TEACHING THE ABILITY OF “KNOWING HOW TO GET BY IN THE KITCHEN” TO KIDS WITH ASD BY CONSULTING RECIPES FROM “SVUOTAFRIGO” APP
“Knowing how to get” by in order to develop daily life activities (ADL) for individuals with autistic spectrum disorders, would teach them to handle any inconvenience of everyday life. All of this stems from a question that every neuro-convergent has to face daily: What we are going to eat for lunch?. When we have a selective amount of food in our fridge and we don’t know enough recipes to make, “Svuotafrigo” app brings help to everyone. In this way, we have sperimented with 4 young people affected by autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), between the age of 18 and 22, the use of “Svuotafrigo” app, provided with total tasking chaining (TTC), to assist them experimenting a problem solving way for the questions of everyday life. Everyone of them has been previously selected based on the same basic prerequisites and on the same functioning ways
FOR A PERSONALISED LEARNING EXPERIENCE. THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION
The human thought exists in a situation of emotional predisposition, defined by Heidegger as a fundamental emotional state. Artificial intelligence aims at calculation for which any emotional intrusion is a hindrance. The contribution aims to provide a pedagogical and didactic reading aimed at reflecting on the possible contribution of human intelligence, capable of creativity, and artificial intelligence inspired to human brain activity, to the learning personalisation in educational contexts
A.T.E.N.A.: ENHANCING CHILD LEARNING THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATIONAL TOOL DESIGN TO BOOST EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
The technological evolution that has affected education has sparked growing interest in comparing artificial intelligence (AI) and emotional intelligence (EI) in the educational field. In this context, the A.T.E.N.A. project explores the use of Augmented Reality (AR) as an integration of conventional teaching in a primary school class, analysing how the EI of the child or the class group may be influenced by this methodology. The code used in the project for accessing AR, enhanced by AI, has optimized the learning experience by integrating innovative and interactive elements. Therefore, it aims to demonstrate the need to find a synergistic balance in the development of educational offerings between the importance of the human aspect for conveying the educational relationship and the use of the artificial aspect to optimize teaching
CAREER GUIDANCE ACTIVITY AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING
Career counselors are now increasingly important in Italy due to the uncertainties related to the labor market today. This professional figure is capable of building a pathway of self-knowledge and insertion in the social, economic and cultural context of reference, together with the person concerned. In recent years, storytelling is acquiring new ground within both training and guidance. Stories can be used to activate both individual and group discussion and reflection in relation to certain strategic dimensions of orientation. Finally, storytelling can increase youth empowerment and enhance certain strategic dimensions such as decision-making self-efficacy, particularly using new information and communication technologies through digital storytelling.
THE POTENTIAL OF GAIT ANALYSIS: HOW AI CAN AID IN EXAMINING HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY TO MAINTAINING HOMEOSTASIS
Walking is a marvel of adaptability in healthy humans. It follows the 'golden ratio' and adjusts to specific demands. Artificial intelligence provides a world of possibilities for gait analysis. The utilized system incorporates 29 sensors, 6 acquisition chambers, and dynamic rhythm sensors. This tool assesses movement harmony and identifies pathology. Its diverse uses include rehabilitation, motor and non-motor re-education, and primary education, hinting at its vast potential
EMOTION RECOGNITION AND VIRTUAL REALITY: CHALLENGES AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR TREACHERS AND EDUCATORS.
EnglishThe aim of this essay is to investigate how artificial intelligence and traditional didactics can interact with each other to create a more inclusive learning environment which is more sensitive to emotional students’ needs. In this perspective, the use of virtual reality as emotion recognition training can be a valuable tool for teacher to enhance their teaching strategies by capturing the emotional state of their students in order to improve the emotional interaction in educational contexts.
ENHANCING INCLUSIVE PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
The inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in physical education (EF) is crucial for physical, cognitive, and social development. However, persistent challenges, from teachers' attitudes to cultural differences, hinder inclusion. The importance of inclusive EF programs that enhance both the cognitive development and social integration of students with SEN is clear. Supporting social integration through physical activity is important, as is promoting a positive and motivating climate for inclusion. The goal of this research is to integrate motor, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects into program design to create an inclusive learning environment
AI EDUCATIONAL TOOLS AND BUSINESS SCHOOLS: A WEBSITES’ CONCEPTUAL CONTENT ANALYSIS
The literature presents limited studies regarding the use of AI tools in the classroom. Through a conceptual content analysis carried out on the websites content of the top 100 BSs in the world, the present study intended to detect the implementation of AI tools in the classroom; the pedagogical approaches and training offered to instructors for its use. Only 6 websites out of 100 contained relevant information for the coding purpose and provided an answer to the research questions posed
AI AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING IN TEACHING. CULTIVATING WELL-BEING THROUGH THE USE OF AI-BASED MINDFULNESS FOR ITALIAN STUDENTS
