Operational and Environmental Optimization through Lean and Life Cycle Assessment in a Coal-Fired Power Plant: Optimasi Operasional dan Lingkungan melalui Lean dan Life Cycle Assesment di Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Batubara

    No full text
This study highlights the critical need for energy efficiency improvements and environmental impact reduction in coal-firedpower plants. The main objective is to evaluate the integration of Lean Thinking and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methods tooptimize operational performance and sustainability in a 25 MW coal-fired power plant in Indonesia. With a quantitative researchdesign, the study analyzes auxiliary power consumption, boiler combustion efficiency, and emissions before and after Lean-basedinterventions, supported by LCA impact assessment using Open LCA software and TRACI method. The results show a decrease inauxiliary power consumption from 14.75% to 11.75% of total production, an increase in steam production by 3.75% per ton ofcoal, a decrease in coal consumption per kWh by 3.48%, and a reduction in Global Warming Potential by 10.12%. Discussionhighlights the synergy between operational efficiency and environmental benefits, while acknowledging the trade-offs of smallincreases in acidification and particulate emissions. This study enriches insights by empirically linking Lean operationalimprovements to environmental impact reduction, and provides a practical framework for sustainable energy generation. Thesefindings confirm that an integrative Lean-LCA approach is essential to balance economic and ecological objectives in fossil fuelpower plant

Strategi KWL Plus, yang mencakup "What I Know," "What I Want to Know," dan "What I Learned," mendorong partisipasi aktif serta kesadaran metakognitif siswa, sehingga meningkatkan keterampilan memahami bacaan.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of sucrose and lime juice on the organoleptic properties of papaya jelly candy. This study used a factorial RAK with 2 components. In detail, the concentration of sucrose (20%, 25%, and 30%) was the first factor, while the concentration of lime juice (1%, 1.5%, and 2%) was the second factor. Organoleptic research was conducted by considering texture, color, taste, and aroma. To test the effect between treatments, analysis of variance was used at the 5% level and the Friedman test was analyzed using the 5% BNJ test. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the interaction between sucrose and lime juice has a significant effect on the organoleptic taste of papaya jelly candy
