A Influência da Liderança do Diretor na Deliberação Democrática: O conselho pedagógico como espaço de governação escolar
Get PDF Este estudo analisa a influência da liderança do Diretor nos processos deliberativos do órgão do Conselho Pedagógico (CP), a partir de uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa, de natureza interpretativa, centrada num estudo de caso único. Para a recolha de dados, recorreu-se a entrevistas semiestruturadas, notas descritivas resultantes da observação aos entrevistados e análise documental. O tratamento dos dados foi realizado com base na análise de conteúdo, articulando categorias definidas a priori com subcategorias emergentes, construídas de forma indutiva. Os resultados indicam que a liderança do Diretor se caracteriza por práticas democráticas, transformacionais e distribuídas, com forte componente ética. Destacam-se a escuta ativa, a valorização dos docentes, a construção de consensos e a promoção de uma cultura participativa, capaz de sustentar a corresponsabilização e a deliberação crítica no CP
Projetos coparticipados em Educação de Infância: A autonomia e a liberdade através da metodologia de trabalho de projeto
Get PDFVisando compreender a forma como é percecionada a metodologia de trabalho de projeto (MTP) na educação de infância e o seu impacto na autonomia e liberdade das crianças, descrevem-se e analisam-se oito projetos vividos em contextos de prática pedagógica do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria. A análise documental efetuada aos relatórios de prática de ensino supervisionada, onde se apresentam os projetos, aponta para a pertinência da MTP como espaço para a (re)construção de uma visão de criança ativa, curiosa, com iniciativa e vontade própria, capaz de tomar decisões e de participar nos seus processos de aprendizagem e de vida, construindo conhecimento de forma autónoma, holística e integrada. 
Educação como aporia: desafios ao GPS docente na era das prescrições digitais
Get PDFEste artigo problematiza os efeitos das prescrições curriculares digitais na docência contemporânea, com foco no conceito de “GPS docente”, desenvolvido a partir de uma pesquisa doutoral no campo das políticas de currículo. O termo remete à tentativa de guiar a prática pedagógica por rotas normatizadas, utilizando tecnologias digitais e orientações centralizadas como instrumentos de controle. A partir de uma perspectiva pós-estruturalista, com base em autores como Jacques Derrida, Stephen Ball, Elizabeth Macedo e Alice Lopes, defende-se a educação como aporia: imprevisível, ética e relacional. A análise de plataformas e programas como a BNCC, o Programa Educação Conectada e o CIEB revela uma política de silenciamento da autonomia docente. Get PDFIn Place: Visual Narratives of Immobility and Isolation gathers four student projects that revisit private and archival photographs to reflect on memory, identity, and spatial belonging. Developed during the pandemic, Francisco Oliveira’s Casa das Águas traces the Cáster River’s springs, blending personal exploration with local history. Guided by oral testimony, his photographic sequence culminates at the Casa das Águas, a site once central to Santa Maria da Feira’s water distribution. Jessica Teixeira’s Retratos da Memória confronts family history through portraits of her mother, reinterpreted in light of dementia. By symbolically destroying and reworking these photographs, she translates the fragility of memory and the erosion of self-recognition into visual form. Jorge Marques’ Camuflagem begins with a found rural photograph and evolves into digitally manipulated landscapes that resist geographical or temporal fixing, questioning the stability of territory and belonging. Finally, Mariana Vilanova’s project turns her lens toward Porto’s ilhas, modest workers’ housing now threatened by gentrification. Her distant, anonymous images of daily life in these spaces highlight both continuity and loss, exposing the pressures of tourism and real estate on the city’s social fabric. Together, these works explore photography’s role in reactivating memory, transforming place, and narrating conditions of isolation and displacement

AN ETHICS OF SEEING: Utopian Readings of Gerda Taro’s PhotoScapes
Get PDFThis paper explores the intersections of photography, ethics, and utopian thought through a critical reading of Gerda Taro’s photographic work during the Spanish Civil War. It positions Taro’s images as complex photoscapes—visual fields where political struggle, human suffering, and aspirations for a transformed future coexist. The study begins with a historical framing of Taro’s life, her collaboration with Robert Capa, and the socio-political urgency of documenting war in the 1930s. This contextualisation grounds the discussion in both the material realities of conflict and the symbolic power of photography to shape collective memory.
Drawing on philosophical and critical theory, the paper situates photography within traditions of utopian thinking and ethical vision. It considers how images can act as ethical interventions—calling viewers to respond to injustice—while acknowledging the tensions between representation, truth, and political action. This theoretical framework enables a dual reading of Taro’s work as both hopeful and cautionary, revealing the ambivalent nature of visual testimony in times of crisis.
Two case study analyses follow. The first examines hopeful photoscapes, where Taro’s compositions convey solidarity, resilience, and the possibility of a different future. Here, the imagery transcends documentation to propose alternative social imaginaries, foregrounding the agency of those photographed. The second considers dystopian photoscapes, where the devastation and loss captured by Taro confront the viewer with the fragility of such hopes. These images resist romanticisation, instead demanding an ethical reckoning with violence, displacement, and the erosion of ideals.
In conclusion, the paper reflects on the political legacy of Taro’s work, not only as a historical record but as an enduring prompt for ethical and imaginative engagement. Her photographs are read as sites where past struggles resonate with contemporary urgencies, challenging viewers to envision just futures while confronting the realities that threaten them. By holding utopian and dystopian readings in productive tension, this study proposes an “ethics of seeing” that remains open-ended—recognising that the meanings of such images continue to shift with time, context, and the interpretive work of their audiences.

Get PDFunfinished is an artistic project, a site-specific video walk created for the newly built district of Manegg in Zurich, Switzerland. Co-produced with Gessnerallee Zurich, the work premiered in May and June 2024, with further presentations anticipated in 2025. The project centres on a single-shot, steadycam video that traces a continuous walking route through the evolving urban landscape. Audience members receive the video on tablets and, equipped with headphones, follow the filmed path on location, synchronised in movement, position, and perspective with the onscreen walker. The site—Manegg—is a recently developed district on the grounds of a former paper factory, now demolished and replaced by mixed-use residential and commercial buildings. Marketed as “Greencity”, this territory presents a still-emerging, ecologically branded urban environment, shaped by corporate narratives of sustainability. The film draws on in-depth research and interviews with residents and planners, offering commentary on the space’s material, aesthetic, and socio-ecological textures. Through voiceover and image, it constructs a reflective and at times spectral narrative, layering memory, presence, and potential futures. By integrating archival imagery and animation, the film envisions past industrial functions alongside speculative projections of urban transformation. The soundscape heightens the immersive experience, inviting a critical reading of the processes of urban development. unfinished positions Zurich-Manegg as a case study of peripheral expansion in European cities, revealing how contemporary architecture often generates generic environments driven by corporate logics. ANCIENT ROME WITHOUT TUTELA MULIERUM:: A LEGAL HISTORY THAT NEVER WAS

ABSTRACT: This study analyzes the tutela mulierum in Roman law as a mechanism of legal subordination of women under the guise of protection. Using a methodology based on the analysis of legal, literary, and historical sources, and framed within a gender and counterfactual historical perspective, the work examines the impact of this institution on the legal exclusion of women. The hypothesis of a Rome without tutela is proposed, exploring how such an absence could have transformed women’s roles in economics, politics, and culture, and altered the legacy of Western legal tradition. Results show that tutela mulierum consolidated a patriarchal order, limiting female citizenship even in its most advanced forms. This study opens new research lines on the persistence of patriarchal structures in modern legal systems and advocates for a gender-based critical reassessment of law to envision more equitable legal models

O Juízo de Ponderação entre Direitos Constitucionalmente Protegidos: Análise da Sentença de 31 de maio de 2022 do Tribunal Administrativo e Fiscal do Porto
Get PDFA sentença proferida, em primeira instância, pelo Tribunal Administrativo e Fiscal (doravante TAF) do Porto, aqui em análise, refere-se a um processo urgente de intimação para prestação de informações, consulta de processos e passagem de certidões (artigo 104.º e seguintes do Código de Processo nos Tribunais Administrativos, CPTA).
A Requerente, advogada, solicitou o acesso à Universidade do Porto a um Procedimento de Reconhecimento Específico ao Grau de Mestre, que se encontrava concluído, não estando para tal munida de autorização escrita do titular dos dados, nem tendo demonstrado fundamentadamente ser titular de um interesse direto, pessoal, legítimo e constitucionalmente protegido suficientemente relevante que justifique o acesso à informação.
Com efeito, a pretensão da Requerente baseava-se num direito específico que decorre do n.º 1 do art.º 79.º dos Estatutos da Ordem dos Advogados (EOA).
Este normativo legal “reconhece assim aos Advogados o direito de solicitar informação, examinar processos e pedir fotocópias ou certidões, sem necessidade de juntar ou sequer exibir procuração, desde que tais documentos não sejam classificados, reservados ou secretos. Direito este que se justifica e impõe em função da verdadeira “missão de interesse público” de que o Advogado está investido.”[2]
Os advogados exercem, efetivamente, funções de interesse público que estão constitucionalmente protegidas e reconhecidas (artigo 208.º da Constituição da República Portuguesa (CRP), artigo 3.º e n.º 1 do artigo 90.º do EOA), e, nessa medida, deverão ter acesso a documentos administrativos sem necessidade de exibir procuração.
Todavia, este direito previsto no n.º 1 do artigo 79.º dos EOA não se sobrepõe às restrições legais ao direito de acesso aos documentos administrativos, nomeadamente aos documentos nominativos, que decorrem do artigo 6.º da Lei de Acesso aos Documentos Administrativos (LADA).
Efetivamente, tratando-se de um procedimento que contém documentos nominativos, e não sendo possível a comunicação parcial dos mesmos, expurgados que estejam da informação relativa à matéria reservada, a Universidade do Porto solicitou à Requerente que fizesse um pedido fundamentado, demonstrando ser “titular de um interesse direto, pessoal, legítimo e constitucionalmente protegido suficientemente relevante, após ponderação, no quadro do princípio da proporcionalidade, de todos os direitos fundamentais em presença e do princípio da administração aberta, que justifique o acesso à informação (alínea b) do n.º 5 do artigo 6.º da LADA). É ainda relevante, para os efeitos do n.º 2 do artigo 8.º da LADA, que seja indicado a que fim se destinam os documentos administrativos facultados” ou, em alternativa, juntar uma Procuração.
Inconformada com esta decisão, a Requerente apresentou a sua reclamação à Comissão de Acesso aos Documentos Administrativos (CADA), nos termos do n.º 1 do artigo 16.º da LADA, que deu origem ao Processo n.º 6/2022.
Nesse seguimento, em 20 de abril de 2022, veio a CADA a emitir o seu Parecer declarando que “não se verifica incumprimento do direito de acesso” por parte da Requerida.
Enquanto decorria o prazo de 40 (quarenta) dias úteis para a CADA se pronunciar, a Requerente intentou uma impugnação para prestação de informações, consulta de processos ou passagem de certidões contra a Universidade do Porto.
A 31 de maio de 2022 foi proferida sentença pelo TAF do Porto.
É sobre o teor desta sentença que nos iremos debruçar. Antes, porém, iremos abordar os princípios basilares que a sustentam
