Harnessing artificial intelligence for inclusive education management: Strategies for supporting students with special needs
Inclusive education aims to provide equitable learning opportunities for all students, including those with special needs, yet its implementation faces challenges such as limited resources and curriculum adaptation. Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerges as a promising solution to personalize learning and enhance accessibility. This study investigates the optimal utilization of AI in inclusive education management, focusing on strategies to support students with special needs while addressing implementation barriers. Employing a qualitative case study design, the present research was conducted in AI-implementing inclusive schools in Mataram City, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 participants, including principals, education managers, teachers, students with special needs, and parents, supplemented by participatory observations and document analysis. Thematic analysis was utilized for data interpretation, with triangulation and member checking ensuring validity. Key findings reveal AI's significant role in personalizing learning and enhancing accessibility through adaptive systems, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech functionalities, leading to improved student engagement and comprehension. However, implementation faces substantial challenges, including inadequate digital infrastructure, insufficient teacher training, and a lack of clear ethical and regulatory policies. To optimize AI's use, the study proposes four key strategies: strengthening teacher AI training, developing robust digital infrastructure, establishing clear AI policies and regulations, and fostering the development of more adaptive, human-centered AI. These findings offer theoretical implications for technology integration and socio-constructivist learning, and practical implications for policymakers, educational leaders, teachers, and AI developers in fostering truly inclusive and equitable educational environments
Transforming school leadership: A qualitative inquiry into AI-assisted supervision and teacher performance in Indonesian elementary schools
In the era of digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) presents new opportunities to enhance educational supervision and teacher performance. However, limited research has explored its practical integration in elementary school contexts, particularly in rural Indonesian settings. This study investigates how AI-assisted educational supervision can support leadership practices and improve teacher performance in elementary schools in Cianjur, West Java. Adopting a qualitative case study design, data were collected from 14 participants, including principals (n=4), vice principals (n=3), senior teachers (n=4), and education office supervisors (n=3), through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and non-participant observations. Thematic analysis was conducted, with triangulation and member checking to ensure trustworthiness. Findings reveal that participants generally perceive AI (ChatGPT, Canva, Grammarly and LMS) as a beneficial, supportive tool for enhancing fairness, feedback, and supervisory efficiency. Despite limited infrastructure and formal policies, educators creatively utilized tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Google Forms, Zoom, and Canva to simulate AI-supported supervision. A key and unexpected finding was the proactive adaptation of generative AI tools for lesson preparation and performance reporting, even without formal institutional directives. However, challenges such as digital literacy gaps, infrastructure inequities, and cultural resistance emerged as significant barriers. The study indicates the need for policy support, capacity-building, and culturally responsive frameworks to scale AI in educational supervision

‘ABD AL-QĀDIR AL-JĪLĀNĪ’S SUFISM: A SPIRITUAL RESPONSE TO MODERN CRISES OF MEANING
The spiritual crisis of modern society arises from the loss of divine vision caused by modern lifestyles. Sufism, as an alternative, offers an approach to address this issue. This study analyzes the concept of Sufism by Al-Jīlānī and its relevance in dealing with the spiritual crisis. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research collects data through literature review and documentation. The findings show that Sufism by ‘Abd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī consists of stages including repentance, asceticism, piety, trust in God, patience, contentment, gratitude, poverty, sincerity, love, and knowledge of God. These stages provide solutions to the spiritual crisis and function as self-control in facing the negative influences of modern society. The application of ‘Abd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī’s concept of Sufism is relevant as a response to three clusters of issues in contemporary society: spiritual, psychological, and social. This study also highlights the need for further research to evaluate the effectiveness of Sufism in addressing the spiritual crisis. The unique contribution of this research is its emphasis on the relevance of the Sufi concept in the context of modern society and its potential application to improve the fragmented spiritual condition
CAPITALISM AND THE COMMODIFICATION OF RAMADAN IN INDONESIAN CONTEXT
This article critically examines the commodification of Ramadan fasting rituals through a Marxist perspective. Situated within the discourse of Marxist social critique, it investigates how capitalism transforms religious practices into commercialized spectacles and ideological instruments. Drawing upon a conceptual and theoretical approach through critical literature review, this study synthesizes classical Marxist theories from Marx and Engels, as well as neo-Marxist frameworks including Gramsci’s concept of hegemony, the Frankfurt School’s critique of commodification, and Althusser’s theory of ideological state apparatuses. The analysis engages with empirical illustrations such as advertising strategies, shifting consumption patterns during Ramadan, and state-sponsored religious campaigns. This study is conceptual and does not rely on original field data, but instead critically analyzes existing literature and socio-cultural phenomena. The findings reveal the dual function of Ramadan within capitalist society: as a cultural critique of consumerism grounded in simplicity, empathy, and social solidarity, and simultaneously as a tool co-opted to reinforce consumerism, class stratification, and hegemonic ideology. By highlighting how Ramadan rituals subvert and support capitalist structures, this paper contributes to scholarly discourse on the intersection of religion, ideology, and political economy in contemporary Muslim societies

TYPES OF PROCESS IN THE CLAUSES OF EMINEM'S 'HOUDINI' SONG LYRICS: A TRANSITIVITY ANALYSIS
This article discusses a transitivity analysis under the scope of systemic functional linguistics and it focuses on the types of processes in the clauses of Eminem’s Houdini song lyrics. Apart from just the processes, this paper also aimed to know how each stage of the song lyrics has different numbers of processes, so that the social construction from the staging can be seen further. This research is qualitative-descriptive since the data are multiple and holistically constructed. The data were collected from the transcription of the song lyrics which were then analyzed by using Spradley’s (1980) model of analysis. The stages of the analysis comprise domain, taxonomy, componential, and cultural theme analysis. The results show that the song mostly uses relational identifying process with as many as 46 data. Next, the stage that has the most processes is the third verse with total 46 data. Additionally, the verses carry the main narrative and thematic contents so that they have more processes, often repetitive, than the other song sections. The conclusion is that relational identifying processes are mostly used to identify or show the presence of Eminem, Slim Shady, and the controversy Eminem brings in the new album as well as what he already brought in the old albums
Moral Branding and Muslim Consumer Agency: A Study of Purchase Behavior Toward Israel-Affiliated Halal Products
The ongoing Israel–Palestine conflict has triggered global repercussions, including the emergence of boycott movements against products affiliated with Israel. This phenomenon has influenced the consumption patterns of Muslim communities, particularly Generation Z, who demonstrate high social awareness and are deeply connected to digital media. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image, brand experience, and brand ambassador on the purchasing decisions of halal products associated with Israeli affiliations among Generation Z in Pekalongan Regency. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 100 purposively selected respondents. Data were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, and classical assumption tests using EViews 10 software. The results show that brand image and brand ambassador have a significant partial influence on purchasing decisions, while brand experience does not. Simultaneously, all three variables exert a significant influence, with an Adjusted R² value of 46.1%. These findings highlight that ethical and social awareness play a crucial role in Generation Z’s purchasing decisions, outweighing functional brand experience alone. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of brand communication strategies that are sensitive to geopolitical issues and aligned with the moral values of Muslim consumers
