    MAKE A MATCH LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE SOCIAL STUDIES LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS V STUDENTS OF SD KARTIKA XIII-1 AMBON

    The aim of this study research is to determine the application of the Make a Match type cooperative learning model to improve social studies learning outcomes regarding geographical conditions in Indonesia for class V students at SD Kartika XIII-1 Ambon. This research use a type of classroom action research. Researcher conducted an initial test to obtain information on the extent of student abilities in mastering the learning material. The average score of students initial test results was 33, 37%. This shows that class V students at SD Kartika XIII-1 Ambon have not yet reached the specified minimum completeness criteria (KKM). In general, the average class score for student in cycle I was 53, 38% and the average for the final test in cycle test was 81, 75%. The application of make a match type cooperative learning model to improve student cognitive learning outcomes has shown an increase in each cycle. This can be seen from the level of student in improving learning outcomes through tests given at the end of each cycle

    DEVELOPMENT OF ONLINE - BASED BEGINNER JOURNALISM LEARNING MODULES

    The aim of developing an online-based journalism training module is to determine the effectiveness of using the module to improve online news writing skills. The research uses the Dick and Carey model. The target of the research was a small group of 7 journalists, and a large group of 15 journalists. Test targets for novice journalists on the Tribunjambi.com portal. The results of the small group test stated that it was good 50. Very good 48 and quite good 7. It was concluded that the module helped journalists write online news. In the large group test, the most statements were very good, there were 195. 26 statements were good and 4 statements were quite good. There are visible differences in the results of the small and large group choices. The results of small group tests are often selected as good statements. The results of the large group test after the revision of the module stated that many people chose very good. This means that the results of this trial after the module was revised were at a very good level, because 87 percent of the training participants chose statements in the very good category

    AN ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION TOWARD ENGLISH LEARNING IN ONLINE CLASSES

    The purpose of this research is to describe the students’ motivation toward English learning in online classes and investigate the types of motivation of the students. The data in this study were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The participants in this study were 125 students of the English Language Education Study Program, Universitas Tanjungpura, batch 2020 and 2021, REG A and PPAPK class. The research findings revealed, that most of the students of the English Language Education Study Program, Universitas Tanjungpura, batch 2020 and 2021 have a high level of motivation toward English learning in online classes on both types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic. The research findings showed that 94% of students are categorized as students with a high level of motivation, and the other 6% are categorized as students with a low level of motivation. Specifically, students are more extrinsically motivated than intrinsically with a total mean score for extrinsic motivation is 2.95 and for intrinsic motivation is 2.57. Several factors were found to influence students to have extrinsic and intrinsic motivation such as cost-effectiveness, accessibility, environment, career, facility, confidence, personal enjoyment, need, and preference. The findings of this research suggest pedagogical implications

    DEVELOPMENT OF A STUDENT WORKSHEET ON MEGIBUNG TRADITION MATERIAL BASED ON PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN THE CULINARY ARTS VOCATIONAL EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM

    This research aims to describe the student responses to the developed Student Worksheets on Megibung Tradition material in the Balinese Culinary course. It employs a type of development research intended to develop Student Worksheets for Balinese Culinary courses. The subjects of this study were third-semester students of Culinary Arts Vocational Education FTK Undiksha. The selection of these subjects is based on the urgency of providing Balinese Culinary teaching materials, researchers’ role as lecturers, and research respondents. This research instrument is an assessment format consisting of aspects related to (1) material/concept, (2) construction, and (3) technical elements. The results showed that: (1) there are two stages in developing Student Worksheets, namely the preparation stage and the development stage. (2) A feasibility analysis indicated that the use of Student Worksheets with a project-based learning approach is suitable for learning and can enhance student creativity, specifically in the Balinese Culinary course for the ability to serve food with Megibung. (3) After making improvements based on expert validation, student response measurements were taken as users of this Student Worksheet. In general, the results of the student response questionnaire were summarized as follows: 75% of students rated this Student Worksheet as good, 10% gave a moderate response, and 10% gave a very good response

    IDENTIFICATION OF BEGINNING READING DIFFICULTIES IN CLASS II PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

    This research aims to determine: 1) the difficulties faced by students in beginning reading, 2) teachers' efforts to overcome students' beginning reading difficulties, and 3) factors that cause difficulties in beginning reading. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The research subjects were 14 students in class II of SD Inpres Bumi Sagu. Data was collected using observation, interviews and document study techniques. The data analysis used is data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this research show that the difficulties experienced by students in beginning reading are that they do not know letters, are slow in reading, students cannot yet read, letters and words are often confused, and have difficulty spelling. The factors that cause students to experience difficulty in reading at the beginning are internal factors which include the child's psychology and external factors, namely the family environment and the learning environment at school. The teacher's efforts to overcome this problem are by applying the EGRA teaching method, spelling method, sound method (phonic), syllabic method (silabel) and the method of the word institution

    INTERACTIVE E-MODULES ASSISTED BY GOOGLE SITES IN EFL: ITS EFFECT ON STUDENTS' CRITICAL THINKING AND LEARNING ENGAGEMENT

    This study explores how interactive e-modules utilizing Google Sites affect high school students' critical thinking and involvement in EFL classrooms. Using a mixed-methods approach, it compares an experimental group utilizing e-modules to a control group that uses textbooks. The results revealed considerable gains in critical thinking and engagement in the experimental group. Qualitative evidence showed that these students were more engaged and collaborative. The study indicates that interactive e-modules may assist in creating a more dynamic learning environment, and it recommends integrating them into teaching techniques and investing in appropriate technology. Future studies ought to investigate the long-term impacts of these instruments

    THE INFLUENCE OF CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE TEACHING ON THE CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY IN GRADE IV STUDENTS OF MIS YMPI TANJUNG BALAI

    This study aims to determine the influence of the culturally responsive teaching (CRT) approach on the critical thinking ability of fourth grade students in theme 8, subtheme 2, lesson 3 at MIS YMPI Tanjung Balai for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research uses a quasi experimental method, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The population and sample consist of 44 students with class IV A as the experimental class (21 students) and clas IV B as the control class (23 students). The data collection technique used is a critical thinking skills test, adapted to the students cognitive level according to Bloom’s Taxonomy (C4-C6). The data analysis technique employed is the independent sample t-test to determine whether there is an effect of using the culturally responsive teaching (CRT) approach on students critical thinking ability. Based on the research results, the average score for the experimental class was 81,13 while the control class average 65,40 as evidenced by the students post test results. Hypothesis testing showed a Sig. (2-tailed) result of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that Ha is accepted, and H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant influence of culturally responsive teaching (CRT) on the critical thinking ability of fourth grade students at MIS YMPI Tanjung Balai

This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing literature review to examine the implementation and outcomes of critical pedagogy in various educational contexts The study findings reveal that critical pedagogy serves as a powerful tool for challenging societal norms, empowering marginalized individuals, and promoting social justice within educational settings. Through student-centered learning, collaborative problem-solving, and the development of 21st-century skills, critical pedagogy equips students with the tools and mindset necessary to critically evaluate their surroundings and take action to address oppressive conditions in society. Furthermore, the research highlights the pivotal role of teachers in facilitating critical inquiry, fostering dialogue, and promoting social justice within the classroom. By engaging in self-reflection and transformative practice, educators can create inclusive learning environments that empower students to become active agents in their education and advocates for positive change in society. he contribution of the results of this research to the development of the scientific field lies in providing insights into the practical application of critical pedagogy in classrooms, highlighting its capacity to equip students with critical thinking skills and a sense of agency to address oppressive conditions, thereby advancing the discourse on transformative education practices and social justice within educational contexts

    MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR BAHASA INDONESIA SISWA KELAS III A SD NEGERI TULANGAMPIANG

    Kelemahan-kelemahan pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran harus diupayakan lewat melakukan sebuah penelitian tindakan. Hal tersebut mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas III A di SD Negeri Tulangampiang pada semester I tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran sekaligus untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III A SD Negeri Tulangampiang Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Sedangkan objek penelitian adalah prestasi belajar bahasa Indonesia. Data prestasi belajar dikumpulkan melalui tes prestasi belajar dan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Kriteria keberhasilan: nilai rata-rata kelas minimal 75 dan ketuntasan secara klasikal minimal 85%. Data awalnya baru mencapai nilai 68,12 dengan ketuntasan belajar 45%, pada siklus I naik menjadi 79,36 dengan ketuntasan belajar 76%, dan pada siklus II naik menjadi 88,21 dengan ketuntasan belajar mereka sudah tercapai 97%. Data pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan yang diharapkan telah tercapai bahkan telah melebihi indikator keberhasilan penelitian penelitian yang diusulkan. Dengan demikian peneliti berkesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III A SD Negeri Tulangampiang Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Weaknesses in the implementation of the learning process must be pursued through conducting an action research. This prompted researchers to conduct classroom action research. Research conducted in class III A at Tulangampiang Public Elementary School in semester I of the 2019/2020 academic year aims to improve the learning process as well as to increase student achievement. The research subjects were students of class III A of SD Negeri Tulangampiang Semester I of the 2019/2020 Academic Year. While the object of research is the achievement of learning Indonesian. Learning achievement data were collected through learning achievement tests and then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Criteria for success: a minimum grade point average of 75 and a minimum of 85% classical completeness. The initial data only reached a score of 68.12 with 45% mastery learning, in cycle I it rose to 79.36 with 76% mastery, and in cycle II it rose to 88.21 with 97% of their learning mastery. Data in cycle II shows that the expected success has been achieved and has even exceeded the success indicators of the proposed research study. Thus the researchers concluded that the jigsaw type cooperative learning model that was applied in the learning process was able to improve the learning achievement of Indonesian language students in class III A of SD Negeri Tulangampiang Semester I of the 2019/2020 Academic Year

    COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT ON RESPIRATORY SYSTEM LESSON TO INCREASE THE STUDENTS LEARNING ACTIVENESS

    This study aimed to determine implementation of cooperative learning of the Teams Games Tournament type on respiratory system lesson to the students learning activeness of class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara. The type of this research was classroom action research. The dependent research variable was learning activeness using an observation sheet in the form of a questionnaire. The data were analysed using quantitative descriptive data analysis with proportions. The results of this study indicated that in the implementation of the first cycle, the average achievement of student activeness was 63.48%. During the implementation of cycle II, the average student activeness achievement increased by 19.41% from cycle I to 82.89%. In cycle II, 38 students got very active and 7 students got active. Thus, it could be interpreted that applying the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type could increase student learning activeness in class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara especially on respiratory system lesson
