PACKET THRESHOLD ALGORITHM COUPLED WITH MACHINE LEARNING FOR DDoS CLASSIFICATION ATTACKS
Get PDFToday, DDoS attacks are the most common Internet threats. DDoS attacks are generated by attackers from anywhere to disable a company's servers from being accessed by users worldwide. An attacker can easily launch one or more types of DDoS attacks at a time. DDoS attacks that can be generated by attackers include Slowloris, UDP flood, Smurf, HTTP flood, TCP SYN flood and more. Therefore, we have proposed a technique called the Packet Threshold Algorithm (PTA) in this paper, where it is combined with several machine learning to classify normal packet and DDoS attacks, namely UDP flood, Smurf, TCP SYN flood and Ping of Death. There are four machine learning, which are K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression and Support Vector Machine (SVM) combined with the Packet Threshold Algorithm (PTA) to reduce the false positive rate to obtain high detection accuracy. Among the four combinations of techniques, PTA-KNN has been considered the best technique in the context of the reduction of false positive rates. The determination of this best technique is based on the PTA-KNN has achieved the highest detection accuracy (99.83%) compared to the other three techniques with only a 0.02% false positive rate. Courier Tracking Management System with Notification Using Barcode Scanner

However, in reality, the efficiency of obtaining the tracking and managing data is a very challenging task. The aim of this study is to develop an efficient and economical system called the Courier Tracking Management System. This system is developed using Adobe Dreamweaver-based PHP programming and Javascript. The proposed system was initially tested by users using the Unit Testing technique. The proposed system was found to be successful in increasing the efficiency of tracking and managing parcels in KUPTM with a success rate of 85 per cent
The Risk Factors of Suicidal Ideation Among KUPTM Students
Get PDFThis study aims to identify the relationship between thwarted belongingness, perceived burdensomeness, depression, and perceived stress with suicidal ideation. The research is conducted by referring to previous studies. This study used The Interpersonal–Psychological Theory of Suicide as a basis to conduct the study. The study used a survey as a data collection method. For the pre-test, the study collected 129 responses from the Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech Mara Kuala Lumpur. The study used an online form to collect the data. The findings suggested that the independent variables were all correlated to suicidal ideation. Thus, the research finding is significant to expand the literature on suicidal ideation issues in Malaysia. Besides, many precautious measures can be implemented in advance to avoid suicide cases to happen
The Impact of Utilitarian and Hedonic Value on Satisfaction and Food Truck’s Visit Intention
Get PDFThe study aims to assess the relationship between utilitarian and hedonic values, and customer satisfaction and visit intention in the context of food truck dining in Malaysia. Survey responses from 592 food truck customers were collected through customer intercept and an online survey. SPSS and PLS structural equation modelling were used to analyze the data and to examine the research hypotheses. Both hedonic and utilitarian value significantly influences customer satisfaction and visit intention. The result further indicates a significant relationship between customer satisfaction and visit intention to the food truck. The study contributes to the literature on food truck patronage and provides valuable insights for food truck operators and entrepreneurs aiming to explore in food truck business. The finding of this study is helpful for food truck operator who wants to succeed in this industry. Additionally, a government agency can also highlight the relevant key attributes of food truck dining to a young entrepreneur who intends to pursue the food truck business
