    An Overview of Agriculture Finance in India

    Purpose: As a result of limited financial resources, agriculture has been plagued by a lack of profitability. Diverse policy initiatives have been made to improve access to finance, including: Affordability has always been an issue for policymakers in India, and it will continue to be. As the title suggests, the aim of this study is to explore the requirements and policy interventions in the domains of farm financing. Design/Methodology/Approach: Attempts are made in this article to examine the government’s agricultural policy measures in this country. Information for the article was culled from the Reserve Bank of India and numerous annual documents. Findings: It was found in the study that most of today’s treatments have been tried or recommended in the past, but was not successful for various reasons. However, if such measures had been undertaken at that time, India would have ranked among the top countries in terms of access to finance. Originality/Value: This study is unusual in that it attempts to trace the history of agricultural finance in India, as well as the numerous agricultural policies that have been enacted as a result of agricultural finance.     Assessment of Cement Consumption Pattern: A Case from Pokhara, Nepal

    Purpose: Cement is a major construction material used in civil engineering works due to which its demand is very high. The consumers and suppliers of the cement market may feel that every brand they are buying and selling is of good quality. The study has been focused to assess the consumption of different cement brands available in the Pokhara Metropolitan city. Design/Methodology/Approach: cement suppliers’ data and field data were collected. Cement suppliers within the study area were considered during the survey. The different brands of cement in use at the site were examined by field survey and analysis was conducted on SPSS software to obtain the results. Findings/Result: Maximum cement suppliers prefer Shivam (18.18%) in OPC type and Brij cement (17.53%) in PPC type. A positive increasing trend of annual cement consumption was observed from 2070 BS to 2076 BS. Annual cement consumption of OPC and PPC were separately studied. Cement consumption data from mass concreting areas were collected. High rise buildings, Pokhara international airport, midhill highway section in the study area, siltation dams, and cement consumption in bridges near the study area were taken into consideration for the study. All RMC suppliers' cement consumption in study area was studied differently from the establishment period. Descriptive statistics was used to study the association between cement preference and the price of cement. Preference of suppliers of cement was not found to be associated with the price of cement.     Job Satisfaction in Federal Structure - A Case of Bhojpur, Nepal

    Purpose: The feelings that an employee have for the job is essential to be  analyzed the job satisfaction level of  government employees after implementation of federal state  in the context of Bhojpur district of Nepal. Design/Methodology/Approach: The questionnaire was distributed to governmental employees via mail and direct distribution to respective offices of Bhojpur district with 93.8% of response rate. The data has been divided into local, provincial and federal categories and separately analyzed along with combined analysis too.  Satisfaction level along with the factors of the same was accessed using SPSS for descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings/Result: Government employees from all tiers of government viz. local, provincial and federal are dissatisfied with present remuneration, benefit and employee adjustment process along with present organizational structure, wage policy, present work performance evaluation system and decision-making system in offices but satisfied with present leave system after promulgation of federal structure. Present job authority and position are acceptable level for employees working in all three tiers of government. Most crucial factor seems to be promotion and career growth rather than remuneration. Job training, working environment, team spirit and right work performance evaluation system seem to be major parameters for job satisfaction. Job location is temporary in nature which can be easily handled. Strong reservation on promotion and job rotation approach which is included in new federal structure by all tiers of government employees.     Analysis of GDP using the n-variable Regression Model

    Purpose: Gross Domestic Product(GDP) depends on Agriculture, Service, and industry performance. The main aim of the study is to assess the relationship between dependent variable GDP and Independent variables agriculture, industry, and service sector by using the n-variable Regression Model at initial condition. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study is an application of the n-variable Regression Model at the initial condition to analyze the situation of GDP along with reasons not becoming zero GDP even after using the initial condition. The secondary data of the GDP of Nepal from the Central Bureau of Statistics of 10 years till 2019/20 has been analyzed.  By finding cofactors of correlation coefficient matrix, Mean and standard deviation of the individual data to establish the linear relationship between dependent and independent variable. Findings/Result: Under initial conditions, if all the independent variables zero, the GDP is −751028.431 billion, negative sign shows that GDP decreases highly if the entire major factor has no role in GDP. It is non-zero GDP.  It means in the 11th year the stated amount will be expended from the previous year saving for forex to import which will not be possible in a sustainable economy. It will not be possible in real conditions however it may be hypothetical possible either because of the impact of informal economy or disinvestment or negative net exports. It is significant for forecasting the future GDP of a country effectively assuming different conditions for policy formulation.     Awareness and Utilization on Cooperative Banking Services and Schemes in Rural Area

    Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to study the awareness level and utilization of various cooperative banking services in rural area especially Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.  In India, most of the states are agriculture dominated, especially in rural area, cooperative banks play a key role in bolstering the common individual and financing his self -employment/business and personal needs. The awareness and effective utilization of various rural banking services will improve the financial inclusion statistics of the country. To assess the awareness level, 27 services and schemes offered by the cooperative society are taken and classified into different factors.  The awareness levels of rural Muslims are compared with different demographical profile to know the difference. Methodology: Data was collected through a structured questionnaire and distributed among rural Muslims cooperative bank account holders. The study is descriptive in nature and data was collected from 398 rural Muslims of five taluks of Dakshina Kannada district. To draw meaningful inferences, scales for reliability, normality assumption, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to analyze, compare and interpret the data. Findings: The results indicate that there are no significant differences among the economic status, income and sub-caste regarding awareness of cooperative banking services and schemes. However, there is a significant difference among the age, residence and occupation regarding awareness of cooperative banking services and schemes. Originality: It may help the service provider to implement services and schemes according to the needs and profile of the rural households in the rural area, in order to have effective utilization of services and to raise the standard of living. Practical Implication: The findings of the study will help the various stakeholders to overcome the problem of financial inclusion especially in rural areas and help to provide need-based financial service to the rural households in the country. The objective of this study is to observe and to recognize how worker retention facilitates in growing the organizational effectiveness of Dinesh Foods. It additionally assists to investigate diverse retention techniques followed and also the employee turnover within the unit.  This work investigates the worker retention is a device for increasing the organizational effectiveness.  Design/Methodology/Approach: For the purpose of study the data was collected through primary and secondary source.  Questionnaire was distributed among the workers for collecting necessary data for the study, financial statement of the company to study about the financial stability of the organisation and annual report of the company. The intention was to understand how is body dysmorphic disorder affects persons eating habits, social interaction, and body image. In this article, various research studies and scholarly articles were studied to understand in detail regarding Body dysmorphic disorder. The emphasis was given on age, gender, social media networking site users, etc. It was also intended to study how the media influences people towards a certain skin color and body type.   It was found not a single study was done in India though there are articles by Indian authors on body shaming, body image, and how media is obsessed with unrealistic beauty standards which indirectly creates body image concerns in people. This case study justifies the need for studies to be done in India to identify Body dysmorphic disorder using various scales like Body image concern inventory, etc. Objective: This case study was done to understand the studies done on body dysmorphic disorder around the world. To understand the pattern, occurrence ratio between youngsters and elderly and social media users and non-users.  Design/Methodology/Approach: Detailed Review of literature was done on various scholarly articles provided over medical, psychology, and journal websites.  Findings/Results: Most of the studies were done in European countries and very few in Asia. The studies revealed that women are more affected by BDD than men. People active on social networking sites, following celebrities, and media were more discontent with their body parts or in general. Studies also show that the younger population is more affected by body dysmorphic disorder.  It was also noted that there was no direct study done in India for identifying body dysmorphic disorder.
