    The Effect of Project Based Learning Model on Reading Comprehension Skills of Grade IV Students of SDIT Khairul Ikhwan

    Abstract This study aims to identify significant differences in students' reading comprehension between those who use project-based learning model and those who use traditional learning model. The research design used was one group pretest posttest design. The instruments used in this study used test and non-test techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The object studied in this study was class IV students of SDIT Khairul Ikhwan totaling 19 people. The results showed that the significance value or Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) or p-value of 0.001 which is smaller than the 5 percent significance level (p-value <0.05), then the decision taken is to reject H0. That is, there is a significant difference in students' reading comprehension between users of the Project Based Learning model and the traditional learning model.     Improving Students’ Mathematical Creative Thinking and Resillience Using Eliciting Activities Approach

    The ability of students in mathematics especially in creative thinking and resillience is still low. This reseacrch aimed to overcome the low ability of students mathematical creative thinking and resillience using eliciting activites approach and also to analyze the role of model eliciting activities (MEAs) on students’ mathematical creative thinking (MCT) and mathematical resillience. The method used in this research is a qualitative-quantitative method with quasi-experimental control group design. Subjects of this research are 30 students of 11th grade which selected randomly from 4 classess majoring agribusiness and holticultura in SMKN 4 Padalarang. Instruments of this research are mathematical creative thinking test ability (MCTA), a mathematical resillience scale (MR), and a student’s opinion on MEAs. The results of this research found that students getting treatment with MEAs attained better grade on MCTA than the grades of students taught by sciencetific approach (SA) eventough both grades were still at low-medium level. On MR, there was no different grades between students on both teaching approaches, and those grades were at medium-fairly good level. Besides that, the research found that students realized some difficulties in solving MCTA tasks, and there was no association between MCTA and MR.  the facts found in this research concluded that the use of eliciting activities approach could improve the ability of students’ mathematical creative thinking and resilience

    Exploratory Data Analysis on Mathematics Learning Difficulties for Junior High School Students/MTs on Solving Story Problems in Terms of Gender

    Mathematics subjects at various levels of education are still considered difficult. One of the mathematical skills that students still lack mastery of is mathematical communication. Otherwise in mathematics learning, as explained in NCTM, "communication is a fundamental element of mathematics learning," which means that communication is a basic element in mathematics learning. Mathematical story problems are a form of problem in mathematical communication competence. Moreover, based on the PISA report, with low language skills, students' ability to solve story problems also becomes much more difficult. This purpose study are to indentify and analyze the difficulties of junior high school students in solving math story problems and alternatives to overcome them, and also demography analyze these difficulties based on gender, age and elementary school educational background. Utilizing an Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) approach, data were collected from 291 students in grades 7, 8, and 9. The findings indicate that most students struggle with understanding the text of word problems, identifying relevant information, and modelling mathematical problems. Further analysis reveals that 9th-grade students, particularly those older, encounter more complex challenges but demonstrate better problem-solving abilities. Gender differences were observed in learning strategies, with female students tending to use more structured strategies such as note-taking or diagramming

    Analysis of Students’ Mathematical Critical Thinking in Solving Function Derivative Problems based on Gender Differences

    Critical thinking is a vital skill in solving mathematical problems, particularly in calculus where understanding derivative functions is essential. Previous research indicates that gender differences may influence students’ cognitive strategies and performance in mathematical problem-solving. This study aims to analyze the critical thinking abilities of mathematics education students in solving derivative function problems, with a specific focus on gender differences. A qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach was employed. The participants were male and female students selected through purposive sampling from a mathematics education program. Data collection techniques included critical thinking tests, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The analysis framework was based on Facione’s critical thinking indicators: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation. Thematic analysis was used to examine qualitative data, while descriptive statistics summarized students' performance on the tests. Results revealed that female students generally achieved higher critical thinking scores than their male counterparts. They showed a stronger tendency to employ analytical and reflective strategies, whereas male students typically adopted more procedural and direct approaches. Both groups encountered significant difficulties in the evaluation and explanation phases, which are crucial to advanced critical thinking. The study concludes that gender plays a role in shaping students’ critical thinking strategies in solving derivative problems. These findings underscore the importance of gender-responsive and adaptive instructional strategies in calculus learning to enhance students' logical reasoning and overall critical thinking development in higher education mathematics instruction

    Implementasi Media Audio Gelaria untuk Meningkatkan Motorik Kasar Anak Usia Dini

    Keterampilan motorik kasar ialah gerakan tubuh yang menggunakan otot-otot besar atau sebagian besar seluruh tubuh dan dipengaruhi oleh kematangan anak. Agar perkembangan fisik-motorik tidak terhambat, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan lingkungan suara lagu anak gembira GELARIA, lingkungan belajar interaktif yang menyenangkan melalui gerak dan lagu untuk anak. sehingga bisa meningkatkan motorik kasar anak. Riset ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan motorik kasar anak di KOBER Al-Afsar Tasikmalaya setelah diterapkannya media audio grakan lagu anak ceria GELARIA pada 13 orang anak kelompok B di KOBER Al-Afsar Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi obsevasi. Data dikaji dengan reduksi data, data dan verifikasi. Hasil kajian mengambarkan bahwa implementasi  media audio gerakan lagu anak ceria (GELARIA) membagikan adanya peningkatan  perkembangan motorik kasar pada sebagian besar anak menggunakan indikator adanya koordinasi gerakan tubuh, berjalan di kawasan, mengayunkan tangan, melompat, loncat serta lari di kawasan.   Gross motor skills are body movements that use large muscles or most of the entire body and are influenced by the child's maturity. So that physical-motor development is not hampered, one way is to use the sound environment of the happy children's song GELARIA, a fun interactive learning environment through movement and songs for children, so it can improve children's gross motor skills. This research aims to determine the improvement in gross motor skills of children in Kober al-Afsar Tasikmalaya after implementing the audio media for the cheerful children's song Gelaria in 13 group B children at KOBER Al-Afsar Tasikmalaya. The research method used is a case study. Data collection methods include observation. Data is studied by data reduction and data verification. The results of the study show that the implementation of audio media for cheerful children's song movements (GELARIA) provides an increase in gross motor development in the majority of children using indicators of coordination of body movements, walking in the area, swinging arms, jumping, skipping, and running in the area.Anak usia dini adalah anak yang berusia antara 0 dan 6 tahun, di mana mereka masih berkembang. Hal terbaik yang dapat dilakukan untuk mendukung tumbuh kembang anak adalah dengan menyelenggarakan PAUD Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan di PAUD Kober Al-Afsar, peneliti menemukan bahwa di sekolah tersebut beberapa guru masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran sederhana seperti melempar bola, baris-berbaris sebelum masuk kelas, berjalan mundur dari lapangan menuju ke kelas untuk mengembangkan motorik kasar anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan secara komprehensif dan rinci objek yang sedang dianalisis adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata atau perilaku yang bisa diamati. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah PAUD Kober Al-Afsar Tasikmalaya. Pelaksanaan GELARIA dalam penelitian ini memiliki manfaat yaitu meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar anak PAUD di Kober Al-Afsar Tasikmalaya, karena keterampilan motorik sangat penting bagi perkembangan pribadi secara keseluruhan. Motorik normal artinya anak dapat bermain atau bergaul dengan teman sebayanya, sedangkan anak yang perkembangan motoriknya belum berkembang akan menghambat anak untuk dapat bergaul dengan teman sebayanya bahkan dia akan terkucil atau menjadi anak yang fringer (terpinggirkan).     Rentan nya hubungan keluarga antara ibu dan anak dikarenakan orang tua yang sibuk bekerja, anak pun merasa terabaikan apalagi terhadap asupan makanan anak yang cenderung dilakukan oleh sang ibu yang sudah sibuk diluar rumah untuk lebih memilih makanan siap saji, membiarkan anak jajan sembarangan dan tidak memperhatikan kandungan gizi sehingga membuat penulis ingin meneliti lebih dalam bagaimana hubungan kedekatan ibu dan anak yang berkembang melalui pembuatan bekal makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan yang terjalin dengan kedekatan antara ibu dan anak yang diberikan dalam hal penyajian bekal makanan (bento) pada Raudhatul Athfal (RA). Melalui studi literatur ini  penulis mengambil berbagai sumber data dari jurnal-jurnal yang telah dipublikasikan terkait dengan hubungan pendekatan ibu dan anak melalui penyajian bekal makanan (bento). Analisis Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara pengumpulan data, pengorganisasian, serta analisis lanjutan menggunakan metode dokumentasi yang diambil dari jurnal Online yang terdapat pada Google Schoolar Setelah itu sumber data ini dianalisis lebih dari 15 artikel yang dimulai dari tahun 2005 hingga saat ini. kemudian diuraikan dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian yang penulis dapat dari analisis data tersebut selanjutnya akan dikaji kembali dengan menggunakan deskriptif analitik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan hasil bahwa penyajian bekal makanan (bento) terbukti memberikan hubungan pada pendekatan antara ibu dan anak yaitu perantara berkomunikasi, dan  dapat mengontrol asupan anak. The vulnerability of family relationships between mothers and children due to parents who are busy working, children also feel neglected, especially regarding the child's food intake, which tends to be done by the mother, who is already busy outside the home, preferring fast food, letting children buy snacks carelessly, and not paying attention to nutritional content, so the author wants to research more deeply how the closeness of the mother and child develops through the preparation of food supplies. This study aims to analyze the relationship that is established with the closeness between mothers and children in terms of serving food supplies (bento) at Raudhatul Athfal (RA). Through this literature study, the author took various data sources from published journals related to the relationship between the mother and child approach through the presentation of food supplies (bento). Analysis Data collection was carried out by collecting data, organizing it, and further analyzing it using documentation methods taken from online journals found on Google Scholar. After that, this data source was analyzed in more than 15 articles starting from 2005 to the present. Then described using descriptive analysis methods. The results of the research that the author obtained from the data analysis will then be reviewed again using descriptive analytics. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the presentation of food supplies (bento) was proven to provide a relationship between the approach between mother and child, namely as a communication intermediary, and can control the child's intake.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kedekatan antara ibu dan anak yang diberikan dalam hal penyajian bekal makanan (bento) pada RA (Raudhatul Athfal).     Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini membutuhkan kemitraan yang kuat antara kepala sekolah dan orang tua untuk mendukung pembelajaran anak secara optimal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam membangun hubungan yang produktif dengan orang tua, mengevaluasi efektivitas komunikasi yang diterapkan, serta menganalisis dampak kemitraan terhadap pendidikan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review, yang berfokus pada strategi kepala sekolah dalam membangun kemitraan dengan orang tua di lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini. Data dikumpulkan melalui pencarian di Google Scholar yang mencakup berbagai publikasi ilmiah terkait peran kepala sekolah dalam kemitraan dengan orang tua. Dari 25 artikel yang ditemukan, 10 dipilih sebagai fokus utama penelitian ini. Data dianalisis menggunakan thematic analysis untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama, seperti efektivitas komunikasi, pelibatan orang tua dalam program sekolah, dan strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengatasi hambatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemitraan antara kepala sekolah dan orang tua memiliki peran signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, memperkuat sinergi antara rumah dan sekolah, serta mendukung perkembangan anak secara holistik. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam membangun hubungan yang berkelanjutan dan harmonis dengan orang tua.Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini membutuhkan kemitraan yang kuat antara kepala sekolah dan orang tua untuk mendukung pembelajaran anak secara optimal. This partnership requires effective managerial strategies to build productive communication and relationships. This article aims to identify the principal's managerial strategy in building relationships with parents, evaluate the effectiveness of communication, and analyze the impact of partnerships on early childhood education. This study uses the systematic literature review method, which focuses on the principal's managerial strategies in building partnerships with parents. Data were collected through a search on Google Scholar, which includes various scientific publications related to the role of the principal in partnerships with parents. Of the 25 articles found, 14 were selected as the main focus of this study. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key themes, such as communication effectiveness, parental involvement in school programs, and principal strategies for overcoming obstacles. The results of the study indicate that the partnership between the principal and parents plays a significant role in improving the quality of early childhood education, strengthening synergy between home and school, and supporting holistic child development. These findings highlight the role of leadership in building effective partnerships.     Mengembangkan kecerdasan berpikir, berbahasa, dan berolahraga melalui permainan tradisional

    This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase awareness of the people of Karangsinom Village, Karawang, about the urgency and benefits of preserving traditional games rooted in local culture. The activity was carried out in February 2025 involving 30 participants consisting of PKK mothers, elementary school teachers, and students. The implementation method includes workshops and traditional game practices. The Beam and Dagongan Races are the media for practice to integrate the three intelligences through traditional game sports. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the educational value of traditional games, as well as enthusiasm in implementing them in social and school environments. This activity proves that traditional games not only preserve culture, but are also effective as a holistic solution for developing thinking, language, and sports intelligence. Follow-up recommendations include ongoing training and integration of traditional games in the national curriculum. Keywords: Multiple intelligence, Traditional Games, Local Wisdom

    PROFIL KEMATANGAN KARIER SISWA TINGKAT XI SMA NEGERI 2 LEMBANG

    This research aims to determine the career maturity profile of level XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Lembang in 2024. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with a survey research design. The research sample was 72 students from class XI majoring in Social Sciences. Data collection used was a career maturity questionnaire and analysis of research data using descriptive statistics. From the results of distributing student career maturity questionnaire profiles, it was found that 28% were in the very low category, 32% in the low category, 18% in the medium category, 14% in the high category and 8% in the very high category. So it can be concluded from the results obtained that 60% of students have low career maturity, this needs to be addressed immediately so that students can increase their career maturity so they are able to plan and make the right career decisions for their future. The implications of the results of this research are as reference material, both practical and theoretical, for guidance and counseling teachers or future researchers in the field of guidance and counseling related to planning career guidance programs in helping students achieve career development tasks

    HUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI ORANG TUA TERHADAP KESEPIAN EMOSIONAL PADA MAHASISWA BIMBINGAN KONSELING

    This study aims to examine the relationship between parental communication and emotional loneliness among students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Palopo. Emotional loneliness is a psychological condition characterized by feelings of emptiness, alienation, and the absence of meaningful emotional closeness with significant others, including parents. Effective communication between parents and children is believed to provide emotional support that can reduce feelings of loneliness. This research employed a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sample consisted of 108 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires on parental communication and emotional loneliness. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation, which showed a significant relationship between the two variables, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.625, indicating a strong positive correlation. These findings suggest that the better the quality of communication between students and their parents, the lower the level of emotional loneliness experienced. Therefore, open, empathetic, and supportive communication from parents is essential in maintaining the emotional well-being of university students
