Get PDFThe author of the article compares a specifi cally Japanese lyrical prose genre zuihitsu with some similarpoetic texts created by the Ukrainian writers of the 20th century. As a result, it is concluded that, upon givingthe interpretations of this Japanese prose genre which incidentally remained rather exotic for Ukrainiancircumstances (particularly – accomplishing it mostly in free, rarely in metric verse form), the authors hadmade a great contribution to their poetics, primarily by way of combining the specifi c literary form and profoundphilosophical contents (e.g. through the use of both Japanese and native Ukrainian symbolic images, the latterbeing closely associated with the role of impressions in human self-defi nition within the macrocosm).У статті здійснено порівняльний аналіз японської ліричної прози в жанрі дзуйхіцу і творів подібнихжанрів, наявних у доробку українських поетів другої половини ХХ століття. Установлено, що, інтерпретуючиекзотичний для української літератури жанр, надаючи йому вільної (рідше – метричної) віршової форми,автори привносять у нього глибинний філософський зміст, уводять у тексти віршів, поряд із японськими,автохтонні українські символічні образи, пов’язані передусім із роллю враження в осмисленні людиноюсвого місця в макрокосмі світу

На прикладі всесвітньо відомого роману “Чорнильне серце” німецької письменниці Корнелії Функе показано можливості відновлення системи референцій, а саме віднаходження власної автентичності та адекватності щодо інших завдяки природній здатності дитини поєднувати і збалансовувати два світи – світ реальний і світ фіктивний.This article deals with the identities of literary space under the circumstances of communication crisis which spread over the children’s and youth literature during the postmodern era. Such writing situation is duly exemplifi ed by a world-known novel “Inkheart” written by Cornelia Funke. The German writer explores the possibilities for renewal of the reference system, making it possible for a child to combine and to balance both the real world and the world of fantasy, and thus to establish its own authenticity as well as adequacy in relations with the others

По-особливому трансформуючи жанрові канони й виводячи гротескно-знижений образ перетвореного на Мефістофеля митця, письменник робить один із перших кроків на шляху самокритики фаустіанської культури Модерну.Upon stating the fundamental ambivalence of “Mephisto”-novel, the author of the paper explores K.Mann’s text as a career novel with elements of “Zeitroman”, on the one hand, and as a travesty of Goethe’s myth, on the other hand, thus showing various ways of those semantic layers’ interaction. The noteworthy deformations of both genre canons which condense into a Mephistopheles-like central fi gure of the artist allow the writer to make an initial step towards the self-criticism of the Faustian modernist culture
