A MYKITS – Kernel Integration Tool for Spreadsheet: A Feasibility Study in Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Ipoh
No full textThe utilization of technology in students information management is no longer a vision, but a necessity to every higher education provider. One of the vital students information management is the marks management. Current practice in Kolej Poly-Tech MARA is dual manual entry of marks to two different platform; SPMP and MDR. This reduces productivity of the teaching staff as it time consuming and prone to error. Due to this problem, MyKITS is created to integrate between these two platforms so that the error can be minimized. This study is the feasibility of using MyKITS among the teaching staff in KPTM Ipoh in academic session November 2023. The findings from the thematic analysis based on the experiences of usage found that the use of MyKITS in marks management is efficient, time saving and reduce the error. This study is important to proceed the innovation for pilot study of field study and bigger sample to test the effectiveness of MyKIT
Developing Items for Measuring Financial Well-being Among Single Mothers in Malaysia: An Exploratory Factor Analysis Procedure
Get PDFThis paper explains the steps involved in conducting an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) on the survey questionnaire to ensure its validity and reliability. A cross-sectional study was utilized and data was collected through a multi-stage random sampling method. The pilot study utilized a self-administered questionnaire distributed to single mothers in Malaysia who received “Bantuan Khas Ibu Tunggal” (BKIT) in 2020. The construct is represented by ten items carefully selected from studies. To ensure validity and reliability, Cronbach's Alpha was calculated for the construct and confirmed that it was reliable. This paper provides a detailed explanation of the procedures for conducting the EFA on Financial Well-being construct. The findings indicated that the instrument for the Financial Well-being construct satisfied the criteria for both construct validity and reliability and could therefore be utilized in further research
Analysis of Development Inequality In Jambi Province
Get PDFThis research is entitled Analysis of Development Inequality in Jambi Province. The research aims to determine the condition of development inequality in Jambi Province and to determine and analyze the influence of Direct Expenditure, Regional Original Income, Domestic investments, and Human Development Index on development inequality in Jambi Province for 2018. 2002-2022. The method used in this research is the multiple linear regression method. The research results show that from 2002 to 2022 the average value of the Williamson Index was recorded at 0.439, which indicates that the level of inequality falls into the moderate inequality category. The largest development inequality occurred in 2010, with a Williamson Index value of 0.533. The largest reduction in development inequality occurred in 2020 where the value of the Williamson Index was able to decrease by 0.08 from 0.432 in 2019 to 0.352 in 2020. During the research period from 2002 to 2022, development inequality was only in 2 categories, namely the medium category and the high, and dominated in the medium category. Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of compensation suitability, internal control, organizational culture and organizational commitment on the tendency of fraud in Tebo Regency government employees. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive analysis method with multiple linear regression, a population of 15 regional organizations that have a sample of 60 respondents. Based on the results of the study, it is shown that simultaneously, namely the suitability of compensation, internal control, organizational culture and organizational commitment together have a significant effect on the tendency of fraud in Tebo Regency government employees. It partially shows that the suitability of compensation has a negative effect on the tendency of fraud in Tebo Regency government employees. Internal control has a negative effect on the tendency of fraud in Tebo Regency government employees. Organizational commitment has a negative effect on the tendency of fraud in Tebo Regency government employees. Meanwhile, organizational culture does not have a negative effect on the tendency of fraud in Tebo Regency government employees

This study focuses on adult learners at Open University Malaysia (OUM), which introduced the 17 SDGs in 2018 through its course OUMH1603: Study Skills for the 21st Century. This course, mandatory for all diploma and undergraduate students, emphasizes 21st-century soft skills, literacy skills, the 4Cs (Creative Thinking, Critical Thinking, Collaborative and Communication Skills), Global Citizenship Education, and Environmental Education. The study aims to analyze students' understanding of sustainability and evaluate their knowledge of the 17 SDGs. A questionnaire was distributed to new diploma and undergraduate students enrolled in the May 2023 cohort of OUMH1603. Exploring Student Emotional Experiences In Mathematics And Statistics Courses Via Online Learning
Get PDFOnline learning is now generally acknowledged and seen as a crucial strategy for overcoming the drawbacks of on-campus instruction, particularly in higher education. Online learning adaptability provides students with a wide range of placement options, from on-the-go placements in the midst of their daily lives to dedicated time and space for learning. Since student emotional involvement has been linked to learning and academic success, it is crucial to investigate student emotions. Therefore, this study uses a factor analysis approach to explore the emotional experiences of all Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) students that enrolled in Mathematics and Statistics courses for the academic semester of April 2022. The students have completed a survey-adapted version of the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire (AEQ-S) consisting of 24 items that surveyed emotional experiences before, during and after online classes. Demographic information was collected, encompassing variables like cumulative grade point average (CGPA), online learning tools, internet stability and measurement of students' enjoyment, pride, anxiety, anger, hopelessness, and boredom. A ten-point Likert scale ranging from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree" measured the respondents' agreement with each item. The result demonstrated that emotions towards an online-based learning system are multifaceted, with three components explored, namely "Frustration and Disengagement", "Motivation and Achievement", and "Anxiety and Apprehension"
