Modularity is a key principle to reduce complexity and promote reusability in software development and modeling. The open-source modeling tool USE enables the textual specification and validation of systems but currently lacks support for modular structures. This work introduces an import mechanism for USE that allows external models to be integrated into existing specifications. As a result, reusable model components, such as user defined data types, can be defined once and then utilized across multiple models. This reduces redundancy, facilitates maintenance and improves the consistency of modelbased specifications
This portrait describes Bennata Otten’s education and career. It covers her childhood and school years at a girls’ school, her participation in one of the first library courses for women, her private further education, and her work as director of the Lübeck Public Library (1906–1923)

The SDGs highlight the need to make modes of transport sustainable. Ports are of sig-nificant economic importance, but th/ey must also be aligned with sustainability. To help solve this problem, green ports are an option. Objective: This research aims to propose an evaluation model for a green port, with indicators and sub-indicators. A total of 10 indicators were mapped from the literature, with a group of 45 sub-indicators. Contribution: This research contributes to this topic in the literature by presenting a set of relevant indicators and helping ports progress towards their sustainability-related objectives. Conclusions: It is concluded that the most relevant indicators in the literature are: Emissions reduction and efforts to ensure Energy Management; Air quality; Noise pollution; Water management; Cost and savings; Materials, inputs and resources; Indoor environmental quality; Construction project management; Social indicators; and Port operations management. Furthermore, the indicators and sub-indicators were verified by experts in the port sector and applied using documentary sources from internationally recognized ports. Building automotive security on internet standards : an integration of DNSSEC, DANE, and DANCE to authenticate and authorize in-car services
The automotive industry is undergoing a software-as-a-service transformation that enables software-defined functions and post-sale updates via cloud and vehicle-to-everything communication. Connectivity in cars introduces significant security challenges, as remote attacks on vehicles have become increasingly prevalent. Current automotive designs call for security solutions that address the entire lifetime of a vehicle. In this paper, we propose to authenticate and authorize in-vehicle services by integrating DNSSEC, DANE, and DANCE with automotive middleware. Our approach decouples the cryptographic authentication of the service from that of the service deployment with the help of DNSSEC and thereby largely simplifies key management. We propose to authenticate in-vehicle services by certificates that are solely generated by the service suppliers but published on deployment via DNSSEC TLSA records solely signed by the OEM. Building on well-established Internet standards ensures interoperability with various current and future protocols, scalable management of credentials for millions of connected vehicles at well-established security levels. We back our design proposal by a security analysis using the STRIDE threat model and by evaluations in a realistic in-vehicle setup that demonstrate its effectiveness.ReviewPendin
