A novel multilevel inverter with reduced switch count
This paper presents a multilevel inverter with reduced number of switches to produce a five level output. PWM technique (pulse width modulation) has been used to trigger the MLI switches. It gives reduced harmonic. This proposed topology is connected with R-load and RL-load. Four signals are generated for switching on the multilevel inverter (MLI) switches by comparing four level triangular waveform with sine wave. In this proposed topology two switches are reduced from the conventional Cascaded five level inverter. The simulation analysis has been done by MATLAB/SIMULINK
Performance analysis of security framework for software defined network architectures
Software defined data centers (SDDC) and software defined networking (SDN) are two emerging areas in the field of cloud data centers. SDN based centrally controlled services takes a global view of the entire cloud infrastructure between SDDC and SDN, whereas Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is widely used for providing virtual networking between host and Internet Service Providers (ISP’s). Some Application as a Service used in NFV data centers have a wide range in building security services like Virtual firewalls, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), load balancing, bandwidth allocation and management. In this paper, a novel security framework is proposed to combat SDDC and SDN based on NFV security features. The proposed framework consists of a Virtual firewall and an efficient bandwidth manager to handle multiple heterogeneous application requests from different ISPs. Real time data were taken from an experiment for a week and A new simulation based proof of concept is admitted in this paper for validation of the proposed framework which was deployed in real time SDNs using Mininet and POX controller
Multi-objective wind farm layout optimization using evolutionary computations
The usage of fossil fuels is actually not good for living nature and in future, this limited source of energy will vanish. Therefore, we need to go with the clean and renewable source of energy such as wind power, solar energy etc. In this paper, we are concentrating in wind power through optimizing the wind turbine placement in wind farm. The area-of-convex hull, maximize ‘output power’ and minimum spanning tree distance are our main objective topics, due to their effect in wind farm design. An implementation of modified version of the wind turbine (WT) placement model is uses to estimate the yields of the (wind farm) WF layouts and for simplifying the behavior of wind field, in this paper we uses a simple wake approach. Moreover, to resolve the multi-objective problem here we proposed (Modified Genetic Algorithm) MGA, which is considerably better than the (Genetic Algorithm) GA and for evaluate the performance of MGA we use the multi-objective (EA) evolutionary algorithms such as; Genetic algorithm (GA) and SPEA2 and, produce different number of WT layouts. These methodologies are consider with various ‘problematic specific operators’ that are present in this paper

We analyzed growth of films by gas phase epitaxy. Based on the analysis we formulate conditions to increase of homogeneity of properties of obtained films. We also present an analytical approach for analysis processes framework gas phase epitaxy with account natural convection and the possibility of changing the rate of chemical interaction between reagents
High impedance fault detection in distribution system
High impedance faults (HIFs) present a huge complexity of identification in an electric power distribution network (EPDN) due to their characteristics. Further, the growth of non-linear load adds complexity in HIF detection. One primary challenge of power system engineers is to reliably detect and discriminate HIFs from normal distribution system load and other switching transient disturbances. In this study, a novel HIF detection method is proposed based on the simulation of an accurate model of an actual EPDN study with real data. The proposed method uses current signal alone and does not require voltage signal. Wavelet transform (WT) is used for signal decomposition to extract statistical features and classification of HIF into Non-HIF (NHIF) by Neural Networks (NNs). The simulation study of the proposed method provides good, consistent and powerful protection for HIF
Compact planar ultrawideband MIMO antenna for wireless applications
A compact microstrip fed printed monopole MIMO antenna with ultrawideband (UWB) frequency response (S11< -10 dB for 3.1-10.6 GHz) is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna is miniaturized and has a high isolation of > 23 dB between the ports compared to the existing UWB multiinput multi output (MIMO) antennas in the literature. The proposed antenna is built on FR4 substrate with thickness of 1.6 mm using all-digital single chip architecture and it is planar in geometry to be easily integrated with the other electronic components in the printed circuit board (PCB). The UWBMIMO antenna is analyzed using simulation and measurements and its performance is investigated. The antenna is extremely useful for low power short range communications and it provides high multipath immunity due to diversity
A novel impedance source fed H-type flying capacitor multilevel inverter
In this paper, simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK is performed withbipolar triangular fixed amplitude multi-carrier Phase Disposition (PD)PWM strategy with sine wave, Third Harmonic Injection, 60 degree Pulse Width Modulation and stepped wave reference for the chosen impedance Source based H-Type flying capacitor Multilevel Inverter (ISBH-Type FCMLI). The root means square value of the fundamental component and Total Harmonic Distortion of the output voltage which are the most important performance indices for the chosen inverter topologies are evaluated presented and compared for various references through duty ratios. From the simulation results it is observed that for various references the THD is almost similar but the root mean square value in terms of voltage is more for THI, 60 degree PWM and stepped wave reference with phase disposition strategy. The results are obtained for ma (amplitude modulation index) < 1 (under amplitude modulation index), ma=1 (normal amplitude modulation index) and ma > 1 (over amplitude modulation index)
Frequency regulation of modern power system using novel hybrid DE-DA algorithm
An attempt has been made to regulate the frequency of an interconnected modern power system using automatic generation control under a restructured market scenario. The system model considered consists of a thermal generation plant coupled with a gas turbine plant in both areas. The presence of deregulated market scenario in an interconnected power system makes it too vulnerable to small load disturbance giving rise to frequency and tie line power imbalances. An attempt has been made to introduce a novel Tilted Integral derivative controller to minimize the frequency and tie line power deviations and restrict them to scheduled values. A maiden attempt has been made to tune the controller gains with the help of a novel hybrid optimization scheme which includes the amalgamation of the exploitative nature of the Differential evolution technique and the explorative attributes of the Dragonfly Algorithm. This hybrid technique is therefore coined as Differential evolution- dragonfly algorithm (DE-DA) technique. Use of some standard benchmark fucntions are made to prove the efficacy of the proposed scheme in tunig the controller gains. The supremacy of the proposed TID controller is examined under two individual market scenarios and under the effect of a step load disturbance. The robustness of the controller in minimizing frequency deviations in the systems is broadly showcased. The superiority of the controller is also proved by comparing it with pre published results
Machining time and number of machine for the production planning of wheel nut releaser with the demand of 100 units/day
The impact of competition in the industry has driven people to improve the effectiveness of production process. One of the main factors supporting that effectiveness is the good planning of both the need and the number of machines. The aim of this study is to estimate the machining times to determine the number of machines to manufacture 100/day of the nut releaser tool for car wheel. The result shows that the need of the number of machines to manufacture each component of the nut releaser tool for car wheel are 7 units of power hacksaw, 27 units of lathe machine, 8 units of drilling machine, 12 units of milling machine, 2 units of EDM machine and 25 units of bench work
Survey of part-of-speech tagger for mixed-code Indian and foreign language used in social media
Part-Of-Speech Tagger (POS Tagger) is a tool that scans the text in specific language and allocates chunks of speech to individual word (and another token), such as verb, adjective, nown etc., as more fine-grained POS tags are used in computational applications like 'noun-plural'. Basically, the goal of a POS tagger is to allocate linguistic (mostly grammatical) information to sub-sentential units, called tokens as well as to words and symbols (e.g. punctuation). This paper presents a survey of POS Tagger used for code-Mixed Indian and Foreign languages. Various methods, procedures, and features required to device POS Tagger for code-mixed foreign languages especially for Indian are studied and observations related to it are reported
