Role of Police in the Criminal Justice System of Bangladesh: Need for Reformation
No full textPolice and their functions are very important in criminology. Because it is the principal duty of the police to arrest criminals and conduct them until the conclusion of trial for preventing crime. Police are legally authorized to use force and other means of coercion to execute public and social order. The basic knowledge of crime and criminology is must for the police and that’s whyalmost in every country of the world has a criminology division for police. And police are manually trained for the knowledge of criminology. It is true that an honest, sincere and effective police force can ensure a happy and peaceful society. Although it is not possible for the police to reduce crime from society completely but it can be controlled and retained in a satisfactory stage. Otherwise, trick, corrupted, unlettered and disingenuous police force can give facilities to the criminals and make the life of the general citizens miserable. This study has an assertion and provided some recommendations to the knowledge of criminology for police and to reform the police system in Bangladesh. No full textOrganization should provide a safe and healthy environment for its employees. Safety isconcerned with the protection of the physical health of employees in the workplace. The Health and Safety Policies aims to create a healthy workplace by reducing hazards affecting the performance of employees. Hazardous working conditions will increase the health risks leading to high rate of absenteeism and attrition. Any unexpected event likely to cause any type of injury to the person or damage to the property and environment is called to be the accident. Frequent exposure of the worker to the unhealthy working conditions slowly develops accumulated effect over an extended period of time causing occupational diseases. All the accidents involving the element of fatality or injury which disables a person from working for more than 48 hours areconsidered to be the reportable injuries. Occupational hazards are the potential conditions both internal and external transforming into a series of events causing loss. Death, injuries and illnesscan arise out of safety violations or negligence. Accidents and Injuries happening in the course ofemployment will cause enormous financial loss to the organization. Safety is the protection against uncertain risks caused by the hazards of electricity, machinery, slip or trip, explosion causing injury, death or damage to people and property. Phobia: Impact on Academic Outcomes of Students Aged Between 6 Years to 18 Years - A Case Study
No full textBackground: Most of us have experience of fear at any point of our lifetime. When this common fear turns to severe anxiety can be named as a phobia. The phobia is one of the psychological disorders which imbalance our day today’s wellbeing. Normally children have frequent experience of fear and few of them suffer from severe anxiety disorder. The influence of the external world is the main cause of any phobic problems. Result: As per this case study common fear or phobic disorder among children is affecting the academic performance of the children and their day today’s activities. It is highly recommended to expertize the teachers and educate the family members to have an insight on phobic disorders and its impacts on children. Most therapeutic approaches are currently being used for children for the prevention of phobic and anxiety disorders are individual child-focused treatments. Family members or teachers generally play a little or indirect role in the treatment process. However, the role of teacher’s and family member’s in identifying and managing anxious children will help the child for being potential in fighting against such disorders. Specific assessment, including the interview, reporting instruments, other-report measures, behavioural observations, monitoring, and physiological assessment are the tools in finding solutions for phobic problems among children.Conclusion: The above case study is giving us an experimental idea on deferent types of anxiety disorders and their impact on the child’s academic outcome. However the impact of phobia is not only on the academic outcome of the child but also on its behaviour and social wellbeing, it will also disturb the child in its day today’s activities. The timely approach with several therapies will help the child to cope-up with the phobic problems and balance well performance in academic as well as in social activities
Challenges Associated with Running a Green Business in India and Other Developing Countries
Get PDFRunning a green business in India and other developing economies is indeed a challenging job for the producers involved in this business. In a green business environment, the company may re-design the product attributes since the usage of the harmful chemical may be prevented and scarce resources may not be exploited. The main objective of this case study is to assess the factors that are associated with running a green business in India and other developing economies. This case study also highlights the issues related to the green business. This case study is developed by using secondary data to assess the factors that influence green business. The secondary data was obtained from another exhaustive literature review of journals and internet sources. The developing economies strive hard to achieve green business since it has been a necessity for these countries to depend on natural resources. The important aspect here is developing countries depend on both the economic and social factors which have a major impact on environmental factors. Moreover, developing countries are mainly dependent on natural resources for their potential and growth so as to give stiff competition for the developed economies in a global market. Inaddition, many developing economies face challenges basically related to power, water, ecological problems, social and economic problems and also problems related to weather and climate change. The challenges associated with green business also depends on cost analysis, where it is quite expensive for a poor and developing economy to reach the initial cost too since the usage of basic technology is lacking. Moreover, the treatment for wastewater, water resource management, treatment for disposal of effluents and toxic waste are not successfully utilized. The developed economies need to import modern technologyand technical knowledge from other countries because of the lack of their own technology and technical skills. Now a day’s many countries have the knowledge of green growth which thereby helps to improve the economic standards of the countries. The government has to take certain measures such as the provision of subsidies which may support the challenges of green growth and development. The short-term subsidies may not benefit more since it mayhamper the production and demand by raising the price and cost. But as for the long term is considered these reforms may provide more effectiveness in productivity and thereby lead to changes in technologies

A New Attitude-Behaviour (AB) Theory for Organizational Leadership
No full textThe organizational fate depends on a committed effective decision maker who can predict the future business situations based on various affecting parameters on the organizational business. The right decisions taken at right time can elevate an organization as a winning organization and the decision maker can transform himself as an acceptable leader. Such decisions can also decide the fate of the organization along with the livelihood of its employees. A winning leader is an asset of an organization and the employees are directly and indirectly get the benefits of such a leader. If the leader fails in predicting the future of a profit oriented organization or not for profit organizations, the employees are directly going to be the victims of such wrong decisions. Leaders should able to make a correct judgment while taking decisions based on effective predictions by using predictive analysis framework. The attitude of the leader plays an important role while making decisions on solving organizational/individual problems. In Simon’s model of decision making, the attitude of the leader decides his ability to identify a problem, finding alternative solutions, analysing these alternatives to find optimum alternative, and finally to implement the best alternative to practically solve the problem. Attitude is the mental status of a human being which represents the emotions based on his/her feelings at a given time and controls his/her instantaneous behaviour. In this paper, we have developed a theory of winning leaders actions based on their behaviour in organizations. It is argued that the behaviour of a leader depends on his/her attitude which may be positive or negative depends on the four factors identified as feelings, emotions, belief, and environment. Thus a supportive, effective, good environment creates a positive attitude and hence winning leaders. Electrodeposition of Corrosion resistant Nanostructured Ni-Fe Alloy Coatings

The composition of the electrolytic bath and the experimental parameters were optimized. Corrosion behaviour of the developed Ni-Fe alloy coatings were evaluated in 3.5% NaCl solution using potentio-dynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic techniques.
