Inclusive teaching for ADHD: Challenges and strategies in mainstream schools
This study explores the challenges encountered and the strategies employed by elementary teachers to foster inclusive learning environments for students with ADHD. Using a qualitative phenomenological design, data were collected through structured interviews with six purposively selected elementary school teachers from a private institution in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Thematic analysis revealed three primary challenges: behavioral disruptions, instructional and pedagogical gaps, and limited institutional support. In response, teachers utilized behavior management interventions, differentiated instructional strategies, and collaborative support mechanisms. These findings suggest that while teachers demonstrate adaptability and commitment, systemic limitations and lack of structured support hinder the full realization of inclusive practices for learners with ADHD. Hence, the study recommends professional development initiatives, provision of assistive teaching resources, and the implementation of comprehensive inclusion policies to enhance the effectiveness of ADHD-inclusive education in mainstream classrooms

The research explored promotional strategies to determine their effect on customer satisfaction in Vigan City transient houses. The research investigated the impact of online presence and digital marketing on attracting guests while improving their experience. The research used a quantitative approach to gather data from transient house guests who assessed their digital marketing channel experiences, booking convenience, and satisfaction levels. The analysis showed that Facebook and Instagram operated as the primary social media platforms through which customers discovered and interacted with the business. Statistical analysis of digital promotional strategies revealed important relationships between these strategies and customer satisfaction ratings. The most effective promotional strategies included advertisements that fulfilled customer needs, straightforward online information, simple booking procedures, and social media promotion. Social media advertisements, customer reviews, and promo codes were promotional tools to deliver information to guests. The highest outcomes occurred when digital promotional strategies were integrated with high-quality service delivery. The study indicates that transient houses must update their digital marketing approach by improving their social media presence and adopting AI-based customer service to deliver personalized wait time solutions. Combining advanced digital marketing strategies with outstanding service delivery will drive customer satisfaction and brand loyalty while enabling transient houses to succeed against hospitality industry competitors.

Improving financial performance through financial literacy, good financial practice and fintech adoption
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in economic development, contributing to employment generation and local revenue. However, their financial performance is influenced by several factors, including financial literacy, financial management practices, and financial technology (fintech) adoption. This study examines the relationship between these variables and the financial performance of MSMEs in Vigan City, Philippines. Employing a descriptive-correlational research design, data were collected from ninety (90) MSME owners and managers through a structured survey. The findings revealed that MSMEs in Vigan City exhibit a high level of financial literacy, financial management practices, and fintech adoption. However, gaps persist in the practical application of financial knowledge, long-term financial planning, and the utilization of fintech beyond basic transactions. Statistical analysis indicated a significant positive correlation between financial literacy, financial management practices, fintech adoption, and financial performance. These results suggest that strengthening financial education, encouraging proactive financial planning, and enhancing fintech integration can further improve MSME sustainability and profitability. This study provided valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and MSME owners, offering strategic recommendations to enhance financial resilience, efficiency, and growth. By addressing key financial challenges, MSMEs in heritage cities like Vigan can achieve greater financial stability and long-term success
Exploring daycare teachers’ experiences in managing ADHD learners in inclusive classrooms
This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of daycare teachers managing learners with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in inclusive classroom settings. Guided by Colaizzi’s descriptive phenomenological method, the study drew insights from in-depth interviews with 15 purposively selected teachers in Ilocos Norte. Five essential themes emerged: navigating behavioral unpredictability, struggling to form emotional connections, relying on improvised strategies, experiencing inconsistent support, and managing moral tensions between care and systemic constraints. Participants described being emotionally vigilant, pedagogically creative, and ethically committed, yet often under-resourced and unsupported. The essence of their experience lies in the tension between their dedication to inclusive ideals and the realities of limited institutional capacity. The findings underscore the importance of professional development that integrates reflective and emotional dimensions, as well as systemic reforms that provide sustained support for inclusive teaching. By centering teachers’ voices and experiences, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the human dimension of inclusion in early childhood education
Can the transformational leadership style improve work ethics and organizational citizenship behavior?
The study aimed to examine the impact of transformational leadership on the work ethics and organizational citizenship behavior of the employees. To deepen the concept of the study, the literature was reviewed. The study utilized descriptive assessment and a correlational research design. The population was all the employees of the Divine Word College of Laoag. The data were gathered through questionnaires, and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The study found that transformational leadership style is not associated with or correlated with work ethics and organizational citizenship behavior. Thus, the hypothesis is rejected. The study recommends further research to include more variables, such as organizational culture and individual work values, as predictors of work ethics and organizational citizenship behavior, rather than relying solely on transformational leadership style
Examining the organizational climate of the Divine Word Colleges in the SVD Northern Province, Philippines
This study examined the organizational climate of four Divine Word Colleges in the SVD Northern Province, Philippines, as perceived by middle-level administrators, faculty, and employees, and its effect on employee morale and work behavior. A literature review provided a theoretical foundation for the investigation. Using a descriptive–correlational research design, data were analyzed through frequency counts, percentages, weighted means, ANOVA, and regression–correlation analysis. Results showed no significant differences in the perceptions of the three respondent groups regarding organizational climate. However, a highly significant relationship was found between organizational climate and employee morale, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. The findings underscore the crucial role of a positive organizational climate in promoting employee morale and effective work behavior. Further research incorporating additional variables is recommended for a more comprehensive assessment.

Factors and strategies to enhance SIPAG: Studying, involvement, participation, and attendance in elective and academic achievement: Literature review
This study explores the key factors influencing student involvement, participation, and attendance in senior high school elective courses through the culturally grounded SIPAG framework, which emphasizes values of diligence and hard work (Santos & Cruz, 2021). By conducting a comprehensive literature review, the study synthesizes insights from Elective Theory (Kerr, 2002), Self-Determination Theory (Deci & Ryan, 2020), Goal-Setting Theory (Locke & Latham, 2021), and Social Cognitive Theory (Bandura, 2020) to examine how motivational strategies impact student engagement and academic achievement. Using a comparative research design, the review analyzes 20 recent studies focused on motivational approaches and cultural relevance in elective education. The findings underscore the effectiveness of collaborative learning, goal setting, and peer mentoring in enhancing motivation and participation (Lee & Ramirez, 2022; Wong & Hernandez, 2023). Furthermore, integrating SIPAG values strengthens the cultural relevance and acceptance of these strategies, fostering deeper student commitment (Santos & Cruz, 2021). The review also identifies persistent challenges, including scheduling conflicts and limited resources, which highlight the need for culturally sensitive, theory-driven interventions to improve student engagement in electives (Nguyen & Patel, 2023; Martinez, Nguyen & Patel, 2021)
Inclusive education: Challenges and opportunities of public elementary school teachers
This qualitative phenomenological study explores the lived experiences of public elementary school teachers in the Banna District, Ilocos Norte, in implementing inclusive education. Guided by open-ended questions and thematic analysis, the study uncovers the multifaceted challenges and opportunities teachers encounter as they strive to meet the diverse needs of learners. Key challenges include classroom management in diverse settings, insufficient learning materials, and physical space constraints. Despite these barriers, teachers reported meaningful professional growth, shifts toward learner-centered teaching approaches, and the development of more compassionate and inclusive classroom environments. Their narratives reveal personal and professional resilience and the pressing need for stronger institutional support. The findings underscore that while inclusive education holds transformative potential, its sustainability depends on equipping teachers with adequate resources, training, and recognition. The study calls for policy reinforcement and deeper systemic engagement to ensure that inclusive education is not merely a mandate, but a shared commitment across the education sector
Audit quality of financial and compliance audits conducted by the corporate government sector of the Commission on Audit, Regional Office No. 01, Philippines
This study assessed the audit quality of financial and compliance audits conducted by state auditors in the Commission on Audit (COA) Regional Office No. 01, focusing on the corporate government sector in Region I, Philippines. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational research design and survey data from 40 state auditors and 120 auditees across various government-owned and controlled corporations, the study examined perceptions of key audit quality determinants and associated challenges. Data were analyzed using weighted mean and Pearson r.
Findings showed that both auditors and auditees rated the influence of five audit quality determinants as high to very high. “Independence and Objectivity” consistently received the highest ratings, while “Adherence to Public Sector Auditing Standards” received the lowest, although still within high category. Challenges were significantly associated with lower financial audit quality but had no significant effect on compliance audit quality.
The study concludes that COA Regional Office No. 01 maintains high audit quality, particularly in compliance audits, underscoring the importance of technical competence and adherence to standards. However, resource, time constraints and threats to independence and objectivity hinder audit thoroughness, especially in financial audits, which are more sensitive to these challenges than compliance audits. Recommendations include targeted auditor training, enhanced resource allocation, stronger methodological oversight, expanded IT support, and improved auditee engagement. Future research should consider broader COA sectors and explore perception gaps between auditors and auditees
Strategies in integrating gamification into the teaching–learning process to enhance engagement and its challenges
This study aimed to explore the integration of gamification and game-based learning in elementary education, focusing on its effectiveness and the challenges faced by teachers. Drawing on the experiences of 11 educators from Hilario Valdez Memorial Elementary School in Batac, Ilocos Norte, the research employs a phenomenological design to uncover strategies that enhance student engagement, motivation, and critical thinking. Findings reveal that both digital and non-digital game formats—such as Kahoot, Quizziz, and collaborative offline games—significantly improve classroom participation and learning retention. However, teachers also encountered barriers and challenges including technical limitations, classroom management issues, and the absence of clear pedagogical frameworks. The study underscores the importance of aligning gamified activities with learning competencies, promoting inclusivity, and leveraging technology for feedback and assessment. Ultimately, it advocates for policy support, teacher training, and culturally responsive gamification practices to enrich the Philippine education system.
