The Decline of Islam and the Progress of the Western World
This article aims to find out the history of the decline of Islam and the progress of the Western World. This research uses library research or literature study; the research source focuses on books and articles related to the discussion. The result of this research is to find out that the decline of Islam occurred during the Abbasid dynasty, when there were various problems that caused Islamic civilization to begin to weaken and even decline. The decline of Islam was primarily caused by the Mongol invasion, which marked the Abbasid period's collapse. In addition, fragmentation and intellectual stagnation were also major factors in the collapse of Islam in the Abbasid period. While the progress of the Western World is inseparable from the history of Islamic civilization, which experienced progress and decline, the factors that became the main cause in the progress of the Western World are Renaissance and Humanism, which marked the beginning of the progress of the western world with the transition of social changes in society to massive. The Science Revolution, Industrial Revolution, Colonialism, and Imprealism are also important factors in the progress of the Western World.
Risk culture evaluation: A case study of Islamic Bank XYZ
In response to the 2007–2009 financial crisis and various instances of risk management failures impacting financial institutions, regulators and companies have become increasingly aware of the critical role that risk culture plays in enhancing the effectiveness of risk management within financial organizations. Recently, Bank XYZ has experienced a significant rise in losses due to operational incidents closely linked to aspects of its risk culture. This study utilizes the Financial Stability Board’s (FSB) Sound Risk Culture Indicators framework to assess the strength of the risk culture at Bank XYZ. Data was collected through questionnaires completed by 44 respondents, interviews with two senior leaders, and a review of relevant documents. The findings reveal that, overall, Bank XYZ demonstrates strong risk culture indicators, though there are areas for improvement, including: the articulation of leadership’s risk culture aspirations, the establishment of clear reporting channels for products and practices, the processing of significant past incidents as lessons learned, the systematic evaluation of risk culture aspects, and the strengthening of the control function's roles and authority in business decision-making. This study provides valuable insights into the resilience of an Islamic bank’s risk culture in Indonesia, using the FSB’s Sound Risk Culture Indicators
THE CONSTRUCTION OF AGENDA SETTING IN THE DA’WAH BROADCASTING OF SALAM TV
Islamic media platforms such as Salam TV have reshaped religious broadcasting, influencing both public discourse and spiritual identity. However, research has largely emphasized audience impact, with little attention given to how editorial and institutional processes shape da’wah content, particularly in campus-based platforms. This study adopts a qualitative case study approach to explore agenda-setting within Salam TV’s da’wah programming. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and focus group discussions involving 140 informants, including broadcasting managers, content producers, Islamic scholars, and viewers. Thematic analysis was employed to identify recurring patterns in editorial decision-making and institutional influence. Findings reveal that Salam TV’s editorial priorities are strongly shaped by theological imperatives rooted in the Salafi tradition. Programming themes consistently emphasize ‘aqīdah, akhlāq, and Islamic jurisprudence, supported by structured mechanisms for selecting themes, developing scripts, and conducting theological reviews. While audiences value the program’s theological precision, younger viewers tend to prefer more inclusive language and contemporary framing. The study highlights the tension between theological rigor and communicative adaptability in campus-based Islamic media. To remain relevant and credible across diverse audiences, Islamic broadcasters must integrate theological accuracy with responsive communication strategies
Unpacking the policy implementation in Islamic schools: A case of MAN 1 Kudus Indonesia
This qualitative case study investigates the complex dynamics of policy implementation within Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, focusing on the "madrasah unggul" (excellent madrasah) policy at MAN 1 Kudus. The study's purpose is to unpack how national directives are operationalized at the school level, examining the interplay between government mandates and institutional leadership. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with key informants, including the kabid (head of the Islamic education division at the regional office) and the headmaster of MAN 1 Kudus, supplemented by document analysis and non-participant observations. Key findings, analyzed through Edward III’s model, reveal that successful implementation is driven by a highly effective, two-way communication flow, robust and strategically managed human and financial resources, and a strong, proactive disposition among implementers. Furthermore, an adaptive bureaucratic structure, characterized by collaborative problem-solving rather than rigid enforcement, significantly facilitates policy execution. While the school demonstrates exemplary resource mobilization and commitment, emerging concerns regarding educator workload highlight areas for continuous improvement. The study concludes that effective policy implementation in such hybrid educational settings hinges on adaptive governance and strong stakeholder collaboration, providing valuable insights for policymakers and school leaders. Despite its specific institutional focus, this research underscores universal principles for enhancing educational reforms in diverse contexts

Leveraging Zakat and Waqf for Public Health Improvement: Islamic Philanthropy’s Role in Addressing Stunting in Indonesia
This study investigates the importance of Islamic philanthropy, particularly zakat and waqf, in combating child stunting in Indonesia. Islamic philanthropy can work as a long-term and effective way to reach this goal by combining ethical frameworks, institutional progress, and policies that have been proven to work in the real world. The study uses a narrative review method that is based on looking at history. The process entails methodically gathering literature from the Scopus database utilizing Boolean search strings such as Islamic Philanthropy, Stunting AND Indonesia, Zakat, and Waqf. The findings indicate that Islamic social finance has transitioned from traditional charitable donations to a system focused on impact, integrating religious principles with national development objectives. Faith-based financing can help improve nutrition, sanitation, and maternal health outcomes, as shown by programs like Zakat Community Development and Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk. However, integrating Islamic philanthropy into public health frameworks encounters obstacles stemming from regulatory ambiguity, fragmented governance, and inadequate impact evaluation. The study stresses the importance of having standardized performance metrics, working together across sectors, and making progress in digital technology to make sure that developmental outcomes can be measured. This study fundamentally enriches both theoretical and practical comprehension of Islamic philanthropy, reconciling the intersection of religious obligation and enduring human advancement. It offers a culturally attuned approach to achieving health equity and social justice in Muslim-majority contexts

Enhancing scientific literacy through AI-integrated Inquiry Social Complexity module in primary education
The pedagogical approach to science education at SDN 1 Labuhan Ratu, Lampung province, Indonesia, has traditionally been rooted in didactic methods and rote memorization, a paradigm that has proven insufficient for cultivating higher-order cognitive skills and inquiry-based learning. This instructional framework has been directly correlated with suboptimal levels of scientific literacy among a cohort of 33 fourth-grade students. To address this gap, this study's primary objective was to design, develop, and validate an innovative AI-integrated Inquiry Social Complexity (ISC) learning module intended to elevate students' scientific literacy. The research methodology was grounded in the ADDIE developmental model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) to ensure a systematic and rigorous creation process. The integration of artificial intelligence was instrumental in personalizing learning trajectories, scaffolding complex inquiry tasks, and delivering instantaneous, needs-based feedback, thereby enriching the core ISC framework. The module’s efficacy was substantiated through a comprehensive validation process, which confirmed its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Empirical data from its implementation revealed a statistically significant enhancement in students’ scientific literacy, evidenced by an average N-gain score of 0.73, which signifies a high level of effectiveness. This research provides a valuable contribution to educational discourse by demonstrating the synergistic potential of AI and social inquiry within primary science education. The resultant module offers a transformative pedagogical model that cultivates critical, reflective, and collaborative competencies. Its broad adoption is advocated for in curriculum reform efforts, particularly within resource-constrained educational environments where innovative and adaptable instructional solutions are of paramount importance
