PRAGMATIC STRATEGIES OF MALE AND FEMALE CUSTOMERS ON ONLINE CUSTOMER REVIEW AND RATING IN TOKOPEDIA
This research aims to analyze the pragmatic strategies of male and female customers while giving a nebulizer product review sold by Omron Healthcare in Tokopedia's online customer review and rating. The theories used in this research are gender and politeness strategies. This research is qualitative descriptive because the reality of the data depends on the context and is then described based on the context as well. The data source is in Tokopedia's online customer review, whereas the data are transcripts of male and female customers' comments on Omron Healthcare's nebulizer product. This research finds 50 data: 25 are male, and 25 are female customers. The findings show that male and female customers mostly use positive politeness while giving product reviews. However, females only use two sub-strategies of positive politeness, whereas males use four. Furthermore, the research finds that male customers use negative politeness strategies more often. Additionally, males use more off-record than females. Lastly, only males use the off-record strategy. In short, male and female customers give positive comments, but female customers use more hyperbolic expressions, while male customers use reciprocity and approval.

The Application of the RADEC Model with Nearpod Media in Enhancing Cultural and Citizenship Literacy : Penerapan Model RADEC dengan Media Nearpod dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Budaya dan Kewarganegaraan
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model integrated with Nearpod media in enhancing elementary students’ cultural and citizenship literacy. The research involved 60 students from two public elementary schools using a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The results showed an increase in students’ average scores from 59.5 (pre-test) to 83.5 (post-test), with a t-test significance value of 0.01 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement. Each literacy indicator cultural understanding, civic awareness, responsibility, and participation demonstrated consistent growth throughout each stage of the RADEC model. The learning process, supported by interactive Nearpod features such as quizzes, polls, collaboration boards, and digital projects, encouraged students to actively engage, internalize cultural and citizenship values, and express their understanding creatively. Observation results showed an average implementation rate of 85.41%, categorized as “very good.” These findings confirm that integrating the RADEC model with Nearpod media not only improves student learning outcomes but also fosters meaningful engagement with cultural and civic issues, making it a valuable approach for broader educational application
Modeling entrepreneurial intentions among vocational high school students: The roles of education, family, and school support
This study explores the determinants of entrepreneurial intentions among vocational high school students, emphasizing the roles of entrepreneurial education, family support, and school support, with entrepreneurial self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 214 students enrolled in the Business and Marketing Department of a vocational high school in Indonesia. The results show that school support has a significant direct influence on entrepreneurial intentions, while entrepreneurial self-efficacy serves as a crucial mediator between external support systems and students’ entrepreneurial aspirations. Notably, although school support exerts the strongest direct effect, its mediated effect through self-efficacy is comparatively smaller. These findings highlight the importance of developing robust educational frameworks, enhancing family encouragement, and strengthening institutional support to cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets among vocational students. The findings of this study have several practical implications, including the need for curriculum development, targeted teacher training in entrepreneurship education, and fostering collaboration between families and schools. This study contributes to the existing literature by proposing a comprehensive model of entrepreneurial intention formation within vocational education, particularly relevant to emerging economies
SPEECH ACTS ANALYSIS IN POSTS OF AL-JAZEERA'S ARABIC INSTAGRAM PAGE: تحليل أفعال الكلام في منشورات الصفحة العربية لقناة الجزيرة على منصة الإنستغرام
This study investigates the use of speech acts in digital news discourse through an analytical examination of selected posts from the Arabic-language Instagram page of Al-Jazeera. Drawing on the theoretical framework of speech act theory as developed by Austin (1962) and Searle (1969), the research aims to identify the types and pragmatic functions of speech acts employed in visual-verbal posts related to political and social events. Using a descriptive-analytical method and qualitative content analysis, this study reveals that Al-Jazeera's Instagram posts do not merely perform an informative function; rather, they utilize a variety of speech act types—including assertives, directives, expressives, commissives, and declaratives—to construct meaning, influence perception, and guide public sentiment. The analysis highlights the strategic deployment of language in digital Arabic media to serve communicative intentions beyond mere news reporting. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of how language operates as a pragmatic tool in shaping digital public discourse within Arabic media contexts
Navigating Empowerment: Transforming Healthcare Access for Migrant Women through Health Navigation
This study for the first time presents the multifaceted role of health navigation in empowering migrant women, reducing social isolation, and enhancing access to essential services. This research seeks to fill gaps in the literature by investigating the theoretical mechanisms of health navigation, analyzing the relationship between health navigators and migrant women, and assessing the impact of health navigation on healthcare access. The study also aims to provide insights into policy and advocacy implications for a more equitable healthcare system. A narative review was conducted to establish the theoretical foundations of health navigation. The findings underscore the importance of cultural sensitivity and shared experiences in health navigation, enhancing empowerment and trust between navigators and migrant women. The multifaceted impact of health navigation is demonstrated, including increased healthcare knowledge, reduced social isolation, and improved access to community services. Challenges faced by both navigators and migrant women are acknowledged. Importantly, the study highlights the potential for policy change and advocacy efforts to create sustainable, equitable healthcare systems. In conclusion, this research contributes novel insights into the role of health navigation in addressing healthcare disparities for migrant women
The Dual Role of Women in The Dimensions of Family Economic Resilience: An Islamic Perspective
Not all families have a complete parental role, where the demands of the family's economic needs make women participate in improving their family's standard of living by working. Women can position their dual roles, where household chores are still carried out even though they work outside. This study examines the role of women in creating their family's economic resilience. The novelty of this study is that it examines family resilience from an economic dimension and sees the role of women working based on an Islamic perspective. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The results of the study revealed that the dimensions of family economic resilience were measured by the variables of residence, income, education, and financial security. Gender injustice is seen in the world of work where women are placed in less strategic positions than men so that the level of income received is lower. The impact of the low family economy is the low quality of children's education. Women as the party holding the control of financial management need to ensure that financial distribution is right on target
Navigating the tension: Islamic value and digital transformation in Pakistani educational management
This study investigates how educational management is practiced within Islamic institutions by integrating conceptual analysis with qualitative field data from selected madrasas and Islamic universities in Pakistan. Although educational management in Islamic institutions has been widely discussed theoretically, there remains a lack of empirical studies that examine how administrators and teachers actually implement Islamic values in day-to-day management practices, which creates an important gap in the literature. Drawing on qualitative multiple-case study, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with administrators (n = 12) and teachers (n = 18) and supported by a review of institutional documents. The study explores how values such as amanah, shūrā, and ihsan shape leadership behaviour, curriculum decisions, and responses to digital transformation. Thematic analysis reveals that management processes often rely on traditional authority structures and limited strategic planning, and that digital innovation is acknowledged as important yet constrained by inadequate resources. Participants also expressed the ongoing tension between preserving religious authenticity and meeting modern educational demands. Overall, the findings highlight the need for a professionalized and ethically grounded management model that reflects Islamic principles while responding effectively to contemporary educational challenges, and the study proposes an integrated leadership framework to support institutional sustainability and innovation.
Reclaiming sacred knowledge: Afghan women’s agency and Islamic education in post-2021 Afghanistan
Islamic education is a fundamental right in Islamic tradition for both women and men. However, in Afghanistan, women’s access to Islamic education has fluctuated across political regimes and has been severely restricted since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021. These restrictions have intensified debates about the relationship between Islamic doctrine, political authority, and women’s religious agency. This study aims to examine the evolution of women’s Islamic education in Afghanistan, identify contemporary opportunities and barriers to access, and explore how women contribute to transforming Islamic educational thought and practice in the post-2021 context. Using a qualitative exploratory design, the study draws on semi-structured interviews with seven women involved in Islamic education, as students, teachers, and religious educators, across Kabul, Herat, and Nangarhar, complemented by document analysis of policy reports, academic literature, and media sources. Data were analyzed thematically. The findings show that women’s Islamic education is shaped primarily by political regimes rather than Islamic doctrine. While formal access has declined sharply since 2021, women continue to engage in Islamic learning through informal, community-based, and limited digital initiatives. Women also play an active role in reshaping pedagogy and interpretation, emphasizing understanding, ethical reflection, and relevance to lived experience. The study highlights women’s agency and grassroots educational resilience, underscoring the need for offline-first, community-centered Islamic education strategies and greater support for female religious educators in Afghanistan
Zainuddin Al-Malibari's Fiqh of Diversity in Fatḥ Al-Mu’īn
This research elucidates the thoughts on the fiqh of diversity by Zainuddin al-Malibari in the book Fatḥ al-Mu’īn, aiming to conceptually elaborate on Zainuddin al-Malibari's views on the fiqh of diversity and its relevance in fostering harmony in diversity in Indonesia. This research employs a historical approach through library research data. Data analysis involves both content analysis and comparative analysis. The fiqh of diversity elaborated through the concept of jihād by Zainuddin al-Malibari, understood broadly, not just as warfare but also as preaching, can serve as a fundamental value for fostering community harmony in Indonesia. It is essential in maintaining harmony among a society of different ethnicities, religions, and groups. Zainuddin al-Malibari's fiqh of diversity in the book Fatḥ al-Mu'īn emphasizes the importance of realizing the maqāṣid al-sharī'ah principle. Which aims to achieve essential benefits, namely the preservation of religious freedom (ḥifz al-dīn), the protection of every individual's life (ḥifz al-nafs), the safeguarding of the community's economic access (ḥifz al-māl), equal access to education for all members of society (ḥifz al-‘aql), and the protection of the rights of every family (ḥifz al-nasl)
