Transforming Education Through Project-Based Learning (PjBL): Enhancing Students' Learning Outcomes and Critical Thinking
This study explores the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on teaching social studies to primary school students, specifically focusing on its influence on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. The research used a mixed-methods approach and employed proportional stratified sampling to select participants from five accredited public primary schools in Banyumas, Central Java. Quantitative data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' performance before and after implementing PjBL. Additionally, qualitative insights were obtained from semi-structured interviews with teachers to understand their experiences and perceptions of PjBL. The findings demonstrate a statistically significant positive correlation between PjBL implementation and improving students' critical thinking skills and academic performance in social studies. Furthermore, teachers reported increased student engagement and a more profound understanding of social studies concepts. This research contributes to the existing knowledge of PjBL by providing empirical evidence of its effectiveness in primary education, particularly within social studies instruction. The findings offer practical strategies for educators who aim to use PjBL to enhance critical thinking and academic achievement among young learners
Meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education
This study seeks to examine the enhancement of students’ mathematical reasoning skills through the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education approach. The research method used is a Quasi-Experimentas design, specifically utilizing as Prretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Groups Design . The subjects in this study consists of eighth-grade students of SMP PGRI Cibeureum, involving a total 56 students partitioned into two groups: an experimental class and a control class. The research instruments used include a test consisting of 5 questions. The test data obtained will be analyzed using statistical techniques with assistance SPSS by examining the Posttest result. According to the data analysis and accompanying discussion, it was found that there wa an improvement in students’ mathematical reasoning skills when learning through the Realistic Mathematics Education approach, with the level of improvement categorized as moderate
Permainan matematika kognitif menggunakan integrasi pygame dan pygzero di SMA Negeri Rongga Bandung Barat
Cognitive mathematics games are an innovative tool to enhance student engagement by visualizing abstract mathematical concepts, which are often perceived as difficult, into something easier and more enjoyable. The goal is to help students realize that mathematics is not something to be feared, but rather a challenge that they can solve on their own. By using cognitive mathematics games, the interaction between teachers and students in the classroom becomes more conducive and enjoyable. This media is designed using Pygame and PygZero, which are game development applications in Python programming, making it easier for anyone — including educators, teachers, and lecturers — to create the media. The media was introduced to students of SMA Negeri Rongga in West Bandung as a trial in the development of cognitive mathematics games, where it served as a motivational tool to stimulate students’ logical thinking processes in solving problems through gameplay. Examples of the games introduced to students include the Tower of Hanoi and Frog Jump, both of which are linked to mathematical concepts as the final solution. Mendorong perubahan paradigma mengajar: edukasi deep learning dan transformative learning bagi guru SAM Al-Mukhtariyah Rajamandala
Pendidikan di era globalisasi dan disrupsi teknologi menuntut perubahan paradigma pembelajaran dari pendekatan yang berpusat pada guru menjadi berpusat pada siswa guna mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 siswa. Namun observasi di SMA AL-Mukhtariyah Rajamandala menunjukkan bahwa praktik masih didominasi metode konvensional seperti ceramah dan pengugasan satu arah, yang kurang mendorong pemahaman mendalam dan berpikir kritis. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, tim peneliti Pascasajana bahasa Inggris dan Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dari IKIP Siliwangi menyelenggarakan workshop bertajuk "Penguatan Literasi Digital melalui Deep Learning dan Transformative Learning" untuk 33 guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-edukatif dengan presentasi, diskusi kelompok, dan demonstrasi tools berbasis AI. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan 100% peserta menyetujui materi relevan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran modern, dengan 75% menyatakan kepuasan tinggi. Namun pemahaman tentang Pembelajaran Transformatif (31,3% sangat setuju) dan integrasi ide teknologi (43,8% sangat setuju) memerlukan pendalaman lebih lanjut. Rekomendasi meliputi perpanjangan durasi lokakarya, penambahan sesi praktik, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan pentingnya kolaborasi perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dalam mendorong inovasi pembelajaran berbasis deep learning dan pembelajaran transformatif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru
Pelatihan implementasi pembuatan kuesioner digital berbasis jotform bagi mahasiswa-anak kos
Pelatihan pembuatan kuesioner digital berbasis JotForm bagi mahasiswa anak kos dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi digital dan keterampilan teknis dalam pembuatan instrumen penelitian di kalangan mahasiswa dengan keterbatasan akses teknologi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa anak kos dalam membuat, mendesain, dan mendistribusikan kuesioner digital secara mandiri untuk mendukung kegiatan akademik dan penelitian. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dengan metode praktik langsung (learning by doing) dan partisipatif, melibatkan 10 peserta terpilih. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui catatan lapangan, lembar observasi, dan kuesioner. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kepercayaan diri peserta; seluruh peserta memahami langkah-langkah pembuatan kuesioner digital, mampu mengoperasikan JotForm, dan 90% peserta dapat membuat kuesioner secara mandiri. Mayoritas aktivitas praktik peserta dinilai Sempurna, Sangat Baik, dan Baik, tanpa ada aktivitas yang dinilai Kurang, sedangkan tantangan teknis seperti kendala perangkat dan koneksi internet dapat diatasi melalui kerja sama dan pendampingan tutor. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan kompetensi mahasiswa anak kos, serta memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mengurangi kesenjangan digital di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi
Pelatihan teknologi untuk keluarga meningkatkan keterlibatan ayah dalam pendidikan anak dengan bantuan google site " PELAMORING (Pelatihan Model Fathering)
Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul “Pelatihan Teknologi untuk Keluarga: Meningkatkan Keterlibatan Ayah dalam Pendidikan Anak dengan Bantuan Google Site PELAMORING (Pelatihan Model Fathering)” dilaksanakan sebagai upaya menjawab permasalahan rendahnya keterlibatan ayah dalam pendidikan anak usia dini di Kabupaten Garut. Kegiatan ini dirancang dalam bentuk pelatihan selama tiga hari yang diikuti oleh guru PAUD. Materi yang diberikan meliputi pengenalan konsep keterlibatan ayah dalam pendidikan anak, pendampingan pemanfaatan Google Site PELAMORING sebagai media pembelajaran keluarga, serta praktik langsung mengakses dan menggunakan fitur-fitur dalam website tersebut. Selama pelaksanaan, peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi, terlihat dari partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi dan latihan praktik. Proses evaluasi dilakukan melalui post-test, refleksi peserta, serta monitoring berkelanjutan dengan mendampingi guru dalam menyampaikan materi kepada ayah. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan, di mana keterlibatan ayah dalam pendidikan anak meningkat hingga 75%. Dengan demikian, program ini tidak hanya berhasil memperkenalkan inovasi teknologi berbasis keluarga, tetapi juga memberikan dampak nyata dalam memperkuat peran ayah dalam pendidikan anak usia dini
MENINGKATKAN SIKAP EMPATI SISWA SMA MELALUI LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK SOSIODRAMA
Moral behavior is a persons behavior towards other people that leads to moral behavior in adolescence. Based on the results of prior research observations conducted in tenth grade at SMA Negeri 2 Lembang there are less empathetic students. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of group mentoring using social drama techniques to increase empathic attitudes of students. This research uses quantitative research methods with pre-experimental group pre-test post-test design research techniques. The data collection method used empathy questionnaire. A research sample of 7 students was drawn from a population of 111 students using purposive sampling method. Quantitative data was collected through questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS ie t test which was first tested for normality and homogeneity. The results of the research showed that the independent sample t-test results were 0.001 < 005 so Ha and Ho were rejected so that group guidance services using social drama techniques are effective in increasing students empathy
EFEKTIVITAS LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK SELF-MANAGEMENT TERHADAP KECEMASAN AKADEMIK PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI MAN CIMAHI
This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the process of implementing group guidance services with self-management techniques on the academic anxiety of class XI students at MAN Cimahi. This research method is a mix method using the explanatory sequential design with one group pre-test post-test design. This sampling technique uses random sampling technique. Random sampling technique is taking samples from a population at random without paying attention to the strata in the population and each member of the population has the same opportunity to be sampled. The subjects in this research were class XI students at MAN Cimahi with a population of 140 students and a sample consisting of 14 students. Data collection used in this research used academic anxiety instruments. Analysis of the data used in this research used a paired 1 test with the help of the SPSS version 25 program. Based on the paired t test, the value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the Ho hypothesis was rejected and the Ha hypothesis was accepted, which means that there is an influence on group guidance services with Self-management techniques to reduce the level of academic anxiety of class XI MAN Cimahi students. The process of implementing group guidance services using self-management techniques was carried out in 3 sessions and the obstacles faced by students and BK teachers were limited time and at the first meeting students still felt embarrassed to ask questions and express opinions. So it can be concluded that the effectiveness of group guidance services using self-management techniques on the academic anxiety of class XI MAN Cimahi students is quite effective
EFEKTIVITAS KONSELING REALITA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN RESILIENSI AKADEMIK PADA SISWA DI SMK NEGERI 1 SAMARINDA
Basically, students face numerous demands, both academic and non-academic. However, vocational high school (SMK) students differ slightly from general high school (SMA) students, as SMK students are expected to master practical skills and competencies relevant to the workforce, in addition to possessing adequate supporting knowledge. Due to the multitude of demands, SMK students, in particular, are prone to experiencing academic stress. Therefore, high academic resilience is required to overcome academic stress, which could otherwise hinder students' ability to adapt to future industry demands. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of group counseling using the WDEP technique in enhancing students' academic resilience. The research was conducted on eleventh-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Samarinda. This study employed an experimental research design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, in which a single group served as the experimental group receiving group counseling treatment using the WDEP technique. Purposive sampling was used to select eight students as participants in the group counseling sessions. Data analysis was performed using parametric statistics, specifically the paired sample t-test and N-Gain Score test, with the aid of SPSS 26 software. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' academic resilience levels, with the average score increasing from 96.75 in the pretest to 147.625 in the posttest. Hypothesis testing revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), and the N-Gain Score analysis yielded a result of 51.157%, indicating that reality group counseling with the WDEP technique is effective in improving students' academic resilience
An Analysis of Deixis in The Lyrics of A Song “Man Upon The Hill” by The Stars and Rabbit
The purpose of this study is to analyze the predominant deixis and the form of deixis found in the famous band Stars and Rabbit song "Man Upon The Hill". This study uses a qualitative method, data collection using document analysis techniques is done by reading, and writing. This study collected the data by doing the following: First, the researcher listened to the songs, second the researcher searched the internet for scripts for the lyrics of the song, third the researcher selected lyrics to analyze, fourth the researcher marked all the lyrics selected for analysis. After collecting the data from the lyrics script, the researcher analyzes the data are as follows: First, the researcher identifies several phrases that include deictic phrases. Second, the researcher classifies the identified deictic expressions according to their criteria. Third, the researcher analyzes the types of deixis. The results showed that there are three kinds of deixis in the lyrics of the song "Man Upon The Hill" that is person deixis in table 1, spatial deixis in table 2, and discourse deixis in table 3. However, the most common kinds of deixis used in the song "Man Upon the Hill" is a person deixis with 21 data. Compared with spatial deixis which consists of five words, and discourse deixis which consists of two words. So, that's what this song means, that's what the vocals experience
