What Makes Good Research in Software Engineering?
This paper discusses challenges and opportunities in engineering education, in particular in the area of control and automation, that have been made possible through advanced ITsystems and Internet. The paper reviews different types of didactic plants that evolved hands-on and simulated labs, both local as remotely accessed, to mixed reality and virtual world labs, where student avatars are used to increase the sense of reality and promote collaboration. As experience shows that alone the use of such didactic plants is not enough to ensure success in the learning process and that their integration into e- learning environments is important, the main characteristics of Computer Supported Collaborative Environments (CSCE) are discussed and some relevant initiatives in this area are reviewed. BRAIN TUMOR DETECTION USING CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NET WORK

and gives a clear resolution of the tumors in an improved quality image. The fundamentals of MRI are to develop images based on magnetic field and radio waves of the anatomy of the body. The major area of segmentation of images is medical image processing. Better results are provided by MRI images than CT scan, Xrays etc. Nowadays the automatic tumor detection in large spatial and structural variability. Recently Convolutional Neural Network plays an important role in medical field and computer vision. One of its application is the identification of brain tumor. Here, the pre-processing technique is used to convert normal images to grayscale values because it contains equal intensity but in MRI, RGB content is included. Then filtering is used to remove the unwanted noises using median and high pass filter for better quality of images. The deeper architecture design in CNN is performed using small kernels. Finally, the effect of using this network for segmentation of tumor from MRI images is evaluated with better results
Creation of Global Supercontinents by Force of the Rotating Earth’s Changing Axis
In the course of the creation of the earth, continents formed that united, became supercontinents, and in continuation split into small continents which again united, again creating supercontinents. This cycle of phenomena probably was ongoing in the course of the earth’s entire existence.

Towards the Development of Intelligent Transportation Systems
Science communication forms the bridge between computer science researchers and their target audience. Re- searchers who can effectively draw attention to their research findings and communicate them comprehensibly not only help their target audience to actually learn something, but also benefit themselves from the increased visibility of their work and person. However, the necessary skills for good science communication must also be taught, and this has so far been neglected in thefield of software engineering education.
We therefore designed and implemented a science communica- tion seminar for bachelor students of computer science curricula. Students take the position of a researcher who, shortly afterpublication, is faced with having to draw attention to the paper and effectively communicate the contents of the paper to oneor more target audiences. Based on this scenario, each student develops a communication strategy for an already published software engineering research paper and tests the resulting ideas with the other seminar participants.
We explain our design decisions for the seminar, and combine our experiences with responses to a participant survey into lessons learned. With this experience report, we intend to motivate and enable other lecturers to offer a similar seminar at their university. Collectively, university lecturers can prepare the next generation of computer science researchers to not only be experts in their field, but also to communicate research findings more effectively
Risk Management in Construction Projects in Afghanistann
The topic of this research is Risk Management in Construction Projects in Afghanistan. The main purpose of this paper is to identify risk factors and how to mitigate, minimize, and response to those identified risk factors. The main scope of this study is done by doing questionary survey by filling the designed format in which all aspects related to risk management and its mitigation are placed by different question methods. The result of the questionary survey has diverse outcome including risk management, risk assessment, main causes of delays, types of risk in construction industries, risk management process steps, mitigation of identified risk in construction projects, and impact of identified risk factors on main component of the project (cost, quality, and schedule). In addition, these findings provide additional information about financial risk and delay in implementation of the project are also critically important, because most of the mega projects in Afghanistan are funding by numerous international organizations/donors. Some of the financial risks in constructions industry are currency exchange rates, income taxes, inappropriate estimation of the projects, working items, unexpected increment in price of materials, procurement, and delay in payment process. These are some of the main financial risk factors which have direct impact on the construction projects. On the other hand, the main causes of being behind the schedule are security issues, poor management, delay in supply of construction materials and social destructions as well. As a result, all construction projects have different risk from the initial to inauguration phase therefore, proper technical team of the management especially the sector of risk management is indispensable to be involved in every construction industry, however, in Afghanistan the stance of risk management is not common to be considered according to this research investigation. It’s recommended that a proper team of risk management with experts in management, especially in risk management should be considered in every planning project. This will assist the project manager to reduce risks and execute stable project within time and budget
Enhanced Public Key Infrastructure for Public e-Services in India
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is enabling infrastructure that provides authentication processes, public-key cryptography, and digital signatures to ensure confidentiality, data integrity, authentication and non-repudiation. PKI offers these "trust and security" services by using distinctive components like Certificate Authority, Encryption key management, end-user encryption software tools for storing, renewing, and revoking digital keys and secure socket layer certificates. This paper will present an architectural model to provide pki as a service in India for e-governance to provide public services in a secure way by addressing several shortcomings of the current infrastructure and its proposed extensions.
 
SHORELINE CHANGE DETECTION BETWEEN KALLAR AND VAIPPAR COAST, TAMILNADU, INDIA, USING GEOSPATIAL TECHNOLOGIES
Coastal zones are constantly undergoing wide changes in shape and environment due to natural as well as human development activities. recreational activities, waste disposal etc. The shoreline change study has become a matter of great concern in the recent years. The measurement of shoreline is a key factor in coastal zone construction. The traditional ground survey is time and cost consuming. An attempt has been made in this paper to evaluate the shoreline change study based on multi-temporal satellite data. The shoreline change information obtained from multi-temporal IRS 1D LISSIII and PAN within period of 5 years difference images registered in GIS environment. All multi-temporal shoreline change vectors provide quantitative information on the coastal hazard due to erosion and accretion. The changes are caused by heavy exploitation of heavy mineral sand, coastal erosion and accretion occurred in some local places. There are two zones namely Kallar and Vaippar vigorously undergoing coastal erosion. It shows that about 473 sq.km areas have been eroded between the north of Kallar and Sippikulam either due to natural process or by human influence.
 
Fault Tolerance- Challenges, Techniques and Implementation in Cloud Computing
Fault tolerance is a major concern to guarantee availability and reliability of critical services as well as application execution. In order to minimize failure impact on the system and application execution, failures should be anticipated and proactively handled. Fault tolerance techniques are used to predict these failures and take an appropriate action before failures actually occur. This paperdiscusses the existing fault tolerance techniques in cloud computing based on their policies, tools used and research challenges. Cloud virtualized system architecture has been proposed. In the proposed system autonomic fault tolerance has been implemented. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system can deal with varioussoftware faults for server applications in a cloud virtualizedenvironment.
 
Using Software Defined Networking to manage and control IEC61850-based systems
Smart Grid makes use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastruc- tures for the management of the generation, transmission and consumption of electrical energy to increase the efficiency of remote control and automation systems. One of the most widely accepted standards for power system communication is IEC 61850, which defines services and protocols with different requirements that need to be fulfilled with traffic engineering techniques. In this paper, we discuss the implementation of a novel management framework to meet these requirements through control and monitoring tools that provide a global view of the network. With this purpose, we provide an overview of relevant Software Defined Networking (SDN) related approaches, and we describe an archi- tecture based on OpenFlow that establishes different types of flows according to their needs and the network status. We present the implementation of the architecture and evaluate its capabilities using the Mininet network emulator.
 
Phytochemical and Pharmacological Evaluation of Ethanolic Extract of Moringa Oleifera as Neuroprotective Agent in Vincristine Induced Peripheral Neuropathy
The objective of this study was to phytochemically analyze the ethanolic extracts of the leaves of Moringa oleifera and thereafter to evaluate its neuroprotective activity in vincristine induced peripheral neuropathy.The fresh leaves of Moringa oleifera were collected, powdered and extracted with ethanol. Thereafter the dried ethanolic extract was subjected to phytochemical analysis using various analytical techniques primarily GC-MS to identify the bioactive phytochemical components. Acute toxicity studies were also carried out on the extract. After overnight fasting peripheral neuropathy was induced in Wistar rats by intraperitoneal injection of vincristine 100μg/kg/day body weight dissolved in saline (0.1ml/kg/day). Group A served as normal control while group B was considered as neuropathy control. Group C was standard receiving methylcobalamin (50μg/kg i. p) and Group D & E neuropathy animals were treated with the extract, dose of 250 and 500 mg/kg/b. w p.o. respectively. During the investigations, studies were carried out by in-vivo models such as tail flick, acetone spray method, pain sensation test, nerve conduction test as well as proinflammatory and antioxidant studies. At the end of study, animals in all groups were sacrificed, the sciatic nerve was dissected and histopathology was performed. The interpretation of the results was done after subjecting the data obtained from various studies to statistical analysis which included descriptive statistics, ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. Ethanolic extract of Moringa oleifera leaves were phytochemically analyzed and showed presence of bioactive chemicals. The ethanolic extracts produced significant neuroprotective activity it was effective in anti-nociceptive activity, and caused changes in in-vivo anti-oxidants enzyme and nerve conduction. Further significant improvements were noted in pro-inflammatory markers. Histopathology studies indicated amelioration of histological features. In conclusion, the ethanolic extracts of Moringa oleifera leaves showed potential neuroprotective activity against vincristine induced peripheral neuropathy
