Promoting Faculty and Student-Centered Research and Innovation based Excellence Model to Reimage Universities
Universities worldwide facing a dilemma in identifying effective models of improving the quality education to their students at UG and PG levels in order to inculcate employable skills and innovative abilities as per industry requirement. Industries and industry sectors also struggling to identify young graduates who can be innovators to add new ideas and models to add values to their existing products and services to survive, sustain and differentiate in present business competition. This, in turn, developing pressure on Universities to re-define their education models including, suitable subject identification, developing and offering industry related curriculum, effective teaching – learning methodologies including suitable customized pedagogy and use of educational technology to boost the confidence and innovative thinking abilities of graduates. In this paper, we have made an attempt to analyse the present trend in global Higher Education, their effect on Indian University education, technology and its impact on university education model, how research can differentiate campus based university education, Innovations in University research including author centric scholarly publication for copyright based IPR and Student Centric Curriculum for Patent Based IPR. The paper also proposed a model of promoting research at UG and PG levels boosts the Innovative ability of students and faculty members towards excellency. Finally, the authors made some recommendations to reimage the universities towards world-class universities

The Backwaters of Kerala are historically important. The backwaters and interconnecting navigable canals have made a number of rural tourism destinations with matchless beauty.These backwater systems were once Kerala’s own trade highways.The major component of backwater tourism is houseboat cruising.The State has sensed the potential of backwater tourism in nowadays.Mass tourism movement in this sector caused for the multidimensional impacts on the economic,socio-cultural and bio-physical environment.Being an Eco-tourism product, backwater tourism needs sustainable and responsible tourism practice. Considering the need for the sustenance of the houseboat operation as a unique tourismproduct,it is mandatory to ensure the quality of facilities and services. In this paper, the researcher is trying to focus on the importance of backwater tourismin Kerala. Also giving special attention to identify various aspects of safe houseboat operations and the issues related. The major issues related to houseboat operation are lack of infrastructure,issues of licensing,issues of safety, environmental issues, and lack of quality services.In this study, the researcher is highlighting the need for the sustenance of the house boating by giving effective recommendations to reduce the negative aspects
Conceptual Analysis on Higher Education Strategies for Various Tech-Generations
Higher education is finding importance throughout the globe due to two reasons that include challenges to increase Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) towards 100% and the possibility of further HE system innovations due to drastic changes in technology and the creativity of new Tech-generations. In this paper, we made a detailed analysis of the effect of technology on industry and the creation of new tech generations in society. The predictive analysis methodology is used for discussing the effect of technologies on industries and its effects on the creation of new tech generations. Finally, the possible higher education strategies to fulfil the anticipated desires of the tech-generations in society are analysed. Based on the analysis a set of postulates are suggested to integrate technology with the higher education system to develop industry acceptable qualified professionals to serve satisfactorily in so-called Tech-society
Long-Term Discounting Frameworks: Insights from Multiple Experiments
Ever since the online retailing format has emerged in India, consumers now have wider options available for them to buy a product at a discounted price and notably, as online stores in India are following the product discounting as one of the key drivers for consumer acquisition, consumers’ perspective towards discount at brick-and-mortar store has changed.This change in consumers’ perspective has put the majority of brick-and-mortar retailers in India into a quandary and they are losing out their market share slowly to online retailers. In this research which is based on recommendations of empirical research previously carried out on the impact of changes in retailer and consumer perspective towards discount post emergence of online stores in India, we have carried out multiple experiments on multiple long-term discounting frameworks to investigate and recommend brick-and-mortar retailers on ideal(a) frameworks, (b) duration, (c) types, (d) assortment coverage, and (e) advertising techniques for long-term discounting strategies to enable brick-and-mortar retailers to design appropriate sales promotions to gain a competitive advantage over online retailing on the discount component
Financial Mobilization Status of People Housing Program - A Case of Rupandehi District of Nepal
The overall objective of this study is to assess the implementation status of Janata Awash Program in Rupandehi, Nepal, where the program is scattered over 13 VDC and 4 Municipality (before readjustment of local level). Up to last fiscal year around 430 houses are completed through Janata Awash Program phase I and 18 houses are added in the second phase and remain 52 houses are canceled due to different reasons. In phase II 13 houses are canceled and 125 are on the implementation phase and near to compete. Earned value analysis has been carried out based on physical progress and financial progress which shows that the program is behind the planned schedule and under budge

Management as argued by Gullick and Urwick, involves the act of "planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting”. However, in order to achieve the above functions, the human is needed because management cannot practically carry out its self without people that can make it happen. That is to say, the human is needed to carry out and apply the act of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting that is required to achieve the set goal of the organization. Nevertheless, people are important in every business organization as they are the major tools used by the organization in coordinating other activities of the organization towards actualizing the national goal. The department set aside to also manage these people and their activities in every organization is refers to as the human resources management department, and it is also seen as a branch of management that is seen as the most important branch of an organization. It is in view of the above that this paper examined the importance, functions and challenges of the human resources manager or department as a branch of management and a department of an organization. This paper adopted the human relation theory and the Maslow hierarchy of needs, as the paper emphasized greatly that workers welfare is very germane, and seen as the best method to motivate workers and increase productivity, while data are retrieved from textbooks, journals articles, and internet materials as they are used in the justification of the position of this paper. The paper finally proffers workable solutions to the challenges of conflicts in an organization. This paper also emphasizes on the fact that the certification method of selecting applicants for an interview is not the best, as many applicants with higher grade certificates are found not being able to defend those certificates during the interview
Analysis of the Indian National Education Policy 2020 towards Achieving its Objectives
Well defined and futuristic education policy is essential for a country at school and college levels due to the reason that education leads to economic and social progress. Different countries adopt different education systems by considering the tradition and culture and adopt different stages during their life cycle at school and college education levels to make it effective. Recently Government of India announced its new Education policy which is based on the recommendations by an expert committee headed by Dr. Kasturirangan, Former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). This paper highlights on various policies announced in the higher education system and compare them with the currently adopted system. Various innovations and predicted implications of NEP 2020 on the Indian higher education system along with its merits are discussed. Finally, some suggestions are proposed for its effective implementation towards achieving its objectives
Perception of Employees towards TPM implementation in Foundry Industry with Reference to Coimbatore District
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is really an economical method by means it will be able to keep up with the shrub, machinery/ gear in addition to resources inside rewarding condition throughout minimum expense. Well retained machineries leads to productivity. With the companies who are into the foundry industry, the TPM quality policy is to consistently provide superior quality products and services, surpassing customer expectations on time at affordable prices. The main objective is that to study the roles of various people involved in the TPM and to identify the tangible and intangible benefits of TPM. For this a sample of 130 was collected from the respondents were analysed by descriptive statistics, regression analysis, Kruskallwallis, Rank correlation, and SEM analysis. The conclusion is that the TPM is effectively implemented with the organisation and further slight changes have to be made which leads to cost effectiveness towards the company
Ideal Store Locations for Indian Retailers – An Empirical Study
Majority of brick-and-mortar retailers in India assume that; (a) stores in locations where there ishigher consumer walk-ins/traffic generate higher revenue and profit, (b) consumers spend is higherin premium locations, (c) it is easier to attract consumers if the store is located in malls, (d) storesin premium locations helps in building premium perceptions about the retail brand in consumersand competitors mind, (e) it is difficult to attract and acquire consumers for high street stores, (f)institutional stores are not long-term and most importantly, (g) magnitude of revenue that wouldbe generated by a store is important while considering a location. Such assumptions andmisconceptions have resulted in increasing challenges with respect to maintaining consistentgrowth and sustainable store profits. Brick-and-mortar retailers need to understand the importanceof store location in relation to retailer’s overall brand image, target consumer group and itsimplications on the overall store profitability and consumer perceptions rather applying standardthumb rules, assumptions and misconceptions followed by competitors or even short-termlucrative deals offered by site owners/managers. In this research, we have analysed twelve monthsactual sales data across high street stores, mall stores and institutional stores of a select retailer anddrawn insights to recommend brick-and-mortar retailers the right strategy of store locations choice and store locations mix to gain long-term strategic and competitive advantage
