Integration of Islamic Values in the Ningkuk Ritual: A Model of Character Education Based on Local Wisdom in South Sumatra
This study aims to reveal the moral values contained in the Ningkuk ritual and how these values are instilled in young women in the Sukarami Village community. In addition, this study explains the function of Ningkuk as a model of non-formal character education based on local wisdom and assesses its relevance to the development of national character education. This study examines the integration of Islamic values in the Ningkuk ritual as a model of character education based on the local wisdom of the Sukarami Village community in South Sumatra. Using an ethnographic approach, this study collected data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and cultural documentation. The results show that the Ningkuk ritual contains Islamic character values, including birrul walidain, gratitude, patience, cooperation (ta'awun), social solidarity (ukhuwah), manners, responsibility, and spirituality. These values are internalized not through verbal instruction but through social practices, cultural symbols, and intergenerational inheritance mechanisms. This study fills a gap in research that has so far overlooked how Islamic values are substantively integrated into the Ningkuk procession, and how this ritual can be reconstructed into a contextual character education model that is compatible with national education policy. This study concludes that Ningkuk is an authentic pedagogical resource that has strategic relevance for formal and non-formal education, especially in the development of local content curricula and culture-based character building programs. These findings offer a theoretical and practical framework for the integration of Islamic values and local wisdom in the design of character education in Indonesia.

Religious Authority and Political Dynamics: The Influence of Fatwa Issuance by Religious Institutions on Political Discourses in Indonesia
This study explores the role of religious institutions through fatwas in the formation of public policy in Indonesia, particularly major institutions such as the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), and Muhammadiyah. The main objective is to understand how fatwas are produced by religious organizations and how they impact the political process and government policy. The research problem stems from the phenomenon that fatwas, although they do not have formal legal force, are often used as moral references by the community and are even considered by the government in formulating public policy. The research approach uses qualitative field studies: interviews with fatwa figures, analysis of fatwa documents, and observation of the interaction between religious institutions and public officials in several regions. The findings show that fatwas serve as moral and social legitimacy as well as non-formal influence on the formulation of public policy. Although not legally binding, the influence of fatwas on policy guidance is quite significant, especially on moral and social issues, as well as the creation of a space for dialogue between the state and society. The implications of the research results show the importance of understanding the role of fatwas not only as religious products but also as social political instruments in the architecture of public policy.

Learning from the Bangladeshi Islamic Microfinance Model for Sharia Microfinance Development in Indonesia
The extreme institutional fragmentation of Indonesia's 4,500+ BMT units has led to an inability to achieve economies of scale despite serving 3.7 million customers with assets of Rp 16 trillion, while the Bangladesh centric bank model (RDS-IBBL) serves 520,000 members with high efficiency but at the expense of social closeness, creating a trade-off of efficiency versus embeddedness that requires systematic investigation. The research uses a comparative qualitative method by analyzing academic literature 2008-2025, institutional reports (UNDP, Bangladesh Bank, OJK, LAZ), and regulatory documents through comparative descriptive analysis of six dimensions with multi-source triangulation validity. Empirical findings show that the Bangladesh bank-centric model achieved a recovery rate of >95% and increased the income of 72% of participants, while the Indonesian community-based model had a recovery rate of 85-90% but was resilient during the 1997-1998 crisis, with a dominance of 70-80% in both countries, explained five factors: transaction cost economics, extreme information asymmetry, institutional path dependency, regulatory constraints, and customer preference for certainty. The theoretical contribution validates the path dependency theory that institutional design shaped by historical trajectories is different (the legacy of the Grameen Bank versus the tradition of mutual cooperation) and rejects the assumption of convergence by proving persistent diversity that is context-dependent. The policy implications include five recommendations: a national apex body BMT for shared services while preserving local autonomy; Sharia Microfinance Academy with a target of 5,000 certified professionals in 5 years; harmonization of OJK regulations, Ministry of Cooperatives, Ministry of Religion; dual-track financing strategy to increase PLS proportion from <20% to 40% in 5 years; and the Structured Waqf Zakat Microfinance Integration Model Graduated Approach (70-80% Mustahiq to become muzakki in 2-3 years), requires a national coordination framework to transform the MFI ecosystem from atomistic fragmented to networked professionals to contribute optimally to the SDGs
Pangan Lokal, Ibu, Dan Stunting: Studi Kasus Praktik Pemberdayaan Gizi Keluarga Di Kupang
The adaptation of nutrition policies in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has so far been largely focused on technical aspects such as supplementary food distribution, fortification, and medical interventions, while paying little attention to the social and cultural practices that underpin nutritional resilience at the family level. This article explores how mothers in Kupang City have developed empowerment practices based on local food as a strategy to address stunting problems. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews with ten housewives, two posyandu (community health post) cadres, and field observations of local food processing practices. The results revealed that mothers in Kupang play not only the role of child caregivers but also serve as agents of social change in ensuring family nutrition through innovative menus based on local food ingredients such as jagung bose (corn porridge), moringa (kelor), and various tubers. These practices demonstrate the interconnection between local knowledge, gender roles, and efforts toward nutritional resilience—elements often overlooked in formal interventions. This study emphasizes that integrating local wisdom into nutrition policies can enhance the effectiveness of stunting reduction programs in food-insecure regions such as NTT.

TEACHING MATERIALS IN CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS-BASED LEARNING: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW
Teaching materials designed for creative thinking skills are very important because they guide students to develop innovative problem-solving skills and think outside the box. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of effective teaching materials in supporting creative thinking skills-based learning, and to identify the essential components that must be present in teaching materials to develop these skills. This study is a systematic literature review that describes teaching materials in creative thinking skills-based learning in the field of biology education. This study synthesizes 11 of 42 articles published between 2021–2024 in Sinta 2–4 journals obtained based on the formulation of the problem. The study results consistently demonstrate the dominance and crucial role of digital-based teaching materials in significantly enhancing students' creative thinking skills. These digital resources are uniquely designed with embedded features like multimedia integration, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) scenarios, and open-ended questions, thereby creating a highly interactive, flexible, and relevant learning environment aligned with 21st-century demands. The efficacy of these digital tools is strongly reinforced through their integration with active learning strategies such as PBL and Inquiry-Based Learning, This finding offers significant novelty by providing empirical evidence that locally-adapted digital products are a primary catalyst for pedagogical transformation. The practical implication is that educators must shift their focus from mere information delivery to designing rich learning experiences that explicitly demand students to generate, test, and validate their own creative ideas, preparing them for future complexity
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL) MODEL WITH AN EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (ESD) APPROACH IN IMPROVING STUDENTS' ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
The environmental awareness of students at SMPN 3 Ponorogo is still lacking as evidenced by results of initial observations through a pretest in class VII with material Ecology and Biodiversity in Indonesia, especially sub-chapter Influence of Human Actions on Environment, obtained an average of 48,83%. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL model with ESD approach to environmental care skills of class VII students. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a True Experiment design with experimental and control classes. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling, the sample is students of class VII B and VII F, each class consisting of 30 children. Data collection techniques with tests through pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques used included normality tests, homogeneity, t-test (independent), N-Gain, and effect cohend. Based on the research results, it is known that the average value of experimental class' environmental care ability for environmental insight indicator is 80 to 90, the maintenance, preservation, and skills indicator is 90 to 98. PBL learning model and ESD approach proved effective in terms of environmental care skills as evidenced by the results of t-test (independent) which showed in experimental class and control class. The results of the N-Gain and effect cohend tests showed that experimental class was more effective in improving students' environmental care skills than control class
