    Improving Students’ Mathematical Reasoning Ability and Self-Regulated Learning through Geogebra-Assisted Problem-Based Learning Model on Junior High School

    Reasoning is a skill that students must possess to improve their ability in solving mathematics problems related to everyday life. Meanwhile, self regulated learning skills is aims to increase their sense of responsibility for their own learning. This research aims to improve both of these abilities through the geogebra assisted the problem-based learning, so the students can be better understand about concepts that taught by the teacher, take responsibility, and build their self regulated learning. The researcher used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach involving both experiment and control groups, that each consisting of 25 student in eighth-grade from SMP EL Fitra Bandung. The first step that reseacher take is given a pretest to both of class, after that continue to give experiment class with geogebra assisted the problem based learning method and control class with a conventional method. The research instruments used were a mathematical reasoning essay test about system linear equation in two variabels (SPLDV) and a self regulated scale. The integration of geogebra software is in line with current technological advancements and make the student more interesting when learning many subject at school specially in mathematic program. The results showed that students who received geogebra assisted problem-based learning method performed better in reasoning ability compared to those who received conventional method. However, there was no significant difference in self regulated learning between the two groups, indicating that both the experimental and control groups experienced an increase in self regulated learning

    Analysis of Students’ Mathematical Reasoning Ability Based on Self-Regulated Learning: A Case Study on Algebraic Expressions

    The role of mathematics is not only to emphasize mastery of formulas and calculations, but also to develop students’ mathematical reasoning skills, enabling them to think logically, systematically, and critically in problem-solving. This study aimed to analyze students’ mathematical reasoning skills in terms of self-regulated learning on the topic of algebraic expressions for class VII-B students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa. This research employed a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 27 students from class VII-B, selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments included a mathematical reasoning skills test and a self-regulated learning questionnaire, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed descriptively through the calculation of mean scores, percentages, and the categorization of students’ mathematical reasoning skills and levels of self-regulated learning. The results showed that: 1) students with high self-regulated learning had high mathematical reasoning skills, with an average score of 70.50; 2) students with moderate self-regulated learning had moderate mathematical reasoning skills, with an average score of 43.67; and 3) students with low self-regulated learning had low mathematical reasoning skills, with an average score of 22.50. Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the students’ level of self-regulated learning, the better their mathematical reasoning skills

    The Effect of ICARE Learning Model on Junior High School Students' Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability

    The mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students is still considered low, as evidenced by the low learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa. To enhance this ability, an innovative learning model is required. One such model is ICARE, which is believed to encourage active student engagement and foster a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to determine the differences between the ICARE learning model and the conventional learning model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa. The research was conducted from May to June during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method employed in this study was an experimental method involving two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Simple random sampling was used to select the samples. The research design utilized was a Post-test Only Control Group Design. The data were collected through a written post-test. The results of the study, based on hypothesis testing using a t-test, showed that the obtained tcount​ = 3.050, while the critical ttable = 2.007 at a significance level of 0.05. Since tcount​> ttable the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students taught using the ICARE learning model is higher than that of students taught using the conventional learning model

    Students’ mathematical reasoning ability (MRA) is an essential component of mathematics learning, particularly for solving non-routine problems. However, many junior high school students still rely on procedural strategies without sufficient conceptual understanding, resulting in weak reasoning skills, especially in geometry topics such as the Pythagorean Theorem, indicating the need for a detailed analysis of students’ mathematical reasoning ability. This study aims to analyze junior high school students’ mathematical reasoning ability on the Pythagorean Theorem based on four indicators: proposing conjectures, performing mathematical transformations, providing logical justification, and drawing conclusions. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving 31 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Raha selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an open-ended mathematical reasoning ability test related to the Pythagorean Theorem and supported by semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results indicate that 6% of students demonstrated high mathematical reasoning ability, 8% were categorized as moderate, and 86% were classified as low. Most students experienced difficulties in formulating conjectures, transforming contextual problems into mathematical models, providing logical justification, and drawing valid conclusions. In conclusion, students’ mathematical reasoning ability on the Pythagorean Theorem remains relatively low. Therefore, instructional strategies that emphasize conceptual understanding, reasoning processes, justification, and reflective thinking are necessary to improve students’ mathematical reasoning abilities

    Penggunaan Model Project Based Learning Dengan Berbantuan Me-dia Mobis Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kerjasama Anak Usia Dini

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kerja sama anak di RA Asy Syakur yang disebabkan dalam pembelajaran lebih memilih metode yang mudah, yang tidak memerlukan persiapan banyak, selain itu keterbatasan media pendukung dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan model Project based learning dengan berbantuan media mobis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama anak usia dini. penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di RA Asy Syakur Kabupaten Bandung dengan subjek 12 anak yang terdiri dari empat anak laki-laki dan delapan anak perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dimana data yang diperoleh akan diolah menggunakan teknik presentase. Teknik penumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan peneliti selama penelitian berlangsung. Hasil penelitian memperoleh data hasil pra siklus anak hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata 31,1 dengan presentase keberhasilan anak 0%, selanjutnya pada data hasil penelitian siklus I dapat diperoleh nilai rat-rata kelas sebesar 54,8 dengan presentase keberhasilan 25%, adapun hasil refleksi pada siklus 1 yaitu masih banyak anak yang memiliki sifat individual, sebagian besar anak memiliki rasa empati yang kurang, belum memahami peraturan permaian. Selanjutnya pada data hasil penelitian siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas 80,5 dengan presentase keberhasilan sebesar 75%. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa penelitian mengenai penggunaan model Project based learning dengan berbantuan media mobis mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama anak usia dini.   This study was motivated by the low level of cooperation among children at RA Asy Syakur. This condition was caused by the use of simple learning methods that require minimal preparation, as well as limited supporting media in the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to determine the use of the Project-Based Learning model assisted by mobile media to improve early childhood cooperation skills. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method involving children aged 4–5 years at RA Asy Syakur, Bandung Regency. The research subjects consisted of 12 children, including four boys and eight girls. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation during the research process. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis with percentage techniques. The results showed that in the pre-cycle stage, children achieved an average score of 31.1, with a success rate of 0%. In Cycle I, the average class score increased to 54.8, with a success rate of 25%. The reflection results in Cycle I indicated that many children still displayed individualistic characteristics, lacked empathy, and had difficulty understanding the rules of the game. In Cycle II, the average class score increased significantly to 80.5, with a success rate of 75%.     The effectiveness of scratch interactive media in mathematics learning: A literature review study

    This research aims to systematically review the specific effectiveness of utilizing Scratch interactive media in enhancing the quality of mathematics learning processes. This improvement in quality is examined through its impact on student learning outcomes and interactive experiences.The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This process was designed to comprehensively identify, critically evaluate, and interpret all available empirical evidence concerning the effectiveness of mathematics learning media that leverage Scratch. The initial search procedure successfully gathered a total of 40 articles from various trusted scientific databases. The studies considered were restricted to publications released within the timeframe of 2020 to 2025. After undergoing a rigorous screening process—applying predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria based on topic relevance and study methodology—it was determined that 21 eligible articles were selected for in-depth analysis. This analysis focused on both the quantitative and qualitative results regarding Scratch's effectiveness. The findings from the systematic review consistently indicate that the use of Scratch provides a significant impact on improving the quality of mathematics learning. Specifically, Scratch successfully transforms the learning process into one that is more interactive and engaging, which, in turn, effectively enhances students' cognitive abilities, including conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. These results affirm Scratch as a valid and effective pedagogical innovation with great potential for wider integration into the mathematics curriculum in the digital age

    Perkebunan kelapa sawit di Dayun, Siak, Riau, memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian lokal, namun masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam hal infrastruktur. Jalan-jalan perkebunan yang kurang memadai, sistem drainase yang tidak optimal, serta pemanfaatan material lokal yang belum maksimal menjadi kendala utama. Keterbatasan pemahaman masyarakat dan pekerja perkebunan mengenai teknik sipil yang tepat dalam membangun dan memelihara infrastruktur perkebunan juga menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi dan keberlanjutan industri kelapa sawit di daerah ini. Program pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi masyarakat, terutama pekerja perkebunan dan pihak terkait, dalam penerapan teknik sipil yang tepat guna untuk pembangunan dan pemeliharaan infrastruktur perkebunan kelapa sawit. Secara khusus, pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai desain konstruksi jalan perkebunan yang tahan terhadap kondisi cuaca dan lingkungan, memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam penggunaan material lokal, seperti limbah kelapa sawit, sebagai bahan konstruksi alternatif yang lebih ekonomis dan ramah lingkungan, mengajarkan Teknik perbaikan dan pemeliharaan infrastruktur Perkebunan, termasuk system drainase untuk mengurangi resiko banjir dan meningkatkan kapasitas Masyarakat dalam merancang Solusi infrastruktur yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutan sesuai dengan prinsip Teknik Sipil.     Self efficacy is a self-belief in one's ability to achieve expected goals. Low self-efficacy in students has an impact on student achievement and their inner abilities. The study aims to determine the effect of group guidance with group exercise techniques in developing students' self-efficacy. Group exercise techniques in group guidance which include writing, drawing, and pasting photos as a medium of self-expression are chosen so that students practice self-skills in a supportive group situation. The purposeful sampling technique was used to select 6 students, with 2 students having high self-efficacy, 2 students having moderate self-efficacy, and 2 students having low self-efficacy .This research uses a pre-experimental method with The One Group Pretest Posttest design. Data were collected through a self-efficacy questionnaire developed based on Bandura's theory with aspects of magnitude, generality, and strength. The intervention was carried out for 3 meetings. The results showed a significant increase in self-efficacy scores after receiving group guidance with group exercise techniques with an average pretest score of 126 and an increase in posttest 170 so that the percentage increased to 35% from before and after treatment. The results of the Wilcoxon test show that there is a significant effect with an asymptotic significance value of 0.027 greater than the 0.05 limit, which indicates Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This indicates that the group exercise technique applied is effective in developing the self-efficacy of junior high school students

    GAMBARAN TINGKAT KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL SISWA DALAM MEWUJUDKAN INKLUSI SOSIAL DAN PERAN GURU BK DI SEKOLAH DASAR

    The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' social skills in the implementation of social inclusion and the role of guidance counselors in public elementary schools. The research method used was quantitative with a survey approach. The research sample consisted of 137 fourth and fifth grade students at Public Elementary School 08 Lubang Buaya in Jakarta. The criteria for students who filled out the questionnaire were that they were peers who had friends with disabilities in their class. Based on the results of the study, the majority of students had moderate social skills, namely 96 students (70.1%), 26 students (19%) had high social skills, and 16 students (10.9%) had low social skills. These findings indicate that students' abilities to interact, empathize, and accept differences have begun to develop, but have not yet developed optimally. Therefore, the role of guidance counselors is needed to strengthen social skills through individual and group counseling programs to foster empathy, cooperation, and acceptance of differences. This will enable students with special needs to integrate with their peers into the social ecology of the school

    TINGKAT MASTERY GOAL ORIENTATION SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI KABUPATEN BEKASI

    This study aims to analyze the relationship between mastery goal orientation and growth mindset among elementary school students. Mastery goal orientation is defined as a learning orientation focused on mastering subject matter, developing competence, and demonstrating academic progress through sustained effort. This research employed a quantitative method using a survey design and descriptive analysis. Respondents were drawn from 313 public and private elementary schools in Bekasi Regency. The research instrument was a mastery goal orientation scale adapted from Slavin (2003), modified into nine characteristics relevant to the developmental stage of elementary school students. Data were analyzed using t-tests and analysis of variance (ANOVA) with SPSS 23. The results indicated no significant differences in mastery goal orientation across gender, age, grade level, or school type. However, overall findings highlight that mastery goal orientation positively contributes to the development of a growth mindset, particularly in terms of strategic approaches to challenges, enthusiasm within the learning environment, and the principle of continuous growth. These results underscore the crucial role of teachers in fostering mastery-oriented learning, perseverance, and positive interpretations of failure
