This research aims to develop the innovation of Troso woven fabric products as a local cultural heritage by applying anti-ultraviolet (anti-UV) technology to increase added value and competitiveness in the modern market. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) which consists of problem identification stages, literature studies, field observations, to design and prototyping. Troso woven fabrics, which have the power of high aesthetic and cultural value, have the potential to be developed through environmentally friendly technological approaches, one of which is by coating titanium dioxide (TiO₂) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles to provide protection against UV radiation. The results of this development show that the incorporation of functional technology with traditional values can create textile products that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also adaptive to the needs of modern consumers, particularly in the outdoor and active fashion sectors. This research is expected to make a real contribution to the preservation of local culture based on innovation and become a reference for the sustainable development of other traditional handicraft product

Current technological developments have had several positive impacts on human survival, one of the positive impacts being the ease of accessing technology via the internet. However, besides that, there are also negative impacts such as a lack of interest in reading in children, especially young children, because children are introduced to gadgets from an early age. It is hoped that the presence of reading parks in the community can be used to increase interest in reading in young children. Green banking policies are crucial in aligning banking practices with environmental sustainability and supporting the global agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, the implementation of such policies, particularly in Islamic banking institutions in Indonesia, remains underexplored. This study examines the implementation of Green Banking policies at Bank Syariah Indonesia in Purwokerto and assesses customer perceptions of these policies. Using a qualitative approach with field research methods, data were collected from Bank Syariah Indonesia employees, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Ngudi Dadi Livestock Group, customers, and MSMEs in Banyumas. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman model with validation through the Triangulation method. The results reveal that Bank Syariah Indonesia has implemented Green Banking through Defensive, Preventive, Offensive, and Sustainable Banking approaches. Additionally, the application of the Green Coin Rating (GCR) framework—including carbon emissions reduction, green rewards, green building initiatives, recycling practices, paperless operations, and green investments—contributes to achieving the SDGs. These findings address research gaps and emphasize the policy's contributions to sustainability and customer engagement

    Get PDF
In 2021, the Indonesian Waqf Board (Badan Wakaf Indonesia) reported the potential of cash waqf to reach approximately IDR 180 trillion annually. As of March 2023, the actual collected amount of cash waqf stood at IDR 2.07 trillion, which includes the accumulated issuance of Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS) totaling IDR 678.15 billion. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of cash waqf as an instrument for economic development is highly contingent upon the management capabilities of waqf administrators (nadzir). The extent to which nadzir are able to manage cash waqf productively significantly influences its potential social and economic impact. This study aims to explore the interpretation of cash waqf as an Islamic public financial instrument for fostering economic development from the perspective of waqf administrators. Employing a qualitative methodology with a Husserlian phenomenological approach, the study distinguishes between noema and noesis through the process of epoche. The findings suggest that cash waqf, as a public financial instrument, must be utilized productively to support long-term economic sustainability. At the macroeconomic level, waqf is positioned as a strategic tool for advancing national economic development. The study recommends concerted efforts among government entities, waqf institutions, and the wider public to strengthen institutional capacity, human resources, technological infrastructure, and public awareness, all of which are critical for enhancing the productive utilization of waqf

    Get PDF
The digitalization of education has significantly broadened access to diverse learning resources, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered tools, thereby offering new avenues for students to cultivate greater autonomy in their learning. This study investigates the level of learner autonomy, the contributing factors, and the potential of AI in supporting autonomous learning among undergraduate students of Islamic Religious Education in the digital learning era. Employing an explanatory mixed-methods design, the research integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 103 students and analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative insights were obtained through semi-structured interviews with four participants. Quantitative findings reveal a high overall level of learner autonomy (mean = 3.66), particularly in students’ ability to access learning materials independently (mean = 4.07), utilize digital resources effectively (mean = 4.02), and select appropriate learning strategies (mean = 3.91). However, limitations persist in students’ reliance on lecturers for digital resource utilization (mean = 2.92) and moderate digital proficiency (mean = 3.56). Key contributing factors include the accessibility of digital learning resources (mean = 3.96) and lecturer guidance (mean = 3.76). Qualitative results highlight the promising potential of AI tools, such as chatbots, intelligent tutoring systems, and adaptive learning platforms, in providing personalized support, instant feedback, and motivation for independent learning. These findings underscore the importance of integrating AI technologies and tailored instructional strategies to foster learner autonomy. The study offers empirical evidence to inform curriculum development and policy initiatives that strengthen self-directed learning in Islamic higher education

These shifts pose challenges for traditional Sufi orders, particularly in adapting to technological advances, social changes, and evolving economic-political landscapes. Sufi order Naqshabandi Haqqani exemplifies a sufi order that effectively responds to modernity through inclusive preaching methods, digital engagement, and social adaptability, while preserving its spiritual essence. This qualitative field research explores how the order adapts to digital technology, approaches social transformation, and maintains relevance in a globalized world. Findings reveal three key aspects: First, the order has expanded significantly in urban areas, attracting followers from various social backgrounds, including elites and bureaucrats. Second, it employs adaptive strategies by embracing innovation and using digital platforms to reach wider and younger audiences. Third, the order adopts a flexible and “easy-going” approach to some Sufi practices, minimizing esoteric and intense philosophical elements that might deter new adherents. This approach reflects a phenomenon of continuity and change, wherein core spiritual teachings are preserved while their presentation and practice evolve to meet contemporary societal needs. As a result, the order remains accessible, relevant, and spiritually meaningful within a modern, digitalized context
