Evaluation of the economic efficiency of honeycomb girders of roofs of industrial steel-framed buildings
Get PDFA honeycomb girder (HCG) is defined by a mirror symmetric composition of two trapezoidal corrugated steel sheets (TCSSs). Mechanical fasteners such as screws or rivets connect them. This connection creates a honeycomb-like profile, which permits double height and thereby explicitly improves the stiffness compared to a single TCSS. The present paper investigates the economic efficiency of HCGs in the application as a cladding of roofs and facades of industrial steel-framed buildings. The typical primary structure of industrial steel buildings consists of steel frameworks, which where arranged in an equidistant manner. Orthogonally to the span direction of the steel frameworks TCSSs span between them, catch wind and snow loads and conduct the forces in the primary structure. Based on a numerical parametric study on the load carrying behavior of HCGs under bending 30 different industrial steel-framed building systems where structurally designed due to the rules of Eurocode 3. The investigated systems differ in framework distances, framework width and snow loads. By comparing the determined steel tonnage of each system with the steel tonnage of a reference system, which is constructed with commonly used TCSSs, the economic efficiency of HCGs in the application as a cladding of roofs and facades of industrial steel-framed buildings becomes evaluated
A numerical parametric study on the load carrying behavior under bending of honeycomb girders
Get PDFA honeycomb girder (HCG) is defined by a mirror symmetric arrangement of two trapezoidal corrugated steel sheets (TCSS). Mechanical fasteners such as screws or rivets connect them. The high bending stiffness of HCGs provides the opportunity to span distances up to 14.0 m. Especially in the application as a cladding of roofs and facades of industrial steel-framed buildings this new construction type promises the potential to improve the resource and economic efficiency of these buildings. Former experimental investigations verified a numerical model. Based on this finite element method (FEM) model a parametric study on HCGs with an equidistant fastener arrangement has been carried out. By applying three design criteria on the numerical results the maximum characteristic surface loads for 360 HCG constellations have been determined. Raumordnungsverfahren. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist die Entwicklung verschiedener
Handlungsempfehlungen für eine verbesserte Beteiligung und Information der Bürger bei diesen Verfahren. Zuerst erfolgt eine Darstellung von Grundlagen im Bereich Partizipation, Technische Netzinfrastruktur sowie Planung und Genehmigung von Stromübertragungsleitungen. Die Untersuchung basiert auf der Betrachtung verschiedener Kriterien, die als Indikatoren am Beispiel von drei Fallstudien zum Stromübertragungsnetzausbau überprüft werden. Im Rahmen dieser Studien werden Experteninterviews geführt und Presseauswertungen vorgenommen. Nach der Auswertung der Fallstudien und dem Aufzeigen der Handlungsempfehlungen werden am Ende sowohl ein methodisches als auch ein inhaltliches Fazit gezogen.This research report deals with public participation and Raumordnungsverfahren (an instrument of German spatial planning). The aim of this thesis is to develop different recommendations for an improved public participation and information in the context of Raumordnungsverfahren. At first, basic knowledge of participation, technical grid infrastructure and the process for planning and approval of power lines is presented. The research is based on different criteria, which in the form of indicators will be used to examine three case studies in the field of electrical grid expansion. Within the scope of the investigation interviews and media analyses will be done. In the end, a conclusion will be drawn with regards to methodology as well as content

No full textDie Projektgruppe hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, sich mit dieser aktuellen Debatte zu beschäftigen und sowohl das Konzept als auch die Planung des Raumes unter den Gesichtspunkten einer zeitgemäßen Stadtplanung zu diskutieren und zu entsprechenden Schlussfolgerungen zu gelangen. Grundlage sind daher drei Leitfragen. - Was steckt hinter den neuen Plänen für den Hamburger Osten? Dahinter steht auch die Frage, welche Rolle das Konzept in der Stadtentwicklung Hamburgs einnimmt und welche Rolle der Stadtplanung in diesem Stadtentwicklungsprozess zukommt.
- Wie kann man sich einem gewachsenen Stadtteil auf andere Art nähern?
Hauptaufgabe des Projekts soll auch sein zu untersuchen, inwieweit und welche
unterschiedlichen Methoden der Bestandsaufnahme ein noch tiefgreifenderes
Bild des Bestands und der Akteure vor Ort ermöglichen können. Ziel ist vor allem
die Raumaneignung auf Augenhöhe mit den Akteuren.
- Welche alternativen Planungsansätze lassen sich auf Grundlage der gewonnen
Erkenntnisse entwickeln? In einem letzten Schritt geht es dann um die Frage,
ob sich durch die zuvor gewählte Methode der Raumanalyse alternative oder
ergänzende Planungsansätze für den Hamburger Osten ergeben können und wie
diese sich ausgestalten lassen
