This research aims to explore gender representation in Islamic Religious Education textbooks by examining the portrayal of gender through both content and illustrations. The study investigates how gender roles and values are reflected in the Qur'an, Hadith, descriptive narratives, and visuals in the textbooks. Additionally, it explores how Islamic Education promotes gender-related values through various elements, including text, narratives, and imagery. This study uses the library research method, this study analyses gender equality in Qur'anic verses, al-Hadits, descriptive narratives, and illustrations in these textbooks. Data were collected through a literature study, including identifying and reviewing verses, gender narratives, and illustrations. Content and visual analyses were conducted to find gender representation. Each element was analyzed in depth to understand its educational and social implications. The results showed that Qur'anic verses, Hadits of the Prophet Muhammad, descriptive narratives, and illustrative images provide a strong foundation for respecting, protecting, recognizing the contributions, and valuing women's rights in all aspects of life, including education, economy, marriage, inheritance, and family relationships. This demonstrates Islamic Religious Education's commitment to gender equality and justice in treating all individuals, regardless of gender. This research, however, is still limited to religious texts and does not consider the socio-cultural context. It is recommended that future textbooks strengthen the principles of gender justice by including socio-cultural contextualization, helping learners understand its practical application

This study critically reviews the ethics and challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation in education in Indonesia, addressing a significant research gap concerning comprehensive, context-specific, and management-focused analyses. The primary purpose is to identify ethical dilemmas and practical challenges in AI integration within Indonesian educational settings and propose pragmatic solutions. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a critical literature review design, the study systematically analyzed academic literature and policy documents from Scopus, Google Scholar, and ERIC, published between 2020 and 2024. Data were meticulously analyzed using content and thematic analysis. Key findings reveal that while AI offers substantial potential for personalized learning and efficiency, its adoption in Indonesia is significantly hindered by pressing ethical concerns, including student data privacy vulnerabilities, the pervasive threat of algorithmic bias, and challenges to academic integrity. These ethical issues are compounded by substantial infrastructural disparities, particularly in remote regions, and a widespread deficit in digital literacy among educators and students. Furthermore, the research highlights critical educational management and policy gaps, characterized by a lack of comprehensive national strategies, clear institutional guidelines, and robust accountability mechanisms. The study concludes that successful AI integration in Indonesian education necessitates a holistic, integrated, and values-driven strategic management approach, emphasizing ethical governance, extensive capacity building, and robust policy formulation to ensure AI enhances human dignity and educational quality rather than exacerbating existing inequalities.

MSMEs contribute a lot to a region's economy, from absorbing labor and leveling the economy to providing foreign exchange for international-scale MSMEs. Therefore, the government pays close attention to MSMEs under the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic banking and government programs in improving MSME performance by involving 141 respondents who entered Pintar UMKM Salatiga. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through interviews and questionnaire results filled out by MSME actors in Salatiga City who had received financing from Islamic banking. Data analysis in this study used moderated regression analysis to determine whether the moderating variable can strengthen or weaken the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The results of this study show that Islamic banking and entrepreneurial competence significantly influence the performance of MSMEs in Salatiga. However, government programs do not significantly affect the performance of MSMEs in Salatiga. Likewise, the entrepreneurial competence variable cannot strengthen the relationship between Islamic banking and government programs on the performance of MSMEs in Salatiga

The low competency of teachers in Indonesia indicates the need to improve teacher quality through self-renewal led by principals; however, the current fulfillment of teacher needs still prioritizes quantity over quality, and many teachers face obstacles in achieving self-renewal. This study describes the principal's learning supervision strategy in fostering teacher self-renewal capacity. This research method uses qualitative data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving 7 informants: the principal, 4 teachers, and 1 staff member at Public Elementary School (SDN) 035 Soka, Bandung City Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study used the Miles & Huberman model and the data processing employed Nvivo 14 application. The results of this study indicate that the principal implements collaborative strategies in every stage of learning supervision to foster teacher self-renewal capacity. Teachers at SDN 035 Soka have teacher self-renewal capacity, which can be seen from their ability to continue learning and adapting to educational developments by improving their performance through exploitation, exploration, absorption, integration, and leadership. This research provides important implications for the development of learning supervision strategies and the enhancement of teachers' self-renewal capacity. These findings can serve as a reference for school principals to support teachers' professional development and improve the quality of teaching in schools

This study aims to provide a deeper analysis of the effect of green accounting and environmental performance on profitability, especially for companies engaged in the oil and gas sector. The research method used in this study is systematic literature observation with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analyses (PRISMA) approach. Research data from articles collected from 500 articles sourced from the Harzing's Publish or Perish application using Google Scholar sources, then filtered into 27 relevant articles. The results of the study showed 5 articles stating that green accounting and environmental performance had a positive effect and 9 articles were also found discussing only one variable with a positive effect, 5 articles on green accounting variables and 4 articles on environmental performance variables. This is due to increased trust from stakeholders and compliance with applicable environmental regulations. However, the study also found that green accounting and environmental performance research still faces various challenges as evidenced by the weakness of the researc

Economic, social, and professional challenges of madrasa graduates in Pakistan: Pathways for transformative reform

    No full text
Madrasa education constitutes a significant component of Pakistan’s educational landscape; however, its graduates often face persistent economic, social, and professional marginalization due to limited alignment between traditional curricula and contemporary societal demands. Despite their strong grounding in Islamic scholarship, many graduates struggle to access diverse employment opportunities and social mobility. This study aims to examine the economic, social, and professional challenges faced by madrasa graduates in Pakistan and to explore reform-oriented strategies that enhance their social inclusion and employability without compromising religious identity. Employing a mixed-methods design, data were collected through questionnaires administered to approximately 100 madrasa graduates affiliated with major religious boards across Pakistan, complemented by semi-structured interviews with graduates, educators, and madrasa administrators. Descriptive, analytical, and comparative approaches were used to identify recurring patterns and structural constraints. The findings reveal that curriculum rigidity, resistance from senior religious authorities, lack of vocational and technical training, and limited pedagogical innovation significantly hinder graduates’ integration into mainstream society and employment sectors. However, the study also identifies strong support for gradual curriculum reform, vocational skill integration, and targeted teacher professional development. The study concludes that transformative yet context-sensitive madrasa reforms, particularly the integration of skill-based education and modern pedagogical training, are essential for empowering graduates, reducing social stigma, and strengthening madrasas’ contribution to national development. These findings offer a replicable framework for madrasa reform in comparable Muslim-majority contexts

RADICAL APPRAISAL TYPOLOGY: MAPPING ONLINE OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE ON RELIGIOUS MODERATION VIOLATIONS

    No full text
This study investigates how the evaluative system of Appraisal Theory is applied to analyse offensive language within the digital discourse of religious moderation. It addresses the research gap in previous studies that have not systematically linked linguistic evaluation with religion based hate speech. The data consist of social media comments containing violations of religious moderation principles and were analysed qualitatively using the frameworks of offensive language (Zhao and Hovy 2020), Appraisal Theory (Martin and White 2005), and the moderation framework of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag 2019). The findings identify four key types of offensive expression that constitute the Radical Appraisal Typology namely Direct Emotional Offense, Implicit Moral Offense, Cultural Appreciation Offense, and Closed Engagement Offense. These categories represent an evaluative spectrum ranging from overt emotional aggression to implicit moral and ideological exclusion. Theoretically, the study extends the application of Appraisal Theory to the domain of religion based hate speech by revealing how intensification and mitigation mechanisms shape the evaluative force of language. Practically, it underscores the importance of linguistic awareness as a foundation for promoting religious moderation, tolerance, and national cohesion in digital public discourse

The Persistence of Profitability: A Dynamic Panel Data Analysis of Indonesian Public Companies

    No full text
This study analyzes the dynamics of profitability for Indonesian public companies, focusing on the persistence of profits and the roles of leverage and firm size. Using a dynamic panel data analysis with a System GMM estimator on data from 44 firms over 24 years, the findings reveal a lack of profitability persistence, indicating that high profits are short-lived in this competitive market. Furthermore, financial leverage has a strong negative impact on profitability, while firm size shows no significant effect. These results suggest that managers should focus on continuous innovation and maintain a conservative debt policy, and that investors should not rely on past performance as a predictor of future returns. The study provides evidence that sustainable advantage in Indonesia stems from factors beyond mere scale or financial leverage
