A Study on Customer’s Preference for Personal Vehicle Insurance Provided by Different Insurance Companies in Bengaluru
The primary purpose of vehicle insurance is to cover the vehicle against damage, personal injury, and third-party liability. In addition to this, some insurance companies also provide value-added services such as roadside assistance and other services in return of the amount called as premium which attracts a large number of customers. However, our study shows that vehicle owners give maximum importance to the cost of insurance in terms of the annual premium. Primary data has been collected through questionnaire and analysed to ascertain about the factors responsible for taking out vehicle insurance, choice between private and public sector insurance companies, preferred insurance companies among the major players in the field, factors that play a role in the customers’ choice of a particular insurance company, customers’ opinion about the affordability of the premium to be paid, customers’ satisfaction with their chosen company, whether customers consider fast and efficient service as a deciding factor, and whether the brand value of the companyplays a role in the customers’ choice
Factors Identification and Conformance of Quality of Cement and Coarse Aggregate used at Gautama Buddha Airport Upgrading Component, Nepal
Quality management system has been challenging in construction of airport project. The objective of study is to assess the factors affecting quality and conformance of Cement and Coarse Aggregate standard used at Construction Site of Gautam Buddha Airport Upgrading Component. This research is based on key informant interview with supervisor and site engineers, questionnaires survey with clients, consultants and contractors who were involved in airport construction projects along with lab test of cement and coarse aggregate of airport construction sites. Statistical tools mean value and relative importance index were used for the ranking of different quality methods. Airport follows specification and standard technical guidelines for the airport construction work. The major factors affecting the quality management in airport construction was Unavailability of competent staff, Low quality drawing and specification and Poor-quality procedure and department for ensuring quality assurance practice Provide training and seminar on quality assurance and Support the setting up of of cube of 3 days, 7 days and 28days is18.8N/mm2 (>16N/mm2 ), 27.20N/mm2 (>22N/mm2 ) and 39.40N/mm2 (>33N/mm2 ) respectively. The average initial setting Time and final setting time of cement is 180 min(>45min) and 351 min(<600min) respectively and average soundness of cement is 2.7mm(<10mm). The test for aggregate, it was found that average Los Angeles Abrasion value of aggregate was 32.8%(<40%), average crushing value of aggregate was 19.88%(<25%), Flakiness index of aggregate found that 19.85%(<25%) and the gradation of aggregate was found that within specification. Development and Validation of Survey Questionnaire & Experimental Data – A Systematical Review-based Statistical Approach
In quantitative research methodology, the empirical research method is finding importance due to its effectiveness in carrying out research in social sciences, business management, and health sciences. The empirical research method contains the procedure of developing a model to find the relationship between different variables identified in a problem. Based on developing hypotheses and testing hypotheses, one can examine and improve the model to explain realworld phenomena. The empirical research method consists of sing a survey-based questionnaire to collect the data to identify and interrelate variables present in the problem. It is a comparatively difficult task to design and develop an effective, efficient, and psychometrically perfect questionnaire to be used for research data collection in empirical and clinical research settings. This paper provides a reference on guidelines and framework for developing suitable questionnaires for use in social sciences, business management, medical, and paramedical research with a special emphasis on various stages of questionnaire preparation, preliminary questionnaire testing, and validation (reliability & validity) of the questionnaire using a number of statistical methods. The paper throws light on data collection and analysis stages before the finalization of the developed model for testing hypotheses in empirical research by providing guidelines for the design, development, and translation of questionnaires for application in the above-mentioned research fields. The different types of validation processes required for cleaning the data by various measuring instruments in experimental research are also discussed for comparison. A framework is suggested to guide researchers through the various stages of questionnaire design, development, and improvement using suitable statistical methods to assess the reliability and validity of the questionnaire used in empirical research and validation of the data obtained in experimental research
Role of Technology in the Development of Smart and Secure Public Voting Systems – a Review of Literatures
The goal of the election is not only to determine the outcomes but also to lend credence to the winners, even for those voters who did not bother voting for them. This underlines the necessity of holding free, fair, and hidden elections. Component of all this is that elections are controlled by open and accountable, neutral, and autonomous electoral-management bodies. Utilizing technology in voting procedures can make it quicker, more efficient, and less susceptible to security breaches. The technology can ensure the safety of every vote, better and faster and much more accurate counting and automatic tallying. The design of a sophisticated voting system is a complex task as it has to fulfill several essential criteria. The secrecy of an elector’s poll is to be well-preserved. The voting system should not give any evidence that proves which candidate receives a particular voter’s vote. The process uses minimum paper documents and is therefore environmentally friendly. Bio-metric or retina scans can be used to ensure security. The e-voting system is vulnerable to several serious attacks from external sources. There is indeed a likelihood that anybody who has immediate access to the e-voting system can access it suspiciously. Malevolent software can steal one candidate's votes and assign them to some other. An attacker may deny officials access to the e-voting arrangement or render an e-voting structure unavailable for the Election Day voting process. This is known as a service denial (DoS) attack. But this kind of threat is hard to detect. A large number of questionable and invalid votes are the big problem with traditional paper-ballot based voting system. This phenomenon will be eliminated if the e-voting system is used. In addition to the speed of counting and reduction of errors the e-voting system offers some more advantages such as accessibility, verifiability, and availability. When the e-voting system is integrated with the Internet, any eligible voter can vote from anywhere as there will be two or more levels of authenticity checks. In this paper, the authors reviewed the application of technology in the development of smart, secure, and versatile public voting systems. Also, they outlined research gaps and recommend new approaches to the existing systems

An Integrated Solution for Solar Cold Chain Portfolio Management using Internet of Things
The Cold Chain system includes a range of systems, such as 'thermal' and 'refrigerated packaging'strategies for moving temperature-sensitive goods along a supply chain, and logistical preparationto ensure shipment integrity. Cold Chain products, including refrigerated trucks and railcars,container ships, reefers, and air freight, are shipped in many different ways. The basic elements of the system are Cooling Systems, Cold, Cold Transport and Cold Processing and Distribution. The'cold' element of the system, i.e. refrigerators powered by gas or kerosene, has been consideredthe most suitable choice in areas without reliable energy sources such as electricity. Nevertheless,numerous problems with these tools have made it both difficult and costly to maintaintemperatures within the safe range. In the 1980s, solar refrigerators powered by batteries wereintroduced as a solution to those problems. But the batteries they relied on required regularmaintenance, had a lifespan of only three to five years, and replacements of quality were costlyand sometimes hard to get. A new solution with solar power has emerged in recent years byavoiding unreliable energy storage which is also expensive. This new solar-powered systemfreezes the material and keeps the tank frozen when there is no sunlight. The new IoT technologyoffers greater visibility and control over the entire cold chain network operated by the solar. Usingdata in real-time, IoT will allow quicker, more appropriate reactions as well as much moreinformed decisions. Nonetheless, the issue is that most IoT solutions aren't considered primetimeready. IoT has tremendous potential to play a pivotal role in turning the Solar Cold Chain Systeminto Smarter one. Teachers’ Personal and Professional Demographic Characteristics as Predictors of Students’ Academic Performance in English
This study aimed at investigating the effects of teachers’ personal and professional demographic characteristics on students’ academic performance in English. To achieve this aim, the researcher used a sample of 37 English secondary teachers and 400 students in the District of Plaridel, Schools Division Office of Bulacan during the academic year 2018-2019. The researcher used the descriptive-correlational method of research, which used a researcher-made questionnaire as the primary data gathering technique. The results of the regression analysis show that the eight (8) variables of the personal demographic characteristics and the four (4) variables of the professional demographic characteristics affect students’ academic performance in English to a various extent as shown by the non-zero coefficients. Results of the analysis of variance of the regression of personal and professional demographic characteristics on students’ academic performance revealed an Fvalue of .955 with a p-value of .490 and an F-value of 1.197 with a p-value of .331. Since the associated probability of the F-value is higher than alpha (0.05), the null hypothesis has to be sustained. This means that all variables of the personal and professional demographic characteristics do not exert significant effects on students’ academic performance in English. Integrated Inventory Management Control Framework
The concept of minimum display quantity (MDQ) is unavoidable in brick-and-mortar retailingformat owing to which, retailers need to ensure a minimum level of inventory displayed at eachstore irrespective of the revenue or inventory turns generated by a particular store. It is observedthat majority of bricks-and-mortar retailers in India assume;(a) existing inventory managementsystem is ideal to their store, (b) software solutions record accurate inventory movement, (c)involving store management team in inventory related decision making is risky/biased and mostimportantly (d) loss of sale due to stockouts is inevitable. Such assumptions and widely followedpractice have created a predisposition and mindset in store managers and they believe that theirstore delivers revenue and profit to the best of its potential with the inventory which is madeavailable to them through existing inventory management system and we cannot avoid a numberof instances consumers are unsatisfied due to stockout situations. The Nigerian State and the Challenges of Rising Cases of Sexual Assault Among Nigerian Citizens
The social vices rape “has been around” for a very long time, it is as old as humankind. It has been experiencing in almost all the countries of the world. However, in a country like Nigeria, the issue of rape among the people had been on the rising rate these days as many babies, aged and teenagers had been raped to death. It is in view of the above challenges that this paper examined the causes, impact and solutions to the rising cases of rape in Nigeria. The paper adopted the relative deprivation theory to validate its arguments, while data are gathered through the secondary methods as data are retrieved from books, articles, newspapers and internet materials. This paper argued that the major causes of the rising cases of rape in Nigeria are youth’s unemployment that is realized as a result of bad governance, and submit that good governance is the only lasting and perpetual solution to the rising cases of rape in Nigeria
