MODELING CHEMISTRY ASPIRATIONS IN HIGH SCHOOL: A STRUCTURAL EQUATION APPROACH TO SELF-EFFICACY, LEARNING APPROACHES, AND SELF-REGULATED LEARNING

This study aims to (1) identify the best model of relationships among learning self-efficacy, learning approaches, and self-regulated learning on the chemistry aspirations of high school students during the pandemic, and (2) determine the structural equation model (SEM) that best represents these relationships, including the relevant dimensions and indicators for each variable. This quantitative research employed a survey method, path analysis, and SEM approach. The sample consisted of 603 students from the Cirebon district, selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Prior to statistical analysis, prerequisite tests including normality, homogeneity, and outlier detection were conducted. Validity and reliability were examined using Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses. The findings revealed that the learning approach had the most significant direct association with students’ chemistry aspirations, whereas self-efficacy and self-regulated learning showed indirect relationships. Interestingly, surface motives rather than deep strategies were found to be more strongly linked to chemistry aspirations, suggesting that students’ engagement is primarily driven by performance goals and exam success. This context-dependent finding reflects Indonesia’s teacher-centered and exam-oriented learning culture. The most influential indicator was students’ initiative to use their free time to explore chemistry topics, while the least influential was self-control during unsupervised study. These results highlight the need to design learning strategies that gradually transform surface motives into deeper, intrinsic engagement through reflective, inquiry-based, and feedback oriented learning

Shīʿa Literature in Indonesia: A Historical Account

This study aims to trace the development and characteristics of various shīʿa literature in Indonesia from a historical perspective. This study uses library research, which allows for integrative and connective tracing of various literature as the primary source of data, which is analyzed through a descriptive approach considering historical dimensions. The findings reveal that the existence and development of shīʿa literature in Indonesia are not merely a historical reflection of the diversity of Islamic sects, but also a manifestation of intellectual dynamics that continue to transform within local and global contexts. The shīʿa tradition, which the majority has long overshadowed, has played a vital role in shaping Islamic discourse in Indonesia through institutional contributions, such as educational foundations, publishing, and academic networks spread across various Islamic universities. Amidst stereotypes and narrative challenges, this development reflects an epistemological openness among Indonesian Muslims who are slowly beginning to recognize the importance of inter-sectarian interaction in building a more comprehensive Islamic intellectual horizon. However, limited access to shīʿa literary archives, the dominance of publishing biases, and the lack of representation in mainstream academic discourse serve as reminders that the process of scholarly integration still requires sustainable and inclusive strategies

This study employs a bibliometric approach to analyze publication trends, research patterns, and collaboration networks in the field of digital da’wah (Islamic digital preaching) within Islamic studies. Using data extracted from the Dimensions database and visualized through VOSviewer, the research identifies significant developments in this domain. Findings reveal a marked increase in digital da’wah research in recent years, reflected by growing publication outputs and participation from diverse institutions and scholars worldwide. However, the analysis indicates limited collaborative networks among researchers, highlighting the need for stronger interdisciplinary and cross-regional partnerships. Key themes emerging from the literature include digital communication strategies, the role of social media in da’wah, and the opportunities and challenges of preaching in the digital era. This study maps the current landscape of digital da’wah research and suggests future directions, such as broader data coverage and deeper methodological exploration. The findings provide valuable insights for scholars and practitioners working at the dynamic intersection of Islamic propagation and evolving communication technologies.   REFERENCES Abouzid, Mohamed, Anna K. Islamic Corporate Philanthropy in Islamic Banking: Implementation of Zakat Regulation and Sharia Compliance in Indonesia

    No full text
This study aims to provide empirical evidence on the implementation of zakat management compliance and the influence of sharia corporate philanthropy on the performance of sharia commercial banks in Indonesia. This study uses a mixed method, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The collected data were then analyzed quantitatively using descriptive or inferential statistics. The research sample consisted of 12 Islamic banks registered with the OJK, and the secondary data for this study were taken from audited and published annual reports from 2017 to 2023. The data analysis technique used regression and legal interpretation analysis. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence of ICP performance and Islamic banks, and that there are examples of banking compliance with applicable laws. The contribution of this study lies in providing empirical evidence that compliance with zakat regulations and the implementation of Islamic corporate philanthropy have a positive impact on the performance of Islamic banking institutions. This study reinforces the argument that zakat is not only a moral or spiritual obligation, but also a strategic instrument in sustainable corporate governance. In addition, this research provides important input for regulators, banking practitioners, and zakat authorities in formulating more integrative and applicable policies, so as to optimize the potential of national zakat through synergy between regulations, institutions, and sharia corporate awareness

Keberanjakan Hukum Waris Islam: Studi Perundangan Hukum Waris Negara Turki dan Somalia Abstract This study aims to analyze the shift of Islamic inheritance law in the context of national legislation with a focus on the inheritance legal system in Turkey and Somalia. This study explores how the two countries implement and adapt Islamic inheritance principles in their respective legal systems, as well as the factors that influence these changes. The method used is library research with a descriptive-comparative approach. The research sources include Islamic law literature, national legislation, and related academic studies. The results showed that Turkey adopted a civil law-based inheritance legal system with significant secularization, while Somalia still maintained elements of Islamic inheritance law in its legislation. Historical, political, and social factors were the main determinants in the differences in the implementation of inheritance law in the two countries. This study provides insights into the dynamics of Islamic law adaptation in the context of a modern state

This study contributes to the understanding of the history of Indonesian law and its relevance in the context of customary law and contemporary Islamic law

Konsep Hak Milik Menurut Islam, Kapitalis dan Sosialis: Sebuah Komparasi

This study aims to compare the concept of property rights in the perspectives of Islam, capitalism, and socialism in order to understand the fundamental differences and their implications in the economic and legal systems. The method used is normative juridical research with a comparative law approach. Data were obtained through a literature study that included religious literature, economic theory, and related regulations. The results showed that in Islam, property rights are individual but limited by social interests and justice. Capitalism emphasizes private ownership without significant restrictions, while socialism emphasizes collective ownership for the sake of social equality. This comparison reveals that the Islamic system offers a balance between individual ownership and the public interest, in contrast to the extreme approaches of capitalism and socialism. Therefore, the concept of property rights in Islam has the potential to become a fairer alternative model for resource management

This study aims to examine the development of women's fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) in a historical perspective and how social and cultural dynamics influence the understanding of Islamic law related to women. The method used is qualitative with a historical-analytical approach, through a literature review of classical fiqh books and contemporary works. The results show that women's fiqh developed in various schools of thought with diverse interpretations, often influenced by the social context of the time. In some periods, women's fiqh was more restrictive, while in the modern context, more inclusive and gender-justice oriented reinterpretations emerged. This study emphasizes that women's fiqh is dynamic and needs to be contextualized according to the principle of maqashid sharia in order to remain relevant to the needs of Muslim women in the contemporary era
