Therapeutic Failures in Adult Patients Treated with Artemether Lumefantrine: A Dual-Sector Analytical Study

    Get PDF
Artemether-Lumefantrine medication is becoming less effective in treating simple cases of malaria in many places where the disease is prevalent. Worldwide, plasmodium falciparum and plasmodium vivax parasite tolerance, recrudescence, and resistance are on the rise. Our objective was to assess the rate of Artemether-Lumefantrine (Coartem) treatment failure in persons presenting with uncomplicated malaria at health facilities. From April 1, 2022, to June 30, 2022, 166 patients with positive malaria test results attended health facilities as part of this descriptive cross-sectional research. A total of 9.6% of malaria patients did not show improvement after receiving corticosteroids; 6.0% had plasmodium falciparum, 2.4% plasmodium vivax, and 1.2 had a mixed infection. Among those who did not take the medication with the fatty meal, 31% tested positive for malaria after two weeks of receiving coartem. Additionally, 25% of those who did not follow the treatment schedule had not eradicated the parasite, even though they received coartem. Nearly a third of patients were given Coartem without going through malaria testing, according to the data. In adults in Khartoum state, Sudan, the effectiveness of Artemether-Lumefantrine for treating uncomplicated malaria is declining. To determine how often treatments fail and what variables contribute to drugs having less of an effect, prospective trials are required. Pharmacists should not provide antimalarial medication without a doctor's order and a positive blood test for malaria

Study on the Effect of Herbal Fumigation in Leaf mealybug and Overall Plant Growth

    Get PDF
Empowering eco-friendly agricultural methods is a global necessity for sustainable living. The longterm consequences of excessive dependence on chemical pesticides pose significant, multifaceted risks to both environmental and human health. In light of these drawbacks, there is a growing international push towards integrated pest management and safer alternatives. This study presents an opportunity to explore the potential of herbal fumes in pest control as a viable substitute for chemical pesticides. The findings indicate that herbal fumigation is an effective measure against leaf mealybug infestations and significantly reduces their spread to neighboring plants. Additionally, the associated study on Green gram plant (Vigna radiata) and Tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum) subjected to controlled herbal fumigation demonstrates enhanced growth in smoke-exposed specimens compared to non-exposed plants

The Chicken poultry industry is an important industry for sustainable food supply in our country. The development of an automatic chicken feeding machine can be very useful to the growth of the poultry industry. In existing system, the chickens need a presence of manpower to manually give the food to the chickens. The use of proposed system can replace the worker for feeding the chicken thus overcome the labor problems in the industry and introduce a semi-automatic process in the poultry industry. The Proposed system can be applicable in Poultry Farm and agriculture sector. In poultry farm, it is use to feed the food in container, maintain the temperature using water sprinkler. We have used Temperature, humidity, intruder detection ultrasonic sensor, gas sensor and RTC (Real Time Clock). In this we using IOT module to set time customization for feeding and providing water. This system will control temperature, humidity, Camera based Intruder detection without any human interface. Based on the threshold values it will switch on the devices. Thus, this system design provides automated poultry, reduces man power and increases production of healthy chicken. Every sensor parameter data will display on LCD and IOT database

“Analysing the Energetics of Phase Separation in Non-Ionic Surfactant Brij-30: Investigating the Influence of Head Group Gathering”.

    Get PDF
The main motto of this paper was to study how the hydrophilic surfactant head groupgathering affects the phase behavior of a 22% alcoholic solution of a non-ionic surfactant,Polyoxyethylene (4) lauryl ether (Brij-30) and hydroxyl amine mixtures at different concentrations. Our conclusions show that the hydrophilic part of the surfactant suppresses the system'spropensity to undergo phase separation, an increased sensitivity due to the presence of hydroxylamines. The CP decreases with an increasing concentration of mono, di, and Triethanolamine in a22% alcoholic solution of Brij 30 surfactant. CP increases with concentration in methylethanolamine while decreases in diethanolamine with concentration the same trend is observed inthe case of methyl diethanolamine and triethanolamine. Generally, ethanolic groups exhibit anincrease in Cloud Point (CP) with increased alkyl branching. The amines in ethanolamine showvariation in CP by integrating into the head region with proton-rich amine groups at the micelleinterface. By utilizing the traditional thermodynamic model for phase separation, we assessed thevarious corresponding energy parameters.Amongst all instances, we found that all the parameters fluctuated based on non-ionicsurfactant type, its micellar concentration, and the involvement of hydroxyl amine in the aqueousmedium. All the experimental findings are consistent because phase separation occurs due todecreased hydration of the surfactant head group induced by elevated temperature

This paper gives a comprehensive review of the numerous technologies of vibration recordingwhich are used for suspension systems tuning of vehicles for ride quality, comfort, and stability.Since road conditions, vehicle dynamics, and load conditions have a direct influence onsuspension performance, correct measurement and analysis of vibrations are very crucial foroptimum settings of suspension. This includes many methods for recording vibratory motion, including accelerometer-based systems, laser vibrometer, strain gauges, gyroscopic sensors, inertial measurement units (IMUs), displacement sensors, and acoustic sensors. Everytechnique is studied in terms of its working principles, advantages, limitations, and practicaluse applications in suspension adjustmen

Ethical Challenges and Bias in AI Decision-Making Systems

    Get PDF
The focus of this paper is an examination of the ethical dilemmas and biases present in decision-makingsystems within the field of AI focusing on their implications for fairness, transparency, and accountability. Justas AI becomes imbued into various sectors such as health, finance, policing, or hiring, the concern for thepotential bias in outcomes and discrimination has gained much more traction. The historical data that underliethe training of the AI systems are essentially reflective of the social biases that exist in society now. These misusesmake a cycle out of the discrimination and augmenting it. Mostly, we must understand how biases pallor explicitor itself impute in AI algorithms and consequences to the communities suffering the most, that is, race, gender, and socio-economic status. The paper also enquires into the ethical dilemmas resulting from the applicationpossibility of inflicting non-intentional harm. It highlights additional issues surrounding AI transparencybecause many of them are "black boxes" regarding which understanding how the decisions were made isdifficult. Some recommendations for potential solutions are also provided, which include the need for moreregulation, creating more diverse data sets, implementing greater transparency in algorithms, and bringing ininterdisciplinary teams during the AI development process to curb bias and improve fairness. Addressing theseethical challenges will secure the successful application of AI systems for society in a fair way in a way that doesnot encourage harmful bias or discrimination
