A Case Study on Marketing Strategy of Xiaomi
Get PDFWith the intense development and growth of China's mobile communication and technology industry, many manufacturers have come up to take the advantage of growing market of mobile phone users. Approximately 1 billion people own a smartphone. This has led to birth of many of the world’s famous mobile phone brands. One of the major brand, emerged in 2010 was Xiaomi. In this paper, background of Xiaomi’s, its marketing strategies, business models have been presented. Also, comparative analysis of marketing strategy of Xiaomi and other manufacturers has been done to understand the reasons for the market success and the exponential growth exhibited by the company. The current state of information available through various platforms has been used to perform the study. It has been inferred that, the primary reason for this exceptional growth has been the product quality at cheaper rate with a focus on customer feedback and requirements. The testimony to this fact is its ever expanding portfolio into various domains such as smart TVs, Speakers, home appliances, personal computers to name a few
Users Perspectives on Online Pharmacy Model
No full textThe advents in technology through continuous innovations have supported to improve the quality of the human life in the society. One of the innovation due to the invention of ICT based online/mobile high-speed internet is e-business which allowed the development of online shopping/purchase of both intangible and tangible commodities online. The major advantage and benefit of this online model is its ubiquity, convenience, and low cost to the customer. The online shopping/purchase model is now becoming popular especially among youngsters. One variation of this e-purchase model is online pharmacy model where a consumer can purchase the prescribed drug online to take some of the advantages of this model. In this paper, we have studied the customer’s attitude, views, and concern on this new channel of drug distribution using the data collected by online questionnaire from the general population. The data obtained from this survey is analysed, assessed and interpreted. Based on information collected and focused group study, the online pharmacy model is analysed using ABCD analysis framework. The various issues related to online pharmacy, affecting factors are studies under ABCD constructs using ABCD listing methodology. Based on the outcome of the study, many recommendations are suggested for developing proper controlling mechanism/regulations for drug control authorities of the country to avoid misuse of the online channel for the drug purchas

This case study is particularlyrelevant to the dilemmas encountered when supporting students with disabilities in schools.The school principal in the case, Mr. Thomas Donaldson, is committed to supporting allstudents in the school. Mr. Donaldson believes that students’ attachment to school formsthrough healthy relationships built on empathy and commitment between teachers andstudents. Teachers require time, compassion, and professional learning opportunities to bestsupport students with disabilities in ways that result in positive changes for everyone. Mr.Donaldson tries to approach his teachers the same way: He seeks to know and understand thediverse needs and values of his teachers and offers them his perspectives on inclusive,meaningful learning opportunities in the hope of provoking change. The case study beginswith a description of the context in which the school is situated. The case then presents theperspectives of Mr. Donaldson and three new teachers before the start of the school year.These perspectives provide a backdrop to the realities principals face as they strive togenerate cohesive approaches infused from inclusive ideals and guided in the realities theirstudents live. Electrodeposition and Corrosion Analysis of Zn-Fe Alloy Coatings
Get PDFZn–Fe alloys were electrodeposited on mild steel plates and their morphology were evaluated. Electrodeposition was carried out using electrolytic sulphate bath with glycine as an additive. The composition of the electrolytic bath, experimental parameters and current density was optimized using Hull cell. The corrosion properties of developed coatings were evaluated in 3.5% NaCl solution using potentio-dynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic techniques. Zn-Fe alloy coatings at 4 A dm-2 presented a remarkable corrosion resistance performance due to morphology changes in the alloy

Boosting Education Through Mobile Technology in India - Study with Reference to Generation Z

The usage of Mobile Technology in the education sector has become the need of the day. Out of Mind, Out of Sight: A Critical Appraisal of Social Initiatives to Curb Migration in Uttarakhand
No full textThe existing state of affairs in the hill and rural areas of Uttarakhand is very dangerous as thestate has more than fifteen hundred ghost villages and this number is growing day in day out. The villagers from these places are moving out to plain areas within and outside the state mainly for employment opportunities and a variety of other reasons also contributes to this unfortunate process. Comprehending the urgency of the situation several individuals, non-government organizations, self help groups and the different agencies of the government have started a number of initiatives to curb this serious issue of migration. This research article makes an effort to study the circumstances, current scenario and predominant causes in relation to migration for the state of Uttarakhand. The research article mainly focusses on some of the successful cases of social initiatives attempted for helping to create a viable environment so that people do not have to migrate out of their home in search for facilities. The article concludes that such kind of social initiatives have the potential to stop the process of migration and to initiate reverse migration in the state but still a fair distance has to be covered to make this vision palpable
