EXPLORING EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN DIFFERENT CONTEXT: A SENSITIVE APPROACH

The heated debate that has been going on for several years now on issues related to the inclusive process in schools is the background from which the idea of this contribution starts and develops. A truly inclusive school must aim to remove all those obstacles that may limit each pupil's opportunity to develop to his or her fullest potential and the place where cultural diversity can best develop, enhancing the socio-emotional development of culturally diverse learners. The approach to inclusive education must take into account not only traditional special educational needs categories (Ghedin, 2021), but also the unique challenges arising from socio-cultural contexts. The focus is on the basic principles of school inclusiveness, the benefits it brings, the challenges it can present and strategies for creating authentically inclusive educational environments (Cottini, 2018). Through a thoughtful and conscious approach, with the design of flexible and inclusive educational and training pathways that give voice and recognition to differences, it is possible to transform school educational institutions into places of learning that reflect human diversity and promote a more equitable and inclusive future (de Anna & Covelli 2021). In it, in fact, it is possible to promote practices aimed at the valorisation of divergent and unactual points of view, in which the tension of difference constitutes the horizon of meaning to be pursued for a democratically oriented society. The valorisation of disability is one of the interventions planned in the NRP in an absolutely transversal manner

In Italy, although the ferment over dual careers is ongoing, there is still no full awareness of the problems associated with the development of a dual career on the part of student-athletes, who are faced with a series of critical issues that in some cases entail the risk of drop-out either from the sporting circuit or from the school circuit. At the academic level, the fervor translates into a series of speculations in favor of real inclusion of student athletes and attention to their educational needs. In this wake is the Erasmus + Clouds Based Education for Creative Sport Talent Project, which aims to prevent dropouts and promote a dual career culture. The first action of the project involved conducting desk research to survey and analyse existing dual career programmes in order to identify best practices. This paper reports on the validation process of the tools used to conduct the desk research and the analysis of dual career programmes in Italy

The increasing episodes of Bullying and Cyberbullying that see pre-adolescents and adolescents as victims, impose themselves on the school as a concrete educational emergency. In the Italian school context, the various strategies aimed at dealing with the phenomenon of Bullying and Cyberbullying have been implemented through numerous projects oriented to promote legality. However, few studies have investigated the role of Physical Activity in counteracting this phenomenon. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to provide strategies aimed at identifying and preventing psychological or social problems, encouraging the acquisition of positive lifestyles, precisely through the enhancement of play and sport as moments of socialization, learning and integration. The results of this study indicated that Physical Activity plays a mediating role between improving the emotional climate in the classroom and the acquisition of social skills and abilities in student

EXPLORING ONE’S EMOTIONS: THE POTENTIAL OF CHATBOTS FOR TEACHER EMOTIONAL EDUCATION

Emotional intelligence is defined as a multidimensionalconstruct and corresponds to the ability to recognise, understand, manage and influence one's own emotions andthose of others effectively. In literature, it has been found thata teacher's emotional intelligence is a correlated or predictivefactor of work and school success, personal well-being, selfefficacy, stress management and student outcomes. Inparticular, there is more evidence of increased teacher burnoutwhen working in classrooms with pupils with specialeducational needs. The research aims to explore the potentialof the educational use of chatbots. Thanks to their intrinsiccharacteristics linked to accessibility, customization andimmediate feedback, these could represent useful tools tosupport the teacher in the acquisition of knowledge andabilities regarding emotions, which would then favour thedevelopment of emotional intelligence and emotionaleducation in learners. Therefore, a longitudinal research projectinvolving the use of a chatbot to foster teacher emotionalliteracy will be presented

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) AND TEACHING: BEYOND THE ‘SPONTANEOUS EPISTEMOLOGY’. A SURVEY AMONG UNIVERSITY TEACHER

    No full text
In educational methods, is there an epistemologically aware conception, rather than merely empirical or spontaneous, among university teachers regarding the use of AI to enhance learning processes? The study on 118 Univaq teachers - examining their beliefs and applications in teaching - reveals intriguingly contradictory results (such as anthropomorphic attributions towards functions, inadequate prerequisites for prompt formulation, etc.). This underscores the necessity for a systematic reflection on the epistemology of educational practice mediated by AI
