INTRAPRENEURIAL NETWORKS AND ACCESS TO RESOURCES IN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY WUKARI, TARABA STATE
This study examines the impact of intrapreneurial networks on access to resources at Federal University Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria. Specifically, the research examines the effect of four network dimensions —collaboration, skills development, innovation, and information sharing — on access to resources. Grounded in this study is Social Capital Theory (SCT), which emphasises the influence of social relationships on resource allocation and utilisation. A sample of 287 academic staff, selected through stratified random sampling, was surveyed. The study utilised regression techniques to test formulated hypotheses. The analysis reveals that collaboration and innovation are key determinants of resource access as indicated by regression coefficients of 0.710 (p < 0.05) and 0.509 (p < 0.01), respectively. The engagement in skills development and sharing information also positively impacts access to resources, with values of 0.623 (p < 0.05) and 0.710 (p < 0.05), respectively. In this case, the study concluded that intrapreneurial networks are an important determinant of resource acquisition and deployment. In light of these findings, the study recommends that university administrators and policymakers foster enhanced collaborative frameworks alongside active skills development, shared innovation, and information disseminatio

IMPACT OF PUBLIC EXPENDITURE FOR TRANSPORT ON ECONOMIC GROWTH IN NIGERIA: AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS FROM 1984-2024
The study analysed the impact of public expenditure on transport on economic growth in Nigeria, using time series data from 1984 to 2024. To ascertain the stationarity condition of the variables, a unit root test was conducted and found that the variables under study were integrated of order one I (1). This allowed conducting the cointegration test. The study employed ECM and Granger causality techniques. The findings showed that real GDP with (0.24) found to be positive and statistically significant at 0.038. CEXP is positive and statistically significant at 0.0836, indicating that an increase in CEXP will lead to an increase in economic growth. Coefficient of GEXT 2785.68 is positive and statistically significant at 0.057, suggesting that an increase in GEXT will lead to an increase in economic growth. Also, the coefficient of DIV 4675.23 is positive and statistically significant at 0.076 showed increase in DIV will result in a rise in economic growth. It also showed that public spending for the transport sector will increase the gross domestic product. It further revealed that ECM -0.058 was negative with a p value of0.00) showed the long run relationship. Based on this result, the study recommends that the government allocate more funds to capital expenditure and recurrent expenditure to the transport sector. Doing this will decrease the cost of doing business and accelerate the nation’s production capacity
PRICE PERCEPTION AND SALES PERFORMANCE OF HI-QUALITY BAKERY, CALABAR
The study investigated the effect of price perception on sales performance of Hi-quality bakery. A survey research design was used, where a sample of 60 customers responded to the questionnaire. Simple regression with the aid of SPSS was used to test for significance of the variable. The result shows that price perception affects sales performance Hi-quality bakery. This implies that the price of Hi-quality bakery is fairly inelastic. The study recommends that Hi-Quality Bakery maintain modest price increases aligned with cost-benefit considerations and conduct regular customer surveys to monitor changes in price perception

This study examined the relationship between truancy and academic performance among students in selected secondary schools in Ogun State, Nigeria. Using a survey design and a sample of 396 students selected through stratified and simple random sampling, data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed within the framework of Social Control Theory. Findings revealed a high prevalence of truancy, though respondents did not strongly agree on specific causes, suggesting that truancy is influenced by multiple, complex factors. The study established a significant negative correlation between truancy and academic performance, indicating that increased absenteeism is linked to lower academic achievement. It recommends a collaborative approach involving teachers, parents, school administrators, community stakeholders, and students to effectively reduce truancy and improve educational outcome

A total of 388 owners/managers of these SMEs formed the sample size of this study. Hence, 388 questionnaires were distributed to owners/managers of the sampled SMEs in North Central Nigeria, but only 315 (81.2 %) of them were found useful for data analysis. Data collected were analyzed using regression analysis. Four hypotheses were tested using multiple regression statistics at 5 % level of significance. Findings showed that knowledge acquisition, knowledge conversion, knowledge application, and knowledge protection had significant positive effects on competitive advantage of SMEs in North Central Nigeria. The study recommended among others that owners/managers of SMEs in North Central Nigeria should install the necessary machinery for knowledge acquisition so that their employees can speedily acquire the relevant knowledge that would enhance their contribution to the attainment of the firms’ competitive advantag

Primary data were obtained through a structured questionnaire from a sample population of 1,756 from three selected Federal Universities, made up of 1,252 for University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), 373 for Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) and 229 for Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (AEFUNAI), respectively. The researchers used descriptive statistics and linear regression to analyse data obtained in the study. The result proved that the gender of participants generated an important (p<0.005) effect on employees’ performance. In particular, the males were found to have a higher performance than the females. Marital status diversity has a p-value of 0.644 and thus has no significant effect on employees’ performance in the universities studied. Three instrument were used which include the Big Five-Personality Inventory, Basic Psychological Need Scale and Relationship Satisfaction Scale. The study employed a cross-sectional survey design and multiple regression was used in the statistical analysis. The results showed that personality traits (neuroticism) negatively predicted relationship satisfaction (β= -.18, t = -2.32, P < .05) which suggests that staff high in Neuroticism tend to hold more negative expectancies in relational activities and openness to experience also significantly predicted relationship satisfaction (β= .15, t = 2.14, P < .05), which implies that openness in relationship is a prerequisite for intra-conflict resolution among the studied population. More so, psychological need of competence significantly predicted relationship satisfaction (β= .18, t = 2.31, P < .05), which implies that self-confidence had significant and impactful role in staff’ intra-conflict management and relational activitie
