A Conceptual Framework for the Integrated, Smart and Secure Remote Public Voting System (SSRPVS)

Elections are the backbone of democracy. It is through elections that individuals assert their voice, their perspectives, and choose a person whose philosophies most complement them. Elections allow citizens to choose their representatives. They are also important for the people to express their resentment at the ruling government. When there is high voter participation, the election process is considered successful. Unfortunately, developing countries such as India are facing a decline in the turnout. People in rural areas move to metropolitan cities or other countries, in most developing countries to make their livelihood or schooling. During elections, visiting their hometown and casting their votes becomes burdensome for them because of their commitment to their workplace. Challenges in moving to poll places and sometimes adverse weather conditions, cause people to miss the chance to choose the candidate of their choice. People with disabilities and senior citizens also refuse to go to the polling station due to travel-related difficulty. Therefore, many elections record only 50-70 percent electoral turnout, sometimes, even less than 50%. Only when all eligible voters are granted fair opportunities to exercise their franchise then only such a democratic system is considered fool proof. The need for the hour is such a fool proof framework that enables all eligible voters to cast their vote by visiting Polling Station or doing so remotely. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for the Integrated, Smart, and Secure Remote Public Voting System (SSRPVS) that allows voters from any part of India to exercise their franchise without moving place to place and wasting time and money. To develop the Framework, emerging technologies such as IoT, Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, Blockchain, and Data Analytics are included. The system will guarantee security through four different levels, Smart Voting Card based on RFID, One Time Password, Thumb Recognition, and Retina Recognition. The only theoretical model of the system that is open for further analysis and development is provided here

In brick-and-mortar retailing, sales personnel play the most important and complex rolewhereby they are the ones who are connected to consumers directly on a real-time basis. It isobserved that the majority of brick-and-mortar retailers in India assume; consumers who walkinto their stores have a clear understanding about their needs and based on their needs theyenquire sales personnel in the store about a specific product/category/brand. Such a significantassumption has created a predisposition and mindset in sales personnel, and they believe thatthey are left with very little room for adding any more products into consumers basket by theway of either cross-selling or up-selling. In this research, we have attempted to design a newneed-based sales pitch technique and applied the same through an experiment to evaluate thechange in (a) sales person’s attitude towards consumer orientation, (b) types ofproducts/categories/brands being sold, and (c) overall store profitabilit

A Modified Conceptual Model to Improve Classroom Education with Cognitive Learning

    No full text
Mind is the body's inseparable part of learning. Cognitive learning is a method that helps students use their brains more efficiently. This is an active constructive and long-lasting process. It encourages learners to take part in classes and learning journeys. This method allows the teacher or student to teach or learn subjects by skills critical thinking and application not by memorization or repetition. The student must learn how to learn through experience and cognitive strategies the student's experience will also affect his behavioural changes. The learning style and process reflect changes in the brain's content, organization and storage of information. Students lag behind their studies because not all of them can digest the same subject, syllabus and taste. The Cognitive Learning Approach involves students who are not engaged in their studies to achieve insight and fulfilment in their learning process. As students gain more confidence in their skills, they can find new ways to engage in learning in the form of groups, debates, answers to questions, etc. The teacher will have a personalized way of teaching that encourages students to get the best results. Here, every student is involved and self-assessed. The tutor should assist students in finding the right ideas and ways of thinking, as opposed to traditional classroom methods. The main goal of this paper is to present a set of cognitive structures for understanding the cognitive learning approach. The paper will also compare traditional classroom approaches with cognitive techniques for the future classroom

Organized lifestyle retailing in Indiais steadily growing its penetration into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and this is putting unorganized lifestyleretailers in these cities in quandary.
