Children’s stories play a strategic role in character building, literacy development, and the enhancement of imagination among elementary school students. However, the quality of children’s stories available in society remains relatively low in terms of language use, storyline, and thematic variation. Elementary school teachers have significant potential to become producers of educational children’s stories, yet many face limitations in writing skills and the use of digital technology. This community service program aimed to assist SD/MI teachers in developing children’s stories using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The program employed the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, consisting of discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny stages. The participants were 10 teachers from SDIT Bilingual Alma Asy-Syauqi Cirebon. Assistance was provided through face-to-face training sessions, online mentoring, and hands-on practice using AI tools for developing story titles, outlines, narratives, and illustrations. The results indicate that the program was successfully implemented in accordance with the ABCD stages and effectively enhanced teachers’ competencies in creating children’s stories. Approximately 70% of participants succeeded in producing complete AI-assisted children’s stories. These findings suggest that integrating AI into teacher mentoring programs is effective in strengthening teachers’ capacity as creators of contextual and educational children’s literature.

How do EFL Students Boost Their Self-Confidence in Speaking?
This study aims to reveal the strategies used by students to build their confidence in speaking English. In this study, the participants of this study were 11 students from the English Education study program at Universitas Muhammadiyah of Makassar. This research employed a qualitative method, where data was obtained through interviews with participants to explore their experiences and strategies in overcoming anxiety. The results showed that the students used various approaches such as independent practice, the use of audio-visual media, simulations, group discussions, and also the use of gestures. Meanwhile, the use of audio-visual media such as learning videos and technology-based applications also has a significant impact on supporting the learning process. This research has made an important contribution by highlighting students' active participation in finding ways to build their confidence independently. The research recommends further exploration of the long-term impact of this strategy on students' speaking ability in various contexts
The Effect of Wordwall on Elementary Students’ Vocabulary Mastery
Although many media have been used to acquire English vocabulary in classroom learning, many students still need to develop their English vocabulary. Therefore, the study was conducted with the aim of finding out whether it has an influence in improving the mastery of English vocabulary by utilizing Wordwall. This research employed quantitative methods with a pre-experimental design and involved 20 grade 5 students from a public elementary school in Central Java, Indonesia as participants. Pre test and post test scores were used to measure students’ English vocabulary acquisition. The data were analysed using SPSS 25 with the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results showed that the average pre test score was 14.5, while the average post-test score increased substantially to 84.25 after the use of Wordwall. The Wilcoxon signed rank test produced an Asymp. Sig value of 0.0 (p < 0.05), on the pre and post test scores there were many statistical changes. This means that the use of Wordwall had a significant positive effect on students’ English vocabulary mastery. Based on these findings, it was concluded that Wordwall could be used as an effective alternative learning media in the classroom
A Study on Difficulties in Speaking Encountered by Students of Vocational High School (SMK) Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru
This study investigates the difficulties in speaking English experienced by second-year students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Recognizing that speaking is a vital skill for real-life communication, the research addresses common issues students face, such as limited vocabulary, grammatical errors, pronunciation difficulties, anxiety, and lack of speaking opportunities. Using a mixed-method approach, the study combines quantitative data from questionnaires and qualitative insights from interviews to identify key factors contributing to students’ difficulties. The analysis focuses on five main indicators: linguistic obstacles, speech processing difficulties, academic and conversational English skills, negative psychological effects, and limited access to speaking practice. The results reveal that students often struggle with using correct grammar, selecting appropriate vocabulary, and producing accurate pronunciation. Additionally, mother tongue interference, low fluency, classroom passivity, and anxiety further hinder their speaking performance. The findings also indicate that current teaching strategies and classroom environments do not provide enough chances for students to practice speaking. Nevertheless, students remain motivated to improve. The study highlights the need for more effective teaching methods, integrated speaking activities, and supportive classroom conditions to help students enhance their communicative competence in English
