    Contextualised E-Learning Resource: A Tool for Stronger Academic Platform

    This aim of this study was conducted to recognize the impact of contextualized e-learning resources as tools for a stronger academic platform. To achieve this, this paper used an experimental type of research. A total of 180 students participated in the experiment using cluster sampling. For the instrument, this study used Supplementary Learning Resources (Digital Flipbook). A paired sample t-test was used to assess the significant effect of the contextualized e-learning resource to the academic performance of the students. The result of the experiment showed no significant difference between the means pre-test scores of the two groups. But upon the utilization of contextualized e-Learning Materials, it showed that the pvalue of the post-test scores is less than the alpha significance level 0.05. This means that the use of contextualized e-Learning Resources in teaching Mathematics in grade 3 learners has a significant effect to increase learners' academic performance. This also proved that the use of contextualized e-Learning Resources increases the academic performance of learners. The electronic tools provided by the teacher created a sound learning environment to master the least learned competencies. In light of the conclusion drawn, the researcher recommended pertinent suggestions that are deemed beneficial for the teachers and heads of institutions

    Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a norm and a buzzword in today’s business world. With the advent of the COVID-19 it has gained more prominence, and taken different forms and structure. Thought the Companies Act 2013 makes it mandatory to spend 2% of profit earned, bigger organizations are going beyond these requirements and creating a brand for themselves in the market. This has made organizations move form merely contributing to the society to gradually engaging to the societal concerns thus giving scope to the emerging concept of Social Engagement. By making a presence in the market by contributing in terms of rural development, educational purpose, hygiene and health and many other forms, bigger organizations are an important helping source to the societal development. This paper makes a broad attempt to understand and evaluate the current status, nature and scenario of CSR or Social Engagement in India. Further the study probes into identifying the best companies listed in Bombay stock exchange (BSE) and (NSE) National stock exchange in terms of CSR contributions. Identifying the companies has further advanced in finding the major areas of contribution. Education and skill development, hygiene and health improvements, and rural transformation are the key and major focus areas which major companies work on with respect to CSR. The last section of analysis of this paper makes an earnest analysis of the concept of CSR in terms of a qualitative Model known as ABCD Model. The analysis in the study reveals many advantages and benefits by CSR related initiatives to the Organization.     Many businesses are using social media networks to deliver different services and connect with clients and collect information about the thoughts and views of individuals. Sentiment analysis is a technique of machine learning that senses polarities such as positive or negative thoughts within the text, full documents, paragraphs, lines, or subsections. Machine Learning (ML) is a multidisciplinary field, a mixture of statistics and computer science algorithms that are commonly used in predictive and classification analyses. This paper presents the common techniques of analyzing sentiment from a machine learning perspective. In light of this, this literature review explores and discusses the idea of Sentiment analysis by undertaking a systematic review and assessment of corporate and community white papers, scientific research articles, journals, and reports. The goal and primary objectives of this article are to analytically categorize and analyze the prevalent research techniques and implementations of Machine Learning techniques to Sentiment Analysis on various applications. The limitation of this analysis is that by excluding the hardware and the theoretical exposure pertinent to the subject, the main emphasis is on the application side alone. The limitation of this study is that the major focus is on the application side thereby excluding the hardware and theoretical aspects related to the subject.     Web-Oriented Things Systems with 5T Policy to Manage and Contain COVID-19

    Digital technology is one of the sectors in the limelight and optimally used for various purposes throughout the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. If the planet succeeds in recovering from the worst catastrophe likely caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus only by the digital technology that is commonly used. Internet-generated data, new technologies, and intelligent devices are used in all aspects of pandemic regulations. 5 T strategy – testing, tracing, treatment, tracking, and technology are commonly used by institutions to control and contain the spread of viruses. The technology is primarily used to handle early detection, touch tracking, treating infected individuals, and monitor and control the spread of the virus. Mobile technology offers a powerful method to support this mission through the use of 'apps' collecting user data. Therefore, an overwhelming number of applications worked showed how successful they can be in identifying and informing individuals who might come into contact with infected persons, concentrating on self-diagnosing the disease, monitoring the symptoms, and reporting cases to health authorities. Web-based platforms pledge increased incentives for a more timely and efficient distribution of information and data analysis related to the pandemic. Online applications developed using AI, ML, IoT, Edge Computing and Cloud Resources are particularly useful for the rapid identification of an outbreak of an infectious disease which is necessary to formulate responses to public health quickly and effectively. Such web-based resources include search requests, website and social media data mining, blog processing, and analysis involving keywords for the disease, text mining, and geographic information system data analysis. These new systems of analytics and information are designed to complement traditional sources of disease knowledge. This chapter addresses various methods of technology used for its control and containment during the COVID-19 outbreak, and what are the prospects in that direction.     Measuring the True Potential of Lifestyle Brands in India: A Firm-Level Scale for Existing and Potential Investors - (FL-LBSi)

    It is evident that among more than 5000 Indian lifestyle brands, only a few brands are able to createtrue lifestyle brand image in their employees, investors, competitors, and consumer’s minds and thetrueness level of the majority of Indian lifestyle brands is still in question. The majority of developingand developed Indian lifestyle brands assume that the success of a lifestyle brand is measured basisthe revenue or profit they generate and are unaware of implicit long-term strategical benefits ofcreating a true lifestyle brand image in consumer’s minds. In India, the lifestyle category has alsobecome one of the most sought-after categories for many start-up entrepreneurs. Just because there isan evident gap for a certain lifestyle product category in the market and just attempting to fill such agap does not guarantee sustainable success. It is true that India is one of the countries with consumersbelonging to the widest range of Religions, Regions, Languages, Sub-Cultures and Economicbackgrounds which makes it very difficult for any lifestyle brand to own a true lifestyle brand imageat National level and makes it furthermore important for them to be more careful and efficient inensuring adaptation of right evaluation techniques and tools to regularly measure a brand’s the truepotential in attaining a sustainable profitable stage of its evolution. It is inevitable that both new andexisting lifestyle brands in India require investors to fund their journey of attaining the final stage ofevolution which is known as a sustainable profitable stage in addition to gaining true lifestyle brandimage among existing and potential employees, investors, competitors, and consumer’s minds.However, in the absence of any inputs driven measurement instruments, investors are in a quandaryto gauge, estimate and forecast the true potential of lifestyle brands in India before they make anyinvestment decisions and usually most of the investors follow traditional brand equity or valuationmethods which are mostly skewed toward output-driven measures. In this exhaustive empirical study,we have studied a few select lifestyle brands. investors and investments to identify 63 inputs basedsub-elements across 7 key elements and 3 dimensions to design a simple instrument named as FLLBSi, which would measure the true potential of a lifestyle brand in India irrespective of the brand’s current evolution stage/phase and age in the Indian retail market

    Retailing Performance Evaluation Scale for Indian Brick-and-Mortar Lifestyle Retailers (LSRS-b)

    A majority of brick-and-mortar lifestyle retailers in India have adapted firm-level and output-drivenmeasures to evaluate their overall retailing performance in addition to not apportioning the centraloffice expenses incurred merely to run stores on to store’s profit and loss account. This output-drivenapproach is distracting them from focussing on input variables and efficiency that is inevitablyimperative if sustainable retail profit and returns on investment are expected. In this exhaustiveempirical study, we have studied a few select organized brick-and-mortar lifestyle retailers to identify64 variables that directly or indirectly determine the returns on investment of a lifestyle retailer, ofwhich we have chosen 16 input-driven variables to design the LSRS-b instrument in addition toensuring integration of variables that have a significantly positive association and determination withconsumer repeat visit rate, sales personnel consumer orientation, cash flow efficiency, revenuegeneration, profitability, returns on investment, and consumer-level performance evaluation. Basedon 24 months of data evaluated, we have found that these 16 input-driven variables have a significantdetermination of about 86.90 percent concerning the final output i.e., returns on investment (ROI)which is a strong indicator of the reliability of LSRS-b instrument in evaluating the overall retailingperformance of organized brick-and-mortar lifestyle retailers in India
