Islamic instruction aims to help individuals understand and implement Islamic teachings while respecting religious diversity to promote national unity. Madrasah Diniyah Baitur Rohman Gempol, as a non-formal Islamic institution, selects new students annually to ensure quality education. However, the manual selection process makes class placement difficult, time-consuming, and less objective. To address this, a Decision Support System (DSS) is proposed to assist in class placement based on student selection test results. This study applies the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, which allows for a structured and systematic approach to complex decision-making. The system is designed to offer dynamic and flexible criteria settings managed by the admin. Compared to previous systems, this DSS provides enhanced features and more accurate calculations, resulting in better-informed decisions supported by reliable data
Helmet and License Plate Detection Using YOLOv8 in Parking Areas: Deteksi Penggunaan Helm dan Plat Nomor Menggunakan YOLOv8 di Area Parkir
The rise in traffic violations around school environments, especially by motorcyclists not wearing helmets or using non-standard license plates, is a critical issue requiring effective solutions. Manual monitoring is often limited in effectiveness and lacks real-time responsiveness. This study proposes an automated detection system using the YOLOv8 algorithm to identify helmet usage and license plates. Data were collected from 1920×1080-pixel CCTV cameras installed in the parking area of SMK YPM 8 Sidoarjo, using two acquisition methods: video capture and real-time streaming. The data were annotated, augmented, and trained using YOLOv8 on Google Colab. Results show that video capture achieved higher detection accuracy (70%) compared to real-time streaming (40%). The system can identify violations and display detection outcomes through a web interface. This tool supports traffic discipline monitoring in schools, offering a more efficient and effective alternative to manual observation

Comparison of Widal Test Result with Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) Test Result in Diagnosing Typhoid Fever: Perbandingan Hasil Pemeriksaan Widal dan Pemeriksaan Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) dalam Menegakkan Diagnosa Demam Tifoid
Typhoid fever is an infectious disease that is still common in developing countries, including Indonesia. Laboratory diagnosis often relies on the Widal test, which has limitations in detecting antibodies that can persist long after the infection has cleared, posing a risk of false positive or false negative results. As an alternative, the Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) method was developed to directly detect Salmonella typhi DNA with high sensitivity and specificity. The study design was descriptive analytical, involving 20 blood samples from patients at Aisyiyah Siti Fatimah General Hospital who had undergone the Widal test. The results showed 11 positive samples in LAMP and 9 negative samples. The Chi-square test yielded a p-value of 0.888 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant difference between the two methods. However, LAMP is superior in detecting active infections and could serve as a more accurate alternative method for diagnosing typhoid fever
