Student Venture in Business Combat: From Ideation to Competition Realization
Norshakinah, Afif, and Aiman saw their goats breeding in abundance. Being a breeder is normal, but if they want to progress and succeed, they have to turn farming into a profitable business opportunity. Acknowledging the inherent limitations of traditional small-scale farming, the three of them set out to strategically transform their current goat-rearing operations into a strong and expandable business in order to capitalize on the growing market demand for products made from goats. Yet, they have lacked entrepreneurial skills, so they partnered with Ammar and Farah. Their expertise in business, food science, and agriculture created a balanced synergy, paving the way for an innovative student venture, Harvest Herd Farm (H2F). They foresaw an opportunity to integrate modern agricultural techniques, a strategic business model, and sustainable agriculture to create a value-added product line that would differentiate them from traditional farmers. They asked themselves if they were confident enough to grow the project into a successful business venture.
"If we are willing to sacrifice and be brave enough to take risks, why not?"
Under the dim glow of the café lights, five pairs of eyes met, each filled with ambition and the spark of possibility. Although they possessed the necessary abilities, know-how, and steadfast support from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), it was insufficient to ensure success. They understood the need for synergy in addition to expertise to make their vision a reality
The Story of Dashuri Aida Sofia Enterprise: A Flavorful Journey Rooted in Purpose
Some stories begin with fireworks. This one began with fire; not the kind that lights up a night sky, but the kind that flickers quietly from a stove at dawn. In a modest home in Semanggol, Perak, a young woman stood alone in her kitchen. She had no formal capital, no elaborate business plan, and no team of advisors; only a second-hand stove, a few borrowed containers, and an unshakable belief that hard work could still build something meaningful.
Her name was Aida.
While others chased titles or queued up for job interviews, Aida chose a different path. She cooked;not just to sell food, but to serve comfort. Each dish was made with her own hands. Every customer was greeted with her own voice. Every order was packed with personal care. Her business wasn’t built on financial capital; it was built on character.
What began as one woman’s quiet hustle eventually grew into a name that carried weight in her community. It wasn’t flashy, but it was real; real food, real effort, and real connection. Through long hours, early mornings, and countless obstacles, Aida built a business that was as heartfelt as it was hardworking.
This case explores the story behind that journey. It reveals the why behind her persistence; why she kept going when the odds were stacked against her. It is a narrative of a dream cooked slowly, seasoned with sacrifice, and served with purpose
Comparative Evaluation of Strong Base Anion Exchange Resin and Activated Carbon for Gold Cyanide Recovery Using Isotherm Modelling
This study presents a comparative evaluation of strong base anion (SBA) exchange resin and activated carbon (AC) for the adsorption of gold cyanide complex ions, Au(CN)??, from cyanide leach solutions. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted at varying dosages, and the equilibrium data were analysed using non-linear Langmuir, Freundlich, and Sips isotherm models. The SBA resin exhibited a significantly higher maximum adsorption capacity and stronger binding affinity (q?=68.94mg/g, K?=3.16 L/mg) than activated carbon (q?= 34.11mg/g, K?= 0.18 L/mg). Model fitting revealed that the Langmuir and Sips models best described the SBA resin\u27s adsorption behaviour (R² = 0.9673, RMSE = 3.49), suggesting monolayer adsorption on a homogeneous surface. In contrast, activated carbon exhibited lower adsorption performance, characterised by greater surface heterogeneity (n = 0.92), as indicated by the Sips model (R² = 0.9427, RMSE = 2.07). These findings confirm that SBA resin provides superior adsorption efficiency, selectivity, and surface uniformity, making it a more promising material for gold recovery, especially in low-concentration or complex cyanide leach systems, compared to activated carbo

Framework of Animation Costume Design in Film Upin and Ipin Keris Siamang Tunggal
Abstract
Folklore plays a vital role in Malay traditional culture, emphasizing elements of Malay identity that have been creatively transformed into 3D animated films. This study examines the characters adapted from these folklores, focusing on their symbolism and the traditional elements incorporated into their costumes. However, existing documentation on costume design often neglects the adaptation process and its relationship to the character, theme, and culture as visual metaphors. The objective of this study is to develop the Character Costume Symbolism Relevance Framework (CCSRF), specifically focusing on the costume designs of folklore characters in the 3D animated film “Upin and Ipin: Keris Siamang Tunggal.". A qualitative approach involving interviews, observations, and literature reviews was employed. Peirce\u27s Triadic Semiotic Theory was utilized to identify the key components representing the representation, object, and interpretation. The findings indicate that character identity, external factors, and visual elements are three interconnected components that influence costume design. These components work together to express the character\u27s identity through the interpretation of relevant symbols in the design. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that the development of this framework can enhance the creativity of artists in producing high-quality Malaysian animated costume designs.
Chinese Traditional Cultural Elements in Modern Furniture: A Quantitative Analysis of Consumer Satisfaction
ABSTRACT
This study explores consumers’ satisfaction towards integrating Chinese traditional cultural elements with modern furniture design in Jiangsu province, China. This study employs a quantitative research approach, utilising a survey-based method to assess consumer satisfaction. A five-point Likert scale was developed as the primary instrument for data collection, specifically measuring consumers’ perceptions of the integration of Chinese traditional cultural elements in modern furniture design. A pilot test was conducted to evaluate the instrument’s reliability and validity, with results indicating strong internal consistency and construct validity, ensuring its suitability for the main study. A total of 300 consumers from Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province,China were randomly selected as participants for the questionnaire survey. The findings indicate that the representativeness of design elements, symbolic meanings, material usage, design patterns, and sales interpretation positively influence consumer satisfaction regarding the integration of Chinese traditional cultural elements in furniture products. A regression analysis was conducted, and a regression equation was formulated to illustrate the relationship between consumer satisfaction and these five independent variables.

A Systematic Literature Review of Nascent Entrepreneurship: PRISMA Protocol
Nascent entrepreneurs are viewed as one of the crucial components in today’s entrepreneurship environment. As nascent entrepreneurs often face unavoidable liabilities due to newness and lack of experience, studying the trends of influencing factors and outcomes can provide a broader understanding for supporting their journey. Adopting the PRISMA approach, this research reviews literature related to nascent entrepreneurship to identify prevailing trends and recommend future directions for stakeholders in the field. Up to 2025, although many systematic literature reviews have been conducted on entrepreneurship topics, limited attention has been given specifically to the trends in nascent entrepreneurship. This analysis categorized past research variables based on their trends, including Competencies (6 antecedents), Psychological (6 antecedents), External Environment (5 antecedents), Social (2 antecedents), and others. This paper contributes by offering recommendations for future research improvement. Theoretically, it is recommended that future studies integrate the proposed categories to conduct more comprehensive investigations into nascent entrepreneurship. Practically, governments and policymakers are encouraged to collaborate with universities in addressing graduate oversupply and promoting entrepreneurship, aiming to transform graduates into “job creators” instead of unemployed individuals. Overall, this review highlights the need for a more integrated and policy-driven approach to support the development of nascent entrepreneurs in the evolving economic landscape

Macroeconomic Determinants of FTSE KLCI Volatility: Evidence from 2006 to 2023
This study examines the impact of key macroeconomic variables: Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), and Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) on the volatility of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FTSE KLCI) from 2006 to 2023. As Malaysia shifts towards a more market-driven financial system, understanding how economic fundamentals influence market behavior is essential. Using a random-effects panel regression model, the study analyses 16 years of data. Results show that GDP and CPI significantly affect FTSE KLCI volatility, indicating that real economic activity and inflation are major drivers of investor responses. CCI, though significant at the 10% level (marginal effect), also influences market fluctuations during uncertain periods. These findings support the semi-strong form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), suggesting the market reflects available economic information. The study offers valuable insights for policymakers and investors aiming to understand and manage volatility in Malaysia’s emerging capital market
