EFEKTIVITAS LAYANAN KONSELING KELOMPOK MEDIA YOUTUBE VIDEO DENGAN TEKNIK MINDFULNESS THERAPY UNTUK MENGURANGI OVERTHINKING SISWA KELAS X SMA TUNAS KELAPA SAMARINDA
This study addresses the rising prevalence of overthinking among adolescents, which has been linked to decreased academic performance, emotional disturbances, and unhealthy social relationships. A quantitative approach was used with a true experimental design involving pre-test and post-test control groups. The participants consisted of six students selected through purposive sampling and divided into two groups: the experimental group received group counseling incorporating mindfulness therapy, while the control group received no intervention. The results revealed a significant reduction in overthinking levels in the experimental group, with the average pre-test score decreasing from 93 to 57.6 in the post-test. In contrast, the control group showed an insignificant change, from 92.3 to 90.6. The t-test analysis showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Furthermore, the N-Gain Score for the experimental group was 37.99%, categorized as moderate, whereas the control group scored only 1.78%, categorized as low or ineffective. ANALISIS SELF-REGULATED LEARNING SISWA DITINJAU DARI PERBEDAAN JENIS KELAMIN
The research is based on the importance of self-regulated learning (SRL) in supporting students' academic success, as they can set goals and evaluate their own learning process. However, in reality, a number of studies show that many students still have low SRL abilities. Furthermore, there are also indications of differences in SRL between males and females that need to be studied further, namely several findings that show significant differences, while other studies do not. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify differences in SRL based on gender at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative method, involving 298 students as respondents, including 130 males and 168 females. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The findings of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between male and female students in terms of SRL, with female students scoring higher than male students (mean difference = -14.369). This shows that female students are better able to manage their own learning processes and are more responsible for their learning outcomes. These findings have important implications for guidance and counseling services in schools, especially in designing intervention strategies that are more suited to students' needs
PROFIL FLEKSIBILITAS PSIKOLOGIS SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 1 PAJAR BULAN
This study aims to describe the psychological flexibility profile of students at SMA Negeri 1 Pajar Bulan and examine gender differences. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach to objectively describe the students' psychological flexibility. The results showed that, in general, students' psychological flexibility was in the moderate category. This finding indicates that most students have demonstrated adequate adaptability in facing academic and social demands, but still require strengthening in aspects of emotional management, self-acceptance, and consistent action based on values. In terms of gender differences, female students tend to have higher psychological flexibility than male students. These results emphasize the importance of developing guidance and counseling services in schools that focus on increasing students' psychological flexibility to support their psychological resilience and mental well-being
The Use of The Poem Desiderata by Max Ehrmann in Teaching Writing to The First-Year Students in Higher Education
This study analyzes the teaching implementation of the poem Desiderata by Max Ehrmann for writing classes with first year university students. Specifically, this study aims to find out how pedagogy with literary works, particularly poems, can contribute in shaping and improving writing skills among students in higher learning institutions.The study was conducted qualitatively at a private university in Bandung, West Java with a sample of 30 students from the English education department. The students had been taught about the poem Desiderata, after which they participated in reflection and expressive writing activities related to its themes. Results showed that incorporating poetry enhanced creativity and self-expression while also fostering emotional engagement. Students improved their ability to produce coherent reflective texts rich in language and expression while drawing on literature for moral contemplation stimulated personal development within the context of writing. This paper highlights constructive approaches such as instruction based on developmental suitability, supporting freely chosen literary frameworks enhances tertiary level writing programs through flexible guided methods fosters effective skill mastery
Positive Politeness Dominates: Examining The Politeness Strategies in an Indonesian EFL Textbook
Understanding politeness strategy helps speakers understand which expressions are appropriate to use depending on the situation. This study aims to provide an overview of politeness strategies found in the EFL textbook Bahasa Inggris: Think Globally, Act Locally in the selected chapter.This study employs qualitative content analysis and the data were taken from the dialogues contained in the first chapter that has the theme of congratulating others. A total of 13 dialogues which comprise 35 data of politeness-related expressions were analyzed. The data were examined using Brown and Levinson’s (1987) politeness theory. The results revealed 29 data of positive politeness and six data of bald on record strategies. Negative politeness and off-record strategies were not identified in the dialogues of the first chapter of the textbook. The results of this study suggest that positive politeness and bald on record strategies are predominantly used in situations where speakers share familiarity or closeness, particularly when expressing congratulations.
Developing Dictionary for Nursing Students of STIKES Bhakti Husada Cikarang
The purpose of this study is designing and developing medical dictionary for nursing students of Diploma and Undergraduate Program in STIKes Bhakti Husada Cikarang. Referring to five stages of ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, this research carried out Research and Development from Branch (2009). Data was collected using questionnaires and observation. The dictionary was developed based on framework by Jackson (2002), which considers two main structures, namely macro structure (front matter, body, and appendices) and micro structure (arrangement and type of information). There are two experts validating in design and content. Following successful implementation stage that received significantly positive feedback from users, the medical dictionary is sucessfully developed
Translanguaging Through the Eyes of Linguistics Master’s Students
This study explores the academic influences, challenges, and coping strategies of Linguistics Master’s students at Universitas Brawijaya in relation to translanguaging practices in the classroom. The participants were five first-semester students with non-English undergraduate backgrounds. Using a qualitative method through interviews, the research investigates how translanguaging affects their academic experiences. The findings show that translanguaging helps students adapt more easily in classroom settings where multiple languages are used, and increases their engagement in the learning process. Furthermore, it serves as a tool to bridge gaps in understanding and supports vocabulary development. However, it also presents challenges, including difficulties in expressing academic ideas clearly in English on their first language, which may hinder English language development. Despite these issues, students developed strategies to manage their language use and improve academic performance. This study concludes that translanguaging serves as both a support system and a barrier in academic settings, highlighting the importance of effective language practices in multilingual classrooms. For the future research can explore the long-term impact of translanguaging on academic performance and identity formation among multilingual learners across different educational levels
Exploring Factors of Students’ Speaking Anxiety during Dialog Practice At SMPN 3 Masbagik in the Academic Year of 2025-2026
This study aims to explore the factors contributing to students’ speaking anxiety during English dialog practice in the eighth grade of SMPN 3 Masbagik in the academic year 2025-2026. A descriptive qualitative design was employed, using observation, interviews, and questionnaires as the main instruments of data collection. The findings revealed that students experienced two types of anxiety: state anxiety and trait anxiety. State anxiety appeared in specific classroom situations, particularly when students were asked to perform dialog practice, with symptoms such as trembling hands, shaky voices, forgetting lines, and excessive sweating. Meanwhile, trait anxiety was more consistent and related to limited vocabulary, grammatical inaccuracy, and lack of confidence. The main factors that triggered speaking anxiety included limited vocabulary, fear of making mistakes, pronunciation difficulties, and fear of negative evaluation. To cope with these challenges, students applied several strategies such as repeated practice, relaxation techniques, positive self-talk, preparing vocabulary/grammar, and seeking peer support. The study concludes that students’ speaking anxiety is a multidimensional issue influenced by both linguistic and psychological factors, requiring efforts from both teachers and students to foster a more supportive learning environment
DAMPAK PELATIHAN PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH KOTORAN DOMBA DALAM KEBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DESA SUCO KABUPATEN JEMBER
Desa Suco saat ini memiliki banyak kandang domba yang dimiliki oleh perorangan. Namun, darijumlah kandang yang ada, hanya sebagian kecil kandang yang memiliki pemilik yang dapat mengolahkotoran domba menjadi pupuk organik dan kemudian dijual ke luar desa jika ada pesanan. Namun,jika tidak ada pesanan, kotoran domba akan dibuang di belakang kandang. Hal ini menunjukkanbahwa pemahaman masyarakat masih kurang dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekitar. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihanpengolahan kotoran domba memberikan dampak bagi masyarakat seperti peningkatan pengetahuan,keterampilan dan perubahan sikap dan dampak pelatihan terhadap keberdayaan masyarakat meliputikesadaran dan keinginan untuk berubah, kemampuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas untukmendapatkan akses, kemampuan untuk menghadapi hambatan dan kemampuan untuk bekerja samadan kesetiakawanan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat telah mengalamiperubahan cara pandang terhadap kotoran domba, dari yang awalnya merupakan sesuatu yang biasasaja menjadi suatu sumber daya yang memiliki nilai ekonomi dan memberikan manfaat nyata bagimasyarakat.
PERENCANAAN EVALUASI KOLABORATIF DALAM RANGKA MEWUJUDKAN PROGRAM PEMBANGUNAN DAN PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT YANG BERMUTU
Kemajuan sebuah negara dapat diamati dari sebuah nilai tinggi rendahnya angka Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) di negara tersebut. Tingginya angka IPM suatu negara dapat diartikan bahwa negara tersebut termasuk ke dalam negara maju begitupun sebaliknya, apabila angka IPM suatu negara rendah, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa negara tersebut belum termasuk kategori negara maju. IPM dapat ditingkatkan dengan dibuatnya suatu program pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Program pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat akan berhasil apabila memiliki perencanaan yang cukup matang terutama dalam hal perencanaan evaluasi. Mengingat program pemberdayaan dan pembangunan masyarakat merupakan program yang membutuhkan banyak bantuan dari semua pihak maka perlu adanya kolaborasi. Kolaborasi tersebut dapat terjadi dari mulai proses perencanaan sampai tahapan evaluasi program. Dalam tahapan perencanaan evaluasi, kolaborasi dilakukan dengan berbagai stakeholder sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas dari program pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang digagas
