Get PDFTantangan literasi di berbagai kelompok usia menjadi isu yang semakin relevan di era informasi, di mana akses terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan literasi mempengaruhi kualitas hidup dan partisipasi sosial individu, untuk mngenalkan pentingnya literasi kita dapat mengawalinya dari usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi, inovasi, dan pendidikan literasi yang efektif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan literasi yang dimulai dari usia dini. Melalui kajian literatur, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi pendekatan yang paling sesuai dan berkelanjutan untuk diterapkan kepada anak usia dini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan literasi yang adaptif, yang memanfaatkan teknologi digital serta melibatkan metode pembelajaran interaktif, mampu meningkatkan keterampilan literasi secara signifikan pada semua kelompok usia. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk para pendidik, pembuat kebijakan, dan komunitas dalam mengembangkan program literasi yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan dan tantangan dalam lingkup anak anak usia dini, agar mereka mampu menjadikan literasi sebagai kebutuhan yang penting bagi mereka kelak nanti. Studi ini diharapkan dimulai sejak dini, yang pada akhirnya mendukung pembangunan sosial-ekonomi dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup seluruh masyarakat nantinya

Get PDFPenelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) terhadap preferensi konsumsi generasi muda di Solo, dengan fokus pada restoran Solo Steak yang menggunakan Instagram sebagai salah satu alat promosi. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan diterapkan dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert kepada 96 responden berusia 18-30 tahun yang merupakan pengguna aktif Instagram. Menggunakan teknik analisis data regresi linier untuk mengukur pengaruh FOMO terhadap perilaku konsumsi generasi muda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa FOMO berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan konsumsi, yang dipicu oleh promosi dari akun instagram Solom Steak dan tren yang saat ini muncul di media sosial. Selain itu, penggunaan Instagram dalam strategi pemasaran termasuk kolaborasi dengan influencer, terbukti efektif dalam menarik perhatian konsumen generasi muda dan meningkatkan penjualan. Mood and Modalities Revealing Teacher’s Power in EFL Classroom Discourse: Critical Discourse Analysis
Get PDFThis research aims to describe how power relation is exercised through mood and modality used by lecturers during the teaching and learning process in the classrooms. It is categorized as descriptive qualitative research, and the data were collected from the utterances of the English Education lecturers through non-participant observation. They were then analyzed by following three stages of Fairclough CDA. The analysis was done from textual to social practice analysis to reveal the relation between the utterance and power the lecturers practiced in the classrooms. The research finding reveals that the power is reflected through the use of imperative, interrogative, and declarative mood structures. Modality is realized through modal auxiliaries: will, would, can, must, could, may, should, and verbs; have to, think, had better, need to, be sure, perhaps, and be going to. Those expressions carry the meaning of volition, obligation, encouragement, permission, demand, and possibilities employed by the lecturers in the classes. The above meanings of those expressions represent the lecturers’ power over the students. The built power relation represents Indonesian culture in which those in higher positions play as superiors. Examining modality and mood expressions used in education will hopefully give an insight into how to build good communication
The impact of technology-based learning media on students’ interests in Christian religious education
Get PDFThe increasing role of technology in education has prompted an examination of its effects on student learning interest. This study aimed to assess the impact of technology-based learning media on students' interest in Christian Religious Education. The research utilized an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consisted of 60 students from high school of Tunas Karya, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Indonesia, equally divided into control and treatment groups. Data were collected using pre- and post-treatment interest tests. Data analysis was conducted using analysis of variance. The results revealed that technology-based learning media significantly enhanced students' interest in learning Christian Religious Education. The findings suggest that integrating technology-based learning media into the curriculum can effectively boost students' engagement and interest in the subject. These results have important theoretical implications, highlighting the potential of technology in educational settings, and practical implications for educators seeking to improve student engagement in religious education
Evaluating pedagogical competence of pre-service teachers in Islamic education: Insights from School Field Practice program
Get PDFTeacher competence is a key determinant of educational quality, particularly in the field of Islamic education where both pedagogical skills and religious teachings must be integrated. This study aims to evaluate the pedagogical competence of pre-service teachers from the Islamic Education Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak during their School Field Practice (PLP). Using a mixed-methods approach, the research assesses pre-service teachers' abilities in designing, implementing, and evaluating lesson plans. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires, while qualitative data were derived from lesson plans and reflective documentation. The findings reveal that pre-service teachers demonstrated strong competence in lesson planning and implementation, with average scores placing them in the "Good" to "Very Good" categories. However, their ability to evaluate their teaching performance showed room for improvement, suggesting the need for more structured training in reflective practice. The study concludes that while the PLP program effectively prepares pre-service teachers in lesson planning and delivery, further emphasis on self-assessment and evaluation is essential for continuous professional development. These findings provide valuable insights for improving teacher training programs in Islamic education and highlight the importance of integrating reflective practices into the curriculum
Improving Communication Skills Through Psychology: A Qualitative Study on Active Listening, Cultural Sensitivity, and Role-Playing Techniques among Undergraduate Students
Get PDFEffective communication is a fundamental aspect of human interaction, impacting personal relationships, academic engagement, and professional success. In psychology education, it is crucial to equip students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical communication strategies that are adaptable to various cultural and social contexts. This study explores how undergraduate psychology students perceive the role of communication in their personal, academic, and future professional lives, as well as the impact of a semester-long course titled "Communication in Psychology" on their skill development. A total of 29 students from the University of American College Skopje participated in the research, reflecting on their experiences through open-ended survey questions after completing the course. Qualitative content analysis was used to identify recurring themes in their responses. The findings suggest that students perceive communication as crucial for fostering empathy, articulating ideas effectively, and avoiding misunderstandings. They reported improvements in active listening, interpreting nonverbal cues, and engaging in culturally sensitive dialogue. Practical exercises, such as role-playing and mock interviews, were efficient in helping students internalize key concepts. Students also highlighted the importance of patience, empathy, and creating nonjudgmental environments to foster meaningful interactions. This study highlights the importance of communication-focused training within the psychology curriculum, underscoring its transformative impact on enhancing self-awareness, intercultural competence, and interpersonal effectiveness—all essential skills for future professionals working in complex, multicultural environments
Pengaruh TikTok terhadap Perilaku Sosial Mahasiswa: Studi Kasus Pengguna Aktif
No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dampak penggunaan aplikasi TikTok terhadap perubahan perilaku sosial mahasiswa di UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta serta menggali faktor penyebab perubahan tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam tentang pengalaman dan makna yang dikonstruksi oleh informan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian mengungkap perubahan perilaku sosial yang menonjol di kalangan mahasiswa pengguna aktif TikTok, yaitu kecenderungan kecanduan, peningkatan budaya konsumtif, intensifikasi upaya eksistensi mengikuti tren, dan terganggunya kualitas istirahat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme algoritmik platform, kemudahan transaksi daring, tekanan sosial untuk tampil eksis, serta pola penggunaan yang tidak teratur berkontribusi terhadap perubahan tersebut. Implikasi penelitian menekankan perlunya penguatan literasi digital dan literasi keuangan, pembinaan manajemen waktu penggunaan media sosial, serta kebijakan kampus yang mendukung kesejahteraan digital mahasiswa. Hasil studi diharapkan menjadi rujukan bagi penelitian lanjutan dan pengembangan program mitigasi dampak media sosial dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi
Ecological Religious-Cultural: New Direction of Ecological Paradigm in the Integration Frame of Maqashid Sharia and Tapanuli Indigenous Religious Concepts
Get PDFThe ecological paradigm in this context refers to an approach that combines environmental principles with religious values and local wisdom in an effort to maintain ecological sustainability and build harmonious relationships between humans and nature. This study used an integrative approach with convergence analysis. In the mechanism of this approach, Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah and Tapanuli indigenous religious concepts are used in a complementary manner in building a paradigm to achieve ethical goals related to ecology. The result of the integration of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah and the traditional religious concept of Tapanuli found that Mangholongi Bona Bulu as a new religious ethic in responding to ecology. The shift from a pseudo-paradigm to an objective is a necessity in building a sustainability ecology. This study makes an important contribution to the development of ecological-religious cultural theory and practice, as well as providing a deeper understanding of religious values and local wisdom in the context of the environment. The implications of this research are the importance of incorporating ecological perspectives in the development of sustainable policies and practices, as well as the need to explore and respect religious traditions and local wisdom in maintaining ecological balance and strengthening human relationships with nature
