Persuasive Communication Strategy in Facebook Buy and Sell Groups: A Case Study of Sari Octavia Qi’s Mobile Phone Promotion in the Sungai Are Sindang Danau Pulau Beringin Forum
This research explores the persuasive communication strategy employed by Facebook user Sari Octavia Qi in promoting mobile phones through the Facebook group “Jual Beli Sungai Are Sindang Danau Pulau Beringin”. The study aims to analyze how persuasive techniques influence consumer behavior, using the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) as a theoretical framework. ELM explains two primary routes of persuasion: the central route, which relies on logical reasoning and detailed information, and the peripheral route, which depends on external cues such as visuals, testimonials, and emotional appeal. This qualitative descriptive study uses observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to gather data. Results indicate that Sari Octavia effectively combines both routes. She utilizes the central route by clearly explaining product specifications such as RAM, battery capacity, and purchase terms, and by providing transparency about the product source and testing process. Meanwhile, the peripheral route is applied through visual cues like real customer testimonials, product photos, friendly emojis, and informal language that resonates with buyers in her local community. These strategies build trust and credibility, which significantly affect purchase decisions. The study concludes that dual-route persuasive communication can enhance online sales success in Facebook buy-and-sell forums, especially for small-scale sellers in rural area
Investment Management Based on Family Group Savings
This research aims to develop an investment management model based on family group savings to enhance financial literacy and family economic independence. Low financial literacy, particularly among low-income communities, hinders their ability to plan and manage finances effectively. Family group savings, as part of an existing social culture, holds great potential to serve as a productive investment management tool. This study employs a qualitative approach with an action research design, where the researcher is directly involved in the process of financial literacy education and the application of socially-driven investment management within family group savings. In this context, the role of the social entrepreneur is crucial, as individuals with a social entrepreneurial spirit can drive change in family savings management by exemplifying wise financial practices and encouraging family members to invest in an organized manner. The results of the study show that with proper financial literacy education and support from a social entrepreneur, family group savings can be managed more effectively, applying healthy cash flow principles as outlined by Kiyosaki. This family-based investment management model opens up sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities, not only enhancing financial literacy but also strengthening long-term family economic well-being

Principles for Shaping and Developing Ecological Values in Youth
This study aims to examine how household waste management practices affect family health. Using a literature review approach, this research analyzes a wide range of recent academic sources and empirical studies related to domestic waste practices and their implications for public health. The results reveal that in many regions, household waste management remains inadequate. Common issues include improper disposal methods, lack of waste segregation, and non-compliance with standard waste treatment procedures. These practices pose significant health risks to families, including the spread of infectious diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, and cholera; respiratory disorders due to air pollution from waste burning; and hormonal disruption or cancer from prolonged exposure to hazardous chemicals found in plastics. Accumulated waste also creates breeding grounds for disease vectors like mosquitoes and rodents and leads to soil and water pollution, degrading the overall living environment. This study highlights the urgent need for stronger education initiatives, regulatory enforcement, and the consistent application of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to mitigate the adverse health effects of poor household waste management
