Spatial-Temporal Evolution of Mining-Induced Rock Damage and Ground Control of Roadways

    No full text
This open access book presents the Coal remains the primary energy source in China, with an estimated total coal reserve of 59 trillion tons at depths of less than 2000 meters. Among these, over 50% lie at depths exceeding 1000 meters, primarily distributed in central and eastern China. Deep coal mining has become the new norm for the coal industry’s development and resource exploitation. To ensure energy supply for the rapid economic development of central and eastern regions, mining coal resources from depths of over 1000 meters is inevitable. This endeavor holds significant strategic importance for safeguarding national energy security and supporting regional economic growth. However, mining-induced hazards, such as rock bursts, water inrushes, and roof collapses, continue to occur frequently in both local and state-owned coal mines. These incidents pose severe threats to the safety of coal production, tarnish the reputation of China's mining industry, and hinder its development. Therefore, advancing mining engineering—especially the theories of major accident prediction and control—is essential. A deeper understanding of the dynamic processes underlying mining-induced pressure and strata movement is necessary. Promoting safe and efficient coal mining through informed decision-making and management supported by scientific, quantitative methods is a critical and urgent task. Achieving informatization, intelligence, and visualization in mining operations will be key to fundamentally addressing the current safety challenges in China's mining industry. In recent years, the author and their team have conducted in-depth studies on models of dynamic disasters and surrounding rock control in deep mines, supported by projects under the National Basic Research Program (973 Program), the National Key R&D Program, as well as talent and general research funds and specialized consultancy projects from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The main research focuses include constructing spatial structural models of overlying strata in mining areas, analyzing the spatiotemporal evolution of mining-induced stress, and developing proactive control technologies for dynamic disasters in mining areas. This book aims to provide foundational insights into the occurrence and control of major mining accidents. It proposes a decision-making framework for predicting and managing such disasters by controlling the movement of surrounding rock and stress conditions induced by mining. These efforts are expected to provide a reference for advancing research in related fields

Un análisis de la definición del estado peruano a base de la constitución de 1860

    No full text
The conception of the Peruvian State based on the Constitution of 1860 is analyzed taking into account the type of government, territory, elections, powers, established rights and functions. The legal methodology was used, using sources of law such as doctrine and legislation, to establish a coherent and systematic framework in the study. According to the Constitution of 1860, the Peruvian State was defined as the political association of all Peruvians, with a republican, representative, democratic and unitary government. Its goal was to protect the Catholic religion and guarantee free primary education. The Constitution also established national sovereignty and the separation of powers as fundamental elements. We believe that when analyzing this definition of the State, favorable and unfavorable aspects are identified, which indicates that it would not be appropriate for today. However, it is recognized that in its historical context it accurately reflected the sociopolitical principles and characteristics of the time.

    No full text
This habilitation thesis undertakes a rigorous examination of the literary-theoretical dimensions of children's and young adult literature, with the objective of contributing to its theoretical and aesthetic discourse. At the core of this investigation lie two principal hypotheses. First, it is asserted that the persistent dialectic between heteronomous and autonomous aesthetic positions not only constitutes a foundational tension within children's and young adult literary studies but has also been instrumental in shaping both the historical trajectory and contemporary evolution of the genre. Second, the development of children's and young adult literature may be conceptualized as a continuous oscillation between the poles of aesthetic autonomy and heteronomy, reflecting broader shifts in literary, cultural, and ideological paradigms. Employing a comparative methodological framework, this study engages with an array of international children's and young adult literary texts published in the 21st century. The selection encompasses diverse textual forms and thematic orientations, including psychological fiction, cultural-ecological narratives, crime literature, and historical fiction. This corpus serves as the foundation for an in-depth exploration of the dynamic interplay between aesthetic imperatives and extraliterary determinants in contemporary children's and young adult literature, elucidating the ways in which these works navigate the dialectic between artistic self-determination and external sociocultural forces

    No full text
This book provides a comprehensive history of music and liturgy at Worcester Cathedral, from its foundation in the seventh century to the mid-20th century. The author delves into how political shifts, public opinion, and national trends have influenced changes in the cathedral's practices over time, while also highlighting the distinct local dynamics at play. The book captures the fluctuating significance of liturgy and music across different eras, from the strict, ritualistic practices of Benedictine monks to the rejection of ceremonial traditions by Interregnum Non-Conformists. It traces how the form of worship evolved in response to the beliefs of church leaders, leading to periods of decline and revival in the cathedral’s musical standards. Notably, the study explores Worcester’s role in the development of British polyphony up to the 14th century and the comforting role of the choir during World War I. With a wealth of surviving Anglo-Saxon charters, medieval liturgical manuscripts, and unique polyphonic fragments, this volume offers rare insights into centuries-old practices. While it focuses on Worcester, the study reflects broader trends in English cathedral history, providing a vital resource for understanding the interplay of music, religion, and politics in the evolution of worship
