Reference service: Bagaimana implementasinya Di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang?
Technological developments and changes in the characteristics of users make reference services in libraries experience a series of developments. Librarians are not only required to master the various reference collections available in the library but also must understand various types of other information sources that contain credible information. By utilizing existing technology, virtual reference services can improve the accessibility of users so that they do not need to come to the library physically. The types of reference services implemented at UPT UM Libraries include (1) guidance on using reference collections. (2) direct information retrieval guidance, and (3) virtual reference services
Analisis dampak layanan perpustakaan terhadap karir dosen: Studi terhadap ?dosen UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta
The State of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library in accordance with its tagline become a "research partner" in providing reference sources for the academic community, one of which is lecturers. Lecturers in their career development are required to have scientific papers published in scientific journals. This study aims to determine whether the services provided by the library affect the careers of lecturers, especially in terms of providing referral sources. This research is quantitative descriptive research. This research was conducted at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The total population in this study was 744 people and the samples taken were 88 people who were drawn using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection using the questionnaire method. The validity test, reliability test, correlation test, and regression test used the IBM SPSS statistic 26 programs. The results showed that the library services of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta were in the very high category with a percentage score of 80, 39%. Meanwhile, the career of a lecturer at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is in the good category with a percentage score of 74.78%. There is a relationship and influence between library services on lecturer careers at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta of 0.669 which is included in the strong category, this is indicated by the coefficient of determination of 44.1% and the remaining 55.9% is determined by other factors

Effective communication is the backbone of all human interactions, especially in service contexts like libraries. This article explores how good and effective communication improves library services, focusing on a case study at the Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo Library. Through qualitative descriptive research methods that include observation, interviews, and documentation, the results show the crucial role of effective communication in improving service standards at the Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo Library, considering theories, especially Diniaty's approach, namely the importance of communication in changing user attitudes and behavior. Good communication between librarians and users, especially in rule enforcement, significantly improves compliance with regulations. Apart from that, the dedication of librarians to providing optimal service solutions, in line with the Wijayanti concept, is further strengthened by effective communication in managing services in the library. Recommendations for improving service quality include expanding efforts to strengthen effective communication among all library stakeholders through training and developing communication skills for staff, which is expected to create a better communication environment and, in turn, improve user experience in using library services.Komunikasi merupakan proses penyampaian pesan atau informasi dari pihak satu ke pihak lainnya. Dalam bentuk pelayanan, komunikasi menjadi salah satu hal penting untuk dikembangkan. Bentuk komunikasi yang harus diterapkan yaitu komunikasi yang baik dan efektif. Artikel ini dibuat bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pentingnya sebuah komunikasi yang efektif dalam hal mengelola dan meningkatkan pelayanan di perpustakaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan juga studi kasus. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi yang terbentuk di Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, sudah cukup efektif dalam pelayanannya. Informasi yang disampaikan oleh pustakawan kepada pemustaka sudah dapat diterima dan dipahami dengan baik. Bahkan komunikasi yang terjalin antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka dapat menyelesaikan beberapa masalah yang dikeluhkan oleh pemustaka. Layanan perpustakaan ini juga semakin meningkat ketika antar pustakawan dapat menjalin komunikasi yang mengarah pada satu tujuan yang sama di dalam Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo
Optimalisasi pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan melalui pendidikan pemakai di perpustakaan Pusat UIN Maulana ?Malik Ibrahim Malang
This article discusses the importance of user education in optimizing the use of library services, especially in higher education. The objectives, levels, and evaluation of user education programs are described in detail. The obstacles in integrating this program into the curriculum are also discussed. A case study at the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Central Library shows the positive impact of user education on improving library services, including increasing the number of visitors and book loans. In conclusion, user education is a strategic program to increase user independence in utilizing library resources optimally.Artikel ini membahas pentingnya pendidikan pemakai dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan, khususnya di perguruan tinggi. Tujuan, tingkatan, dan evaluasi program pendidikan pemakai diuraikan secara rinci. Kendala dalam mengintegrasikan program ini ke dalam kurikulum juga dibahas. Studi kasus di Perpustakaan Pusat UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim menunjukkan dampak positif pendidikan pemakai terhadap peningkatan layanan perpustakaan, termasuk peningkatan jumlah pengunjung dan peminjaman buku. Analisis Implementasi SLiMS di Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen menggunakan model kesuksesan sistem informasi Delone Mclean
SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen has used SLiMS as its library automation system for almost 12 years. At first the use of SLiMS was not running optimally, in 2017 it was re-optimized and finally in April 2022 SLiMS was updated to the latest version, namely SLiMS 9 Bulian. The use of SLiMS helps the collection processing process and also the circulation process to be easier, but there has never been an evaluation in the process of using SLiMS at the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen. The importance of evaluating the use of a system in an organization is the basis for conducting this research. This research was conducted to analyze the use of SLiMS in the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen and find out its shortcomings as evaluation material. The research was conducted using 3 variables from the Delone Mclean information system success model, namely system quality, information quality and user satisfaction with a total of 11 indicators. The research method used was a quantitative method with a total of 93 respondents. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis by calculating average and determine the mode using the help of SPSS software. Based on the analysis, it was found that the average of 3 variables used were in the high category, namely system quality (3.98), information quality (4) and user satisfaction (4.09) with data mode 4. At the end of the questionnaire, essay questions were added regarding user opinion on the use of SLiMS. The results of the answers show that the majority of users are satisfied with the use of SLiMS, but there are still some drawbacks, namely the lack of e-book collections, feature search which sometimes doesn't work properly and the difficulty of operating the system the first time you access it.
 
Preservasi preventif arsip dinamis inaktif di Record Center Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Padjadjaran
Archives are records that contain events and scientific knowledge. Archives are divided into two based on their function, namely dynamic archives and static archives. In its management, there are factors that can damage archives, so preventive preservation is needed so that archives can be used intact and for a long time. The Record Center as a place for managing inactive dynamic archives needs to carry out preventive preservation. This preventive preservation research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and literature study. Based on data obtained in the field, factors that can damage archives include physical, biological, and storage errors. To minimize the occurrence of damage caused by these factors, it is necessary to carry out camperization efforts, physical maintenance of archives, improvement of the quality of human resources, appropriate infrastructure, and adequate storage space
Optimizing librarian performance in improving the efficiency and quality of library services
Libraries, as educational institutions and information centers, are essential in providing efficient and quality services to their users. Librarians' performance is a crucial factor in achieving these goals. This study aims to optimize the performance of librarians to improve the efficiency and quality of library services. They use a qualitative approach with data collection through various sources, including documentation, interviews, and observations. The collected data is analyzed through three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, then drawing data conclusions to identify factors that affect librarian performance and analyze the implications with the efficiency and quality of library services. The results showed that several factors can affect the performance of librarians. These factors include librarians' knowledge and skills, management support, use of information technology, collaboration between librarians, and work motivation. This research also identifies several strategies that can be applied to improve the performance of librarians, including training and development, improved communication, and cooperation between librarians. By optimizing librarian performance by implementing appropriate strategies, libraries can achieve higher operational efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to users. The results of this research can guide libraries in developing policies and programs to improve librarian performance and the efficiency and overall quality of library services
Pelaksanaan user education sebagai upaya promosi perpustakaan pada UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe
The library is a service unit that becomes a source of information that has great power because it covers a variety of science ranging from economics, politics, art, health and other sciences. As we know that the library is important for us to introduce to the community, especially to students or students who are very necessary to support the education that is being pursued. One way that can be done to introduce the library is to hold a library promotion ucer education program created by the library to bridge between the library and its library and as one way or strategy to promote the library. This article discusses the implementation of ucer education in upt malikussaleh university library using lecture methods, audio / videovisual, demonstrations or demonstrations and also the library playbook. The obstacle faced is still the lack of librarian knowledge about the importance of ucer education activities in the library and also constrained at the time and location. Efforts that can be done is to provide an understanding of the importance of the implementation of ucer education in the library to library personnel and librarians in the library and should ucer education also be done online
Pemetaan bibliometrik dengan aplikasi Vosviewer terhadap perkembangan penelitian bidang pertanian di Indonesia
This study is aimed at mapping the development of agricultural research in Indonesia. The data collected by searching through Scopus database using agricultural and Indonesia keywords. Data was analyzed descriptively by year of publication, names and countries of institutions, journal names, authors’ productivity, and research subjects. To map the development of the research, data was exported to Comma Separated Values (CSV) format. The exported data was analyzed by using VOSViewer to figure out bibliometrical mapping of agricultural research in Indonesia. Results showed that the number of agricultural research indexed in Scopus during 1995 to 2015 was increasing significantly with the most number found in the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies. The Agricultural Institute of Bogor has the most number of articles indexed in Scopus. The most productive foreign authors with the most number of articles on agricultural research in Indonesia is Tscharntke. Local authors with the most articles are Parikesit and Buchori. The most frequent countries involved in collaborative research on Indonesian agriculture are the US, Australia, and Japan. Agricultural and Biological Sciences are the most frequent subjects. Network visualization showed that the development of agricultural research in Indonesia can be grouped into three clusters: first cluster with 149 topics, second cluster with 105 topics, and third cluster with 48 topics
Analisis tipe kepemimpinan profetik Kepala Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta
Head of the Library of Muhammadiyah University (UMY), as well as the author of books about library management, namely Lasa H.S. is a teacher, father, and role model for future librarians. His peak career as the main librarian became his extraordinary dedication at the Library of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta. Lasa H.S.'s motivational quotes namely "If you want to know the world then read and if you want to be known by the world then write". After his retirement at UGM, he was asked by UMY to become a Captain at the UGM Library. Armed with his experience while serving at the UGM Library, he got the mandate to be the Head of the UMY Library for three periods. The focus of this research is on the type of leadership of the Head of the UMY Library. The types of prophetic leadership include authoritarian leadership, Laissez Faire leadership, and democratic leadership. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using data from interviews, literature studies and documentation. The informants of this study were the head of the UMY library and librarian. The result of this research is that Lasa H.S. in carrying out his leadership duties at the UGM library, he is a type of prophetic leadership based on Islam and guided by the Koran and Hadith. This prophetic leadership is included in situational leadership theory, which combines several leadership models, namely: authoritarian, laissez faire, and democratic
