No full textSecularisms: Negotiating boundaries between the religious and the secular is a Finnish-language edited volume that explores the multiplicity of secularisms in both past and present from a global perspective. The twelve authors represent five different disciplines: the study of religion, anthropology, theology, church history, and political history. The volume is divided into four parts, each united by a common theme. The first part focuses on concepts related to secularism and the roots of secularist thought in Christianity. The second part discusses the different histories of state secularisms through cases of the Soviet Union, Turkey, and Indonesia. The third part examines how religion is portrayed in the Finnish public sphere, with cases on women’s spirituality and debates within the peace movement. The fourth and final part focuses on the legacy of secularist colonial policies in the Global South, with examples from Madagascar, Ghana, and Brazil

The Conference aims to place at the center of the discussion an interpretation of the concept of research that, without neglecting an idea of study, protection, and enhancement of environmental and cultural heritage, focuses on the needs of contemporary society and its possible developments, making use of innovative theoretical, methodological, and operational activities, including those characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. Peritoneal Dialysis in the Modern Era
No full textPeritoneal dialysis, which is part of integrated renal care that includes kidney transplantation and hemodialysis, is a home-based therapy with multiple benefits over those of hemodialysis. These benefits include preservation of residual kidney function, preservation of vascular access, lower risk of infection and bleeding, better early years survival rate, a better bridge for kidney transplantation, and higher satisfaction level of patients with improved quality of life. Over the past 20 years, peritoneal dialysis treatment has witnessed significant improvements in peritoneal dialysis solutions, cyclers, and remote patient management, among others. Despite these advances, the peritoneal dialysis penetration rate remains low globally. This is due to multiple factors, including lack of or inadequate training of healthcare professionals. The book Peritoneal Dialysis in the Modern Era represents an update on selected and important theoretical and practical aspects of peritoneal dialysis therapy. It contains elegantly written chapters by distinguished and experienced authors. These include the quality of life on peritoneal dialysis, peritoneal dialysis in the pediatric age group, and the impact of green dialysis. No full textDas Buch Autorität und Autonomie in der Pädagogik – Eine frameanalytische Betrachtungsweise bietet eine umfassende Darstellung der Methodologie der Erziehungswissenschaftlichen Frameanalyse. Exemplarisch wird diese auf den Fachdiskurs zu Antinomien im Lehrberuf angewendet. Ziel ist die Untersuchung des professionsspezifischen Spracherwerbs von Lehramtsstudierenden und die Etablierung "professionsspezifischer Frames" und deren Prägung durch den Fachdiskurs. Die Forschung nutzt computergestützte Techniken, um berufliche Diskurse zu analysieren und charakteristische Sprech- und Denkweisen sichtbar zu machen. Im Fokus stehen die Antinomien pädagogischer Prozesse, insbesondere die Spannung zwischen Autorität und Autonomie. Dabei wird das Praxisfeld von Lehrpersonen als von Paradoxien geprägt beschrieben und methodisch beleuchtet. Mit der Entwicklung einer frameanalytischen Professionstheorie schlägt das Buch u.a. ein innovatives Modell für die Lehrer*innenbildung vor
