PENGARUH LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE (EQ) SISWA KELAS XI DI MA NEGERI 2 SAMARINDA
Emotional problems among students can significantly hinder their social and academic growth, emphasizing the need to foster emotional intelligence during adolescence. This study investigates the low ability of students to recognize and regulate emotions, which affects their adjustment at school. A quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The population included 329 eleventh-grade students at MA Negeri 2 Samarinda, with a purposive sample of six students identified as having low emotional intelligence. Data were collected using The Schutte Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SSEIT) and analyzed through normality and paired sample t-tests. The average pretest score was 37.33, which increased to 71.00 after the group counseling intervention, showing an improvement of 33.67 points. These findings indicate that group counseling services significantly enhance emotional intelligence among eleventh-grade students, helping them better understand, manage, and express their emotions constructively
PERBANDINGAN SELF AWARENESS ANTARA PESERTA DIDIK PEROKOK DAN NON-PEROKOK
Smoking behavior among students is often associated with low self-awareness, although this assumption has not been fully supported by empirical evidence. This study is important to objectively examine differences in self-awareness levels between smoking and non-smoking students. The purpose of this study was to compare self-awareness levels between the two groups. This research employed a quantitative comparative method with a cross-sectional design and an ex post facto approach. The participants consisted of 44 students, including 22 smokers and 22 non-smokers selected through random sampling. The research instruments included a self-awareness scale and the Cigarettes Dependence Scale (CDS-12). Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, normality tests, and an Independent Samples t-test. The results indicated that there was no significant difference in self-awareness levels between smoking and non-smoking students based on the Independent Samples t-test (t = −1.079; p = 0.287) These findings suggest that smoking behavior does not directly reflect students’ level of self-awareness. Therefore, guidance and counseling services in schools should consider factors beyond self-awareness in efforts to prevent smoking behavior among students
EFEKTIVITAS KONSELING KELOMPOK SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF COUNSELING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SELF-EFFICACY KARIER SISWA KELAS XII SMAN MODEL TERPADU BOJONEGORO
One counseling approach that can be applied by counselors to enhance students’ career self-efficacy by utilizing their strengths and personal resources is group counseling using the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) approach. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling group counseling in improving the career self-efficacy of Grade XII students at SMAN Model Terpadu Bojonegoro. The study employed a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The research participants consisted of 18 students, including 9 students in the experimental group and 9 students in the control group, selected through a non-random purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a career self-efficacy questionnaire. The implementation of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling group counseling was conducted in four sessions, which include rapport building, problem identification, counseling goal setting, intervention implementation, termination, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of data analysis showed that the experimental group achieved a posttest mean score of 88.67, while the control group obtained a posttest mean score of 81.67. These findings indicate a significant difference between the two groups, with a higher increase in career self-efficacy observed in the experimental group compared to the control group. Furthermore, the independent samples t-test revealed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.005, which is lower than the significance level of 0.05. This result indicates that Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) group counseling is effective in improving the career self-efficacy of Grade XII students at SMAN Model Terpadu Bojonegoro
An Analysis of Students’ Anxiety in Learning English Speaking at SMAN 1 Masbagik
This study aims to explore the factors contributing to students' anxiety when speaking English in the tenth grade at SMAN 1 Masbagik during the 2025-2026 academic year. A qualitative descriptive design was used, employing observation, interviews, and questionnaires as the main data collection instruments. The findings reveal that students experience three types of anxiety: communication concerns, test anxiety, and fear of negative evaluation. The main factors that trigger speaking anxiety include limited vocabulary, fear of making mistakes, pronunciation difficulties, and fear of negative evaluation. To overcome these challenges, students applied several strategies such as repeated practice, relaxation techniques, positive self-talk, preparing for language comprehension/grammar, and seeking peer support. This study concluded that student speaking anxiety is a multidimensional problem influenced by linguistic and psychological factors, requiring efforts from teachers and students to foster a more supportive learning environment
Pre-Service English Teachers’ Insights on Using Zep Quiz as a Learning Tool in EFL Classrooms
This study investigates the perspectives of pre-service English teachers on the use of Zep Quiz in the context of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) instruction. Along with the development towards the digital era, integrating technology in educational settings is crucial, especially for future educators looking to employ technology based methods to create engaging and appealing lessons. Employing a qualitative approach with exploratory descriptive methods, this study examines English education students at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya who implemented Zep Quiz during their internship teaching practice. Data collection involved semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, followed by thematic analysis. Findings reveal that Zep Quiz was user friendly and effective in enhancing student motivation and engagement. Gamification features such as scoring and leaderboards fostered a competitive and enjoyable learning environment. However, challenges related to technological limitations were also found, such as connectivity issues and device limitations among students. The study highlights the importance of teacher education focusing on technology mastery and classroom management skills to address such challenges. The results are anticipated to influence pre-service English teacher education programs, particularly in the integration of technology in EFL instruction
IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI PEMBELAJARAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA PAKET C DI SANGGAR KEGIATAN BELAJAR SPNF KAB. KARAWANG
Pendidikan adalah proses humanis yang dikenal dengan istilah memanusiakan manusia. Dengan demikian, pendidikan tidak hanya membentuk manusia yang mampu beraktifitas seperti makan, minum, berpakaian, dan memiliki tempat tinggal, tetapi juga membentuk manusia yang lebih utuh dan berkembang. Implementasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran pada siswa Paket C di Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) SPNF Kabupaten Karawang menunjukkan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan motivasi, kemandirian, dan efektivitas belajar siswa. Teknologi seperti komputer, smartphone, dan aplikasi pembelajaran digital berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan adaptif. Meskipun ada beberapa tantangan, seperti ketidakstabilan internet dan rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan siswa, penerapan teknologi tetap dinilai efektif dalam mendukung proses belajar yang lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk menggali dan memahami makna pengalaman manusia, interaksi sosial, atau fenomena tertentu. Pendekatan ini mengandalkan data non-numerik seperti wawancara, observasi, dokumen, atau catatan lapangan. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menggambarkan objek atau fenomena secara rinci tanpa melakukan manipulasi terhadap objek penelitian. Pendekatan ini menekankan pada kualitas, karakteristik, dan hubungan antar aspek yang diteliti. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan data berupa ucapan atau tulisan dari orang yang diamati dan terlibat langsung dalam proses penelitian.
Efektivitas penggunaan video pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar konsep dasar perkalian di kelas III fase B
Abstract
Mathematics as an important subject in elementary school is often challenging for students, especially in understanding the basic concept of multiplication. This study aims to test the effectiveness of learning videos as an innovative media in improving student learning outcomes in multiplication material. The research method used is an experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of the study involved third-grade students in two elementary schools, who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were obtained through pretests and posttests to evaluate students' abilities before and after using learning videos. The results showed that the use of learning videos significantly improved students' understanding of the concept of multiplication compared to conventional lecture methods. Students in the experimental group showed a higher increase in learning outcomes based on the calculation of the gain index. These findings confirm that learning videos are effective in visualizing abstract concepts, creating an interactive learning atmosphere, and increasing students' learning motivation. This study concludes that the integration of video media in mathematics learning can be an innovative solution to improve student learning outcomes at the elementary level.

Abstrak
Matematika sebagai mata pelajaran penting di sekolah dasar sering kali menantang bagi siswa, khususnya dalam memahami konsep dasar perkalian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas video pembelajaran sebagai media inovatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perkalian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas III di dua sekolah dasar, yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan video pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video pembelajaran secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep perkalian dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah konvensional. Siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi berdasarkan perhitungan indeks gain. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa video pembelajaran efektif dalam memvisualisasikan konsep abstrak, menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi media video dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk memperbaiki hasil belajar siswa di tingkat dasar.

Analisis implementasi projek penguatan profil pelajar pancasila dalam membentuk karakter gotong royong siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Walaharcageur
Minimnya karakter gotong royong pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Walaharcageur dalam kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana implementasi kegiatan Penerapan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam membentuk karakter gotong royong siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Walaharcageur, serta ingin mengetahui apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan karakter gotong royong siswa setelah mengikuti kegiatan projek penguatan profil pelajar pancasila. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru pada pelaksanaan kegiatan P5 yang dilakukan sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan profil pelajar pancasila, berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dari masing-masing tahapan tersebut pada saat kegiatan terbukti bahwa tahapan-tahapan tersebut dapat melatih dan membentuk karakter gotong royong siswa, dari tahapan-tahapan tersebut siswa memiliki nilai karakter gotong royong yang baik yang bisa diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan karakter siswa diantaranya yaitu peran guru, lingkungan sekolah, keterlibatan orang tua, pengalaman sosial siswa, motivasi dan kesadaran siswa, serta metode pembelajaran yang digunakan harus sesuai. Meskipun hasil menunjukkan peningkatan karakter gotong royong, namun proses pembentukan karakter tidak terjadi secara instan, masih diperlukan upaya pembiasaan, pendampingan intensif serta konsistensi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan P5 agar hasil yang didapat lebih maksimal dan berkelanjutan.

The Effect of Wordwall Innovation Media on Descriptive Text Learning Outcomes of Class VII
Abstract
This study employs a quasi-experimental design approach to identify characteristics. By using pre- and post-tests on the structure and linguistic components of descriptive texts written by seventh-grade students at SMP Taruna Bakti Bandung, this research aims to determine the impact of Wordwall learning media on learning outcomes. The research sample consisted of 27 students from Class VII E, while the research population included all seventh-grade students across nine classes. Class VII Bilingual 2, consisting of 24 students, was used as the control group. The data analysis process begins with assumption testing, requiring homogeneity and normality tests. Once the data were proven homogeneous and normal, hypothesis testing (t-test) was conducted. The study results showed that the experimental class achieved an average score of 84.15 in the t-test, while the control class, which did not receive treatment, scored an average of 72.42, indicating a considerable difference. A significant difference was found between the studied variables (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.5. Therefore, Wordwall learning media significantly impacts students' learning outcomes in recognizing the characteristics, composition, and linguistic components of descriptive texts for seventh-grade students at SMP Taruna Bakti Bandung
Analysis of Students’ Mathematical Critical Thinking Skills – A Case on Two Variables Linear Equation System
Critical thinking is an essential component of mathematics learning, particularly when students are required to solve word problems that demand reasoning, interpretation, and systematic decision-making. However, evidence from previous studies shows that many junior high school students still struggle to apply critical thinking skills effectively, especially in the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV). This study aims to analyze the types of errors made by students when solving SPLDV word problems based on indicators of mathematical critical thinking skills. This qualitative descriptive study involved 36 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 1 Ciranjang. The data were collected through five open-ended test items developed according to four indicators of mathematical critical thinking: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Students’ written responses were scored using an established rubric, and the data were analyzed through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that students frequently experienced several types of difficulties, including: (1) failing to identify the known and asked information; (2) using unsystematic problem-solving procedures; (3) constructing incorrect or incomplete mathematical models; (4) applying inappropriate strategies; (5) performing inaccurate or incomplete calculations; and (6) being unable to draw conclusions aligned with the context of the problem. These results indicate that students’ mathematical critical thinking skills related to SPLDV remain weak and require improvement. Therefore, structured guidance, explicit reasoning instruction, and consistent practice are needed to strengthen students’ problem solving abilities
