STRATEGI GURU BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL SISWA DI SMPN 9 PALOPO
The research aims to describe the strategies implemented by Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers to enhance students' interpersonal communication skills at SMPN 9 Palopo. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The main informants in this study consist of two BK teachers, one supporting informant who is a homeroom teacher, and two students with limitations in interpersonal communication. The results indicate that BK teachers apply three main strategies: classical guidance services, individual counseling, and group counseling. Classical services are used to convey material generally to all students; however, their implementation is limited due to the lack of a fixed schedule. Individual and group counseling services have proven to be more effective in assisting students with communication barriers, as they allow for personal and interactive approaches. Evaluation is conducted through digital questionnaires, student reflections, and behavioral observations. The findings show an improvement in students' interpersonal communication skills, such as the courage to speak, active listening abilities, and participation in discussions. The main challenges in implementing these strategies include the closed nature of some students, time constraints, and the lack of structural policies that support scheduled classical services. This research is expected to serve as a reference for BK teachers and school authorities in designing more effective and responsive guidance programs that meet students'needs
