Celebrity Endorsement and Purchase Intention: Mediating Role of E-Wom

This academic work investigates the relationships between celebrity endorsement, electronic word-of-mouth, and purchase intention using the Elaboration Likelihood Model paradigm. Utilizing structural equation modelling with AMOS on a dataset of 328 respondents from Biratnagar, Nepal, the results indicate that celebrity endorsement negatively affects purchase intention, implying that poorly aligned endorsements may discourage purchase intentions. However, celebrity endorsement positively influences EWoM, underscoring its potential to spark consumer discussions and engagement online. EWoM substantially increases purchase intention, emphasising its vital influence on consumer decision-making. The mediating influence of electronic word-of-mouth in the relationship between celebrity endorsement and purchase intention illustrates how outside information from celebrity endorsements can evolve into the primary mode of processing via online interactions. The study contributes to the Elaboration Likelihood Model by integrating celebrity endorsement and EWoM into a cohesive model, emphasizing EWoM’s dual role as both an outcome of peripheral processing and a driver of cognitive engagement. Practical implications for marketers include aligning celebrity endorsements with brand identity and leveraging digital platforms to maximize EWoM’s impact. Limitations include the cross-sectional design and cultural specificity of the sample. Future studies should investigate different settings, longitudinal designs, dand the function of new technology in consumer behaviour

The method used is descriptive qualitative through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that this tradition is starting to be abandoneSd because it is considered complicated and requires large costs. Using Anthony F.C. Wallace’s theory, revitalization is seen through six stages: changes in people’s perspectives (mazeway reformulation), conveying traditional values through communication, cooperation in its implementation (organization), adjustment to social conditions (adaptation), changes in the meaning and function of tradition (cultural transformation), and efforts to maintain the tradition as a community habit (routine). Overall, the Pantauan Mangkal Luagh tradition is maintained even though it has undergone adjustments to remain relevant and able to maintain the cultural values of the Pasemah community

Effective governance of public schools hinges on transparency and accountability to ensure proper management of educational resources. The School Operational Grant (BOS Fund) is a critical financial mechanism supporting school operations in Indonesia. This study explores how transparency and accountability influence BOS Fund utilization in vocational schools, introducing school financial reporting as a mediating variable to assess governance effectiveness. Employing a quantitative causal design, data were collected from 200 vocational schools through questionnaires distributed to principals and BOS fund treasurers. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares- Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine causal relationships. Results reveal that transparency and accountability significantly enhance BOS Fund utilization, with school financial reporting playing a key mediating role. Schools with well-structured financial documentation are more likely to comply with regulations and avoid fund mismanagement. The findings underscore the need for improving financial literacy among school administrators, enforcing compliance mechanisms, and encouraging public oversight. This study’s primary contribution lies in positioning financial reporting as a mediating factor between governance principles and fund utilization, offering a robust governance model tailored to vocational schools. Unlike prior research, this study specifically addresses the underexplored domain of vocational school funding in Indonesia, contributing novel insights to education finance literature
