incorporate new materials in the batik-making process, preserving the sustainability of traditional art while enriching creativity in the batik industry. ABSTRAK Batik adalah lambang kepada kebudayaan masyarakat Melayu, setiap corak pada kain batik menampilkan keistimewaan dan keunikan yang tersendiri. Di Malaysia terdapat pelbagai jenis batik yang dihasilkan seperti batik blok, batik canting dan batik skrin. Kajian ini bertujuan mengeksplotasi penggunaan bahan pengikat mekanikal nat dalam proses pembuatan blok batik sebagai alternatif kepada bahan tradisional. Elemen bahan adalah penting kerana ia menentukan kualiti, ciri-ciri, dan fungsi produk yang dihasilkan.Pendekatan inovatif digunakan dalam konteks pembuatan blok dengan menekankan potensi bahan dan keberkesanan kepada bahan konvensional serta  Kaedah eksperimen telah digunakan untuk menghasilkan beberapa blok batik dengan susunan dan pencantuman pengikat mekanikal nat. Proses yang dijalankan adalah lebih mudah, pantas dan sistematik yang mana mampu mencapai nilai estetika yang diingini dalam rekaan blok batik.  Analisis melibatkan pemerhatian secara langsung terhadap proses pembuatan blok batik dan penggunaan pendekatan eksperimen. Ini membolehkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai cabaran dan kelebihan pendekatan yang digunakan. Diharapkan hasil kajian ini dapat memberi inspirasi kepada para pereka untuk menggabungkan bahan-bahan baru dalam proses pembuatan batik, menjaga kelestarian seni tradisional sambil memperkaya kreativiti dalam industri batik

    ABSTRACT Haute Couture, with a history dating back to the 19th century during the reign of King Louis XIV in France, has played a significant role in shaping luxury brands like Christian Dior, Valentino, Chanel, and Fendi. This research adopts a qualitative, historical approach to examine the evolution of the Haute Couture industry and its enduring impact on the contemporary fashion landscape. The research was conducted by analyzing post-writings related to the concept, historical lineage, development, and contributions of Haute Couture to the current fashion industry. The findings reveal that while the Haute Couture industry faced challenges in preserving its original identity from the 19th century, its historical legacy continues to exert a profound influence and maintains a dedicated following among elites worldwide who value originality, exclusivity, and intricate craftsmanship. Future studies could consider this research as a pilot study for qualitative and comparative cultural investigations within the Haute Couture industry ABSTRAK Haute Couture merupakan sebuah industri fesyen yang berpengaruh besar dalam mewujudkan jenama mewah seperti Christian Dior, Valentino, Channel dan Fendi. Perkembangannya mengambil masa yang lama iaitu bermula sejak abad ke-19 semasa pemerintahan Raja Louis XIV di Perancis sehinggalah menjadi sebuah falsafah yang berkuasa dalam legasi fesyen dunia. Penyelidikan ini adalah bersifat kualitatif dalam mengkaji evolusi industri Haute Couture dan impaknya kepada industri fesyen pada hari ini. Kajian ini dijalankan dengan menganalisis pascapenulisan yang berkaitan dengan konsep, legasi sejarah, perkembangan dan sumbangan industri Haute Couture terhadap industri fesyen pada masa kini. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa, penerimaan terhadap industri Haute Couture mengalami krisis dalam mengekalkan identiti asli yang diwarisi sejak dari abad ke-19 lagi, namun legasinya dalam sejarah fesyen masih kekal berkuasa dan mempunyai peminat yang tersendiri dalam kalangan golongan elit dari seluruh negara yang mementingkan hasil kerja tangan yang asli, ekslusif dan bercita rasa tinggi. Rekomendasi untuk kajian akan datang adalah sebagai kajian rintis bagi penyelidikan kualitatif dan perbandingan budaya dalam industri Haute Couture

    This paper aims to examine the factors contributing to financial management behavior among non-finance students at AIMST University, Kedah. The dependent variable is financial management behavior while the independent variables are financial literacy, family’s social status, and financial self-efficacy. The data for this study was collected through the distribution of self-administered questionnaires. The population for this research is undergraduate non-finance students at AIMST University. The data collected were analysed using descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient Analysis. The findings of this research revealed that financial literacy, family social status, and financial self-efficacy have significant relationships with financial management behaviour

Usaha ini melibatkan pengajaran dan pembelajaran bacaan yang sahih, pemahaman yang mendalam dan hafalan ayat, memupuk pertumbuhan kerohanian dan seterusnya membimbing aplikasi praktikal dalam kehidupan seharian. Penulisan ini bertujuan menganalisis konsep dan aplikasi pendidikan al-Quran menurut perspektif Ibnu Sahnun (m.875M/256H) dalam karya Adab al-Mu’allimin. Kajian ini adalah berbentuk kualitatif dengan menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa konsep dan aplikasi pendidikan al-Quran yang digagaskan serta dilaksanakan oleh Ibn Sahnun adalah secara holistik dan integratif berdasarkan sumber-sumber hadis dan al-athar. Dapatan kajian ini boleh dimanfaatkan dan dijadikan panduan kepada para pengusaha sekolah dan kelas tahfiz, pendidik dan guru al-Quran, ibu bapa dan murid-murid pencinta al-Quran dalam melaksanakan kewajipan pengajaran dan pembelajaran al-Quran serta implikasinya dalam membina generasi al-Quran yang kalis masa depan

    Effects of Mechanical Activation Time and Speed on the Steel Slag Powder Characteristics for Wastewater Treatment

    Steel slag has a high iron content, which could be advantageous in producing iron-rich salt sources for wastewater treatment. Producing iron-rich residue from steel slag to be applied as ferrous sulfate demanded powder activation to achieve high absorption efficiency during coagulation. Mechanical activation via high-energy ball milling was one of the methods that could minimize the poor grindability of steel slag. The effect of milling time (2 h, 8 h, 10 h, and 20 h) and milling speed (200 rpm, 250 rpm, and 300 rpm) on the powder characteristics were observed on the as-milled powder. The phase identification of mineral composition presented the gehlenite, larnite, magnetite, quartz low, kyanite, and wuestite similar to that in raw steel slag. These phases’ crystallinity was more pronounced at 20 h and 300 rpm, indicating that the internal structure of the powder was altered through mechanical deformation during the milling process. The morphology of the as-milled steel slag with increasing milling time and speed showed a reduction of particle size and was more uniform. Milling time (up to 20 h) and speed (300 rpm) were identified as optimum parameters for producing the finest particle size, which is also supported by its surface area (3.356 m2/g). This study has obtained that increasing milling parameters in high-energy ball milling and speed could reduce the particle size of steel slag powder. The powder might be applied as a reducing agent in wastewater treatment

    Study on the Performance of Polymer Inclusion Membrane for Gold Extraction

    The efficiency of polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) for gold extraction, particularly using Aliquat-336 as a carrier, has been extensively studied. The membrane was fabricated by combining poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-co-HFP) with dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and varying concentrations of Aliquat-336 (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 wt.%). The optimal formulation, incorporating 20 wt.% Aliquat-336 (M5), demonstrated significant improvements in ion exchange capacity (IEC) extraction rates, achieving an impressing 1.697 meq/g and 95.96% extraction efficiency, respectively
