Rousseauism and franciscanism in the works by Leopold Staff and Knut Hamsun
Get PDFУ статті розкриваються основні принципи поширеного в польському літературознавстві явища під назвою “францисканізм”, одним із найяскравіших виразників якого був Л. Стафф. Авторка вказує на спільність рис францисканізму з руссоїстською концепцією “природної людини”, що знайшли втілення у творчості Л. Стаффа та норвезького письменника К. Гамсуна, твори якого вплинули на спадщину українських та польських митців початку ХХ ст.The article outlines the essence of “franciscanism”, a notion generally accepted by the Polish literary critics, and focuses on the works by Leopold Staff, a typical representative of this trend. The author points out the features which relate franciscanism to the concept of “natural person” offered by Rousseau, and traces them in the texts written by L.Staff and the Norwegian author Knut Hamsun whose infl uences on Ukrainian and Polish authors at the turn of the 20th century cannot be overseen

Get PDFBasing on the short story “14” by the Russian prose writer Faina Grimberg, we analyse such parodyingmechanisms as changing the signs of one system into the signs of the other within the context of receptionand representation of women's writing. In this case, comic inversion becomes apparent in fi lling traditionalliterary types and topics (e.g. the motif of capture) with new meaning in an attempt to resist the infl uence of thedominant culture. Special attention is paid to the postmodernist mechanisms of transformation which convertsexuality into the metaphor of sex.На матеріалі повісті “14” російської письменниці Фаїни Грімберг вивчаються механізми пародії якзаміни знаків системи на знаки іншої системи в контексті рецепції та репрезентації жіночого тексту.Комічна інверсія за таких умов постає наповненням традиційних художніх типів і тем (скажімо, мотивуполону) новим значенням у спробах протистояти впливам домінантної культури. Особливу увагузосереджено на механізмах трансформації сексуальності в метафору статі в межах постмодерноїкультури

Stressing theimportance of the writer’s journalistic works in tracing back the sources of his literary creativity, the author givesmuch attention to the social, political and cultural matters which are at issue in O. Dosvitniy’s articles, pointsout the specifi cs of their genre, thereby classifying them into several groups and subgroups, and also takesnotice of the modes of dialogue with the reader as well as of polemic, stylistic and rhetoric devices. A specialemphasis is made on O. Dosvitniy’s contributions to the literary discussion in 1925-28.Стаття становить собою спробу критичного розгляду публіцистичної спадщини О.Досвітнього, яка насьогодні маловивчена.
