AUGMENTED REALITY AND CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT IN FASHION BUSINESS: ONTOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE
This paper explored the transformative role of augmented reality (AR) in enhancing customer engagement within Nigeria's rapidly evolving fashion industry. As the sector embraces advanced technologies, AR emerges as a pivotal tool that merges physical and virtual experiences, allowing consumers to try on clothing and accessories virtually. This study highlights the significance of AR in fostering brand loyalty and customer retention, particularly among Nigeria's tech-savvy youth. By adopting an ontological perspective, the research delves into how AR reshapes consumer perceptions and interactions, emphasising the cultural nuances that influence engagement strategies. The findings reveal that AR not only enhances the shopping experience but also reduces product returns and increases sales conversion rates, addressing logistical challenges in Nigeria's online retail landscape. Case studies of successful AR implementations by local brands demonstrate its potential to elevate brand visibility and foster deeper emotional connections with consumers. The paper concludes by recommending strategies for integrating AR into marketing efforts, including personalised experiences, gamification, and community-building initiatives. Future research avenues are proposed to further investigate the long-term impacts of AR on customer loyalty, the effectiveness of gamification, and the economic implications for small and medium-sized enterprises. This comprehensive analysis contributes valuable insights for stakeholders aiming to leverage AR in Nigeria's fashion industry, positioning them for sustainable growth and enhanced global competitiveness

A cross-sectional survey research design was employed, with a sample size of 320 in Ambrose Alli University and Benson Idahosa University in Edo State. The study utilized multiple regression analysis to assess the influence of CNS and ORJ on the likelihood of reporting sexual harassment. The findings revealed that while centralization negatively affects disclosure, organizational justice positively encourages it. It also revealed a statistically significant difference in the experience of sexual harassment between staff in public and faith-based universities. Based on these results, the study recommends that universities decentralize reporting mechanisms and strengthen fairness in handling sexual harassment cases to foster a safer and more supportive environment for staf
Effect of COVID-19 on customer satisfaction with POS System: Empirical Evidence from Selected Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Kaduna Metropolis
This paper studied the effect of point of sales (POS) services on customer satisfaction in Kaduna metropolis. A survey method was used to collect data from the respondents in this study. The study’s population are all users of POS services that belong to Sky bank, Polaris bank and Union bank in Kaduna metropolis. However, the population of the study is infinite. This is because, regardless of the bank, account holders in Nigerian are allowed to use any of the banking services for transactions and POS is one of them. Therefore, the infinite population table yielded a sample size of 384. The study employed purposive sampling technique because this research is interested in bank customers that used POS for transactions. On the other hand, the three banks were selected purposively. The present study adopted primary data through questionnaire. The likelihood of any connection between the utilization of point-of-sale technologies and customer happiness in the city of Kaduna was investigated using the Chisquare method. According to the study's findings, consumer satisfaction and point of sale utilization are significantly correlated. The study urged banks to invest more in information and communication technology (ICT) products by purchasing cutting-edge internet devices that would lessen the ongoing issues with inaccurate networks, power outages, and the privacy of communicating over transaction networks related to point of sale (POS). Moreover, to ensure customers’ confidence in the usage of POS, the country’s Monetary Authority should develop a suitable regulatory framework that will ensure customer safety and security of transactions through collaboration with security agencies and other relevant ICT firms

It examined how knowledge investment predicts employee competencies and whether competencies mediate the relationship between knowledge investment and performance. The study used a cross-sectional survey design, collecting data from 250 employees across five major banks in Wukari through structured questionnaires. Smart PLS structural equation model (SEM) was employed to test the hypotheses. The results showed that knowledge investment did not have a significant direct effect on employee competencies (β = 0.12, p > 0.05), nor did it significantly influence performance (β = 0.08, p > 0.05). Employee competencies significantly influenced performance (β = 0.45, p < 0.01). Additionally, employee competencies did not mediate the relationship between knowledge investment and performance (indirect effect = 0.05, p > 0.05). The study concluded that banks need to refine their knowledge investment strategies, focusing on targeted training and mentorship programs to enhance employee competencies, which, in turn, will improve overall performance. Based on these findings, it is recommended that banks increase their investment in knowledge-sharing initiatives and tailored skill development programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among employees. Additionally, management should focus on aligning knowledge investment efforts with specific competency areas directly linked to performance outcomes to ensure a more effective impac
