No full textA carol is an integral part of Christmas season. For ages it has played not only a religious role but also it united Polish people during coutry partitions. Nowadays a carol often leaveschurch’s walls and exists in secular public space. It is hard to imagine any Christmas meetings organised by various secular institutions without carol singing or carols being played in the background. Its presence creates a special atmosphere, so special for Christmmas, which reminds us of our family home,childhood, peace and safety. The article is about carols, carols in Poland and carols in 19 century church song-books. The song-book Szczeble do nieba by Teofil Tomasz Klonowski is described in more detail. Analyses refers to the life of the author, his musical work as well as carols contained in his song-book. Get PDFBefore the Covid-19 pandemic, the labour market was characterized by a widening labour shortage. Large qualification mismatches occurred resulting in a situation in which a growing number of job offers was insufficient to absorb the most of the registered unemployment. The present perspectives indicate that the number of careers where it is difficult to recruit employees will decrease. The situation in many specializations will deteriorate, however, the market should be absorbent enough with respect to a majority of professions so as to enable people who are willing to work and have appropriate qualifications to find employment. This is a review article. It aims to present how important professional qualifications are in every person’s life and how essential it is to adapt qualifications of the unemployed, jobseekers and employees to meet labour market needs. The study renders an account of selected activities with regard to continuing education taken both at the national and European levels.Przed pandemią Covid-19 rynek pracy charakteryzował się pogłębiającym deficytem pracowników. Występowały duże niedopasowania kwalifikacji, które powodowały, że rosnąca liczba ofert pracy była niewystarczająca, by wchłonąć większą część rejestrowanego bezrobocia. Obecne perspektywy wskazują na to, że zmniejszy się liczba zawodów, w których występują problemy z rekrutacją pracowników. Sytuacja w wielu specjalizacjach ulegnie pogorszeniu, jednak w większości zawodów rynek powinien być na tyle chłonny, aby osoby chętne do pracy i posiadające odpowiednie kwalifikacje mogły znaleźć zatrudnienie. Prezentowany artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy. Jego celem jest ukazanie, jak ważne są kwalifikacje zawodowe w życiu każdej osoby i jak istotne jest dostosowanie kwalifikacji osób bezrobotnych, poszukujących pracy i pracowników do potrzeb rynku pracy. Get PDFThe aim of the article is to analyse certain aspects of three categories: work, employment, employability in view of the problems and tasks of work pedagogy and to seek answers to three fundamental questions. The first is the question: does work and employment mean the same thing? The second question is why preparing a person for employment is the task of modern work pedagogy. The third question concerns employability: why should employability be considered as the best test of the value of apprenticeships? The research method used for the study is the analysis and critical evaluation of the literature of the subject. The article is descriptive and introduces to the discussion of the basic categories of pedagogy of work embedded in changing reality: human work, employment, employability.Celem artykułu jest analiza niektórych aspektów trzech kategorii: pracy, zatrudnienia, zatrudnialności w perspektywie problemów i zadań pedagogiki pracy oraz poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na trzy zasadnicze pytania. Pierwsze z nich to pytanie: czy praca i zatrudnienie oznacza to samo? Drugie pytanie brzmi: dlaczego zadaniem współczesnej pedagogiki pracy jest przygotowanie człowieka do zatrudnienia? Z kolei trzecie pytanie dotyczy zatrudnialności: dlaczego za najlepszy sprawdzian wartości przygotowania zawodowego uznać można zatrudnialność? Tea tourism - preliminary study on familiarity with and interest in tea tourism
Get PDFThe paper tackles the idea of tea tourism which is motivated by an interest of tourists in the history, traditions and consumption of tea. This paper aims to determine the level of familiarity with and interest in tea tourism among respondents. The field in question is considered a niche form of culinary tourism, and thus, this work constitutes a pilot study. The research accounts for 215 correctly completed survey forms conducted among the customers of one of tea houses in Toruń, as well as members of a Facebook community who consider themselves gourmets and enthusiasts of drinking and celebrating tea. The study material was collected using a diagnostic survey method via the internet. The results of the surveys showed the respondents were interested in the idea of tea tourism. Respondents have never been offered tea tourism on the Polish market; however, they are willing to take part in a tea tourism event. They know many varieties of tea, have heard about ritual tea brewing, but they are not familiar with many attractions related to tea tourism. The obtained results, although preliminary in nature, may imply the plausibility of introducing and disseminating the idea of tea tourism among tea enthusiasts, and indicate a need for further research in this field

The paper attempts to define social activity, indicate the importance of such activity in the lives of women in late old age, and focuses on the factors determining involvement in this activity. Research was carried out in the qualitative paradigm with the use of focus interviews. The study group consisted of 10 women aged 75-89 years. The main research problem is contained in the question: What is the social activity of women in late old age?W artykule skoncentrowano się na aktywności społecznej kobiet w wieku 75‒89 lat. W tekście podjęto próbę określenia aktywności społecznej, wskazania na znaczenie tejże aktywności w życiu kobiet w okresie późnej starości oraz skoncentrowano się na czynnikach warunkujących zaangażowanie w tę aktywność. Badania przeprowadzono w paradygmacie jakościowym z wykorzystaniem wywiadu fokusowego. Badaną grupę stanowiło 10 kobiet w wieku 75‒89 lat. Główny problem badawczy został zawarty w pytaniu: Jak przedstawia się aktywność społeczna kobiet w okresie późnej starości

Get PDFThe paper aims to present changes in terms of the use of tourist accommodation establishments in Poland in 2020 as compared to the year preceding the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The authors focus primarily on the desk research method, analysing in detail the news releases presented by Statistics Poland (Central Statistical Office) in relation to the subject of the article. The authors obtained answers to the posed research questions. The main conclusion of the article is that the use of tourist accommodation facilities in Poland decreased drastically after the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which was most noticeable in voivodeships featuring high density of accommodation facilities

Get PDFThe article is a continuation of the considerations on the factors affecting the effectiveness of vocational education and training from the perspective of formal and legal changes. The article presents the results of the analysis of internal factors contributing to the increase in the effectiveness of vocational education and training and to preparing future graduates of vocational schools for entering the labour market. The analysis was made in the context of changes observed in vocational education and training in the years 2012‒2016, with taking into account the reform of the education system introduced on 1 September 2017.
Headteachers of vocational schools have a very important role to play, as they have been entrusted with encouraging employers to cooperate and actively participate in the education process. The headteachers’ resourcefulness, creativity, and innovative style of pedagogical supervision determine to a large extent the success of preparing students for employment in the labour market. Therefore, the method of exercising pedagogical supervision by headmasters forms a key factor affecting changes introduced to the school practice. The dynamics of successive reforms poses a challenge to each headteacher, and in particular to headteachers of vocational schools. Shaping the system of vocational education and training by adopting legal regulations gives raise to the following questions: How do vocational schools take care of preparing their graduates for entering the labour market? To what extent are vocational schools involved in the process of change?Artykuł jest kontynuacją rozważań na temat uwarunkowań efektywności procesu kształcenia zawodowego z perspektywy zmian formalnoprawnych. W artykule przedstawiono analizę wyników badań dotyczących czynników wewnętrznych, mających wpływ na zwiększenie efektywności kształcenia w zawodach oraz przygotowania absolwentów szkół zawodowych do rynku pracy. Analizę wykonano w kontekście przemian w edukacji zawodowej w latach 2012–2016 z uwzględnieniem wdrażanej od 1 września 2017 roku reformy systemu oświaty.
W szczególnej sytuacji są dyrektorzy szkół zawodowych, którzy mają dodatkowe zadania wynikające z pozyskiwania do procesu kształcenia i współpracy pracodawców. Od przedsiębiorczości, kreatywności, innowacyjności i stylu sprawowania nadzoru pedagogicznego przez dyrektora szkoły zależy w dużej mierze powodzenie, efektywność i skuteczność przygotowania ucznia do zatrudnienia na rynku pracy. Sposób sprawowania nadzoru pedagogicznego przez dyrektora szkoły jest kluczowym elementem wprowadzanych zmian do praktyki szkolnej. Dynamika pojawiania się kolejnych reform jest wyzwaniem dla każdego dyrektora, a w szczególności dyrektora szkoły zawodowej. Modelowanie systemu kształcenia zawodowego przez regulacje prawne skłania do kolejnego pytania: Jak szkoły zawodowe troszczą się o losy absolwentów w przygotowaniu ich do rynku pracy?
