Women’s Articulates towards Career Advancement
Get PDFPurpose: Professional engagement among women is growing at the same rate as that of men. The shortage of women in key governance roles and decision-making positions has been the most controversial issue. Based on this statement the foremost aim of the study is to explore how managerial women feel about their career advancement and compare their views on career advancement with those of respondents with nuclear or joint families.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The present study adopted a quantitative research methodology including managerial level women as participants.
Findings/Result: The findings reveal that women in public organizations are optimistic about their career advancement; that their organizations have strong policies and procedures in place to help women rise to higher levels of employment. However, men's networks, the low number of women in higher-level positions in organizations, and the necessity to do better work than male acquaintances to be promoted were barriers to their professional empowerment. In addition, when it comes to career advancement, singles and joint families have opposing viewpoints.
Originality/Value: The study contributes by examining female managerial personnel' perceptions of their career advancement in Nepal's public sector. The results of the study show that there are considerable differences in family types when it comes to job advancement.

Influence of Appreciative Intelligence and Innovation Factors on Innovation: An Empirical Study

Innovation factors along with Appreciative Intelligence are the essential characteristics an organization should have to tread upon the path of successful innovation. Every organization follows some processes, protocols and practices for the day to day and long term operations. Some practices form an important aspect for the success of an organization. Certain practices followed become critical characteristics to beat the competition. Bench marking is always very important to know the strength and weakness of an organization. Thus every organization should know their potential in innovation curve. Since the components of Innovation factors and Appreciative Intelligence are both tangible and intangible, measuring the influence of each of them is not linear. A specific tool developed by me is used for this purpose. The result is analysed to reveal the innovation capability of an organization. Depending on the result measures can be taken by the organization to enhance their innovation potential.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Companies belonging to different sectors are contacted and the online tool is circulated among the employees to give the details. The details given are analysed with another tool.
Findings/Result: Based on the data received from the tool developed which has components of both Innovation Factors and Appreciative Intelligence the Innovation capability of the organization is inferred. It is found out that an organization which has imbibed the characteristics of Innovation factors and Appreciative Intelligence are more Innovative and successful.
Originality/Value: The tool developed can be used to benchmark an organization on their Innovation Capability and to improve if need be.

The e-commerce in SME and MSME business sectors to adapt B2B, B2C, C2C, and M-commerce across the segment such as mobility, grocery, food order, delivery hotel booking travel, with a partnership with customers, suppliers, distributors, warehouse, logistics, payments with the support by the government policy on FDI, PE/VC in e-commerce with API infrastructure, and Consumer Protection Bill 2018 regulate the online transactions by including the e-commerce sector. Design/Methodology/Approach: The Descriptive study and secondary data are collected from relevant and government websites to analyse the result and ABCD Listing Framework.
Findings/Result: Contribution of ONDC and other players of e-commerce towards the inclusive and economic growth of the country. The data shows that E-commerce start-ups have raised VC&PE funding for technology adoption, BNLP, B2B, and open network technology provide a huge opportunity backed by the Digital India revolution.
Research limitations/implication: First hand data of ONDC and other player’s information is not taken for the study.
Social implications: It is E-Commerce digital tool to integrate small traders with integrate small traders with integration of all apps Big tech for more sustainable in incomes, business expansion, employment, economic growth. It is designed to provide equal opportunity to small retailers and merchants in the e-commerce market alongside big players like Amazon and Flipkart.

A Cloud Based Machine Intelligent Human Activity Recognition System Using Internet of Things to Support Elderly Healthcare
No full textPurpose: Human activity recognition is now a major concern in elderly healthcare perspective. Regular monitoring of daily activities is strongly needed for the elderly or old age persons at home. Therefore, the Internet of Things (IoTs) can be a solution to this problem.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In this paper, a cloud-based machine intelligent human activity recognition (HAR) system using IoT is proposed to recognize the regular activity of old person at home. In this system, the IoT device or wearable device connected to the body is embedded with activity recognition sensors those sense the physical activity and send the readings to the device. The device then sends the readings to the cloud using the Internet for classifying the actual activity of the person. The cloud is installed with a machine intelligent model which accurately classifies the activities. For the selection of this model, in this work we considered many standards supervised machine intelligence models.
Findings/Result: Simulation is done using Orange 3.26 python-based tool by considering Kaggle activity recognition data. Results state that NN shows better performance than other models in classifying the activities of the elderly person.
Originality/Value: A new cloud-based machine intelligent HAR system for smart home using IoTs is proposed to monitor the regular activity of the old person.

In this regard, the discovery of biomarkers in psychology or psychiatry, or any other clinical mental health sciences area is turning out to be crucial for facilitating diagnosis and through the creation of markers that enable the stratification of individuals inside this condition, which may then result in more targeted therapy choices. This evaluation presents a practical description of therapeutic development along with an overview of the idea and several categories of biomarkers to throw light on the subject. Objective: The main objective of this paper is to shed some light on the area of neuropsychological disorder and its variations as well as common biomarker assessment methods to detect it. Design/Methodology/Approach: This clinical paper is prepared by using secondary data from various official and authentic websites and journal papers. In order to make the paper more accurate and scientific in nature, primary data has also been utilized to build this paper. Expert opinions from neuropsychologists, general psychiatrists, and researchers who are doing research in the domain of neuropsychology have also been taken to guarantee the reliability of the paper.
Findings/Result: Despite the positive outcomes, there have been few biomarker studies, particularly those that focus on the treatment of mental illnesses. This study's outcome makes a comment on the difficulties that will need to be overcome in the possible future in order to generate credible, trustworthy, and widely applicable biomarkers for mental diseases and their intervention. An essential first step towards the construction of more customized therapy is the detection of characteristics that forecast response to therapy since doing so will decrease drug switching based on trial and error and facilitate the development of novel successful medicines.
Originality and Value: A scientific and more comprehensive approach has been taken to provide better information about neuropsychological/general psychiatric disorders and their detection by using histological or any other clinically proven methods. A new stratagem is applied to shed light on the topic of neuropsychological illnesses and their detection by using the biomarker method.

The study/analysis of an industry is essential for various stakeholders. For instance, creditors/investors take decisions concerning investment only after a thorough analysis of the current scenario and prospects of an industry. The ABCD framework is an effective tool of industry analysis for understanding both the positive and negative impact of the industry’s operations and the factors that support or hinder the effective functioning of the industry. The Indian Pharmaceutical Industry, known as the pharmacy of the world, is the leading supplier of generic drugs. It’s contribution in achieving various public health outcomes such as polio eradication, lower treatment costs, to name a few, are immense. The industry has proved its resilience even in the COVID-19 pandemic era.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This paper studies the Indian Pharmaceutical Sector in terms of its Advantages, Benefits, Constraints and Disadvantages. The data for the same is collected through published reports on the Indian Pharmaceutical Sector. Apart from ABCD Framework, other tools of industry analysis such as the Herfindahl-Hirschman index are used in the study.
Findings/Result: The benefits of the pharma industry to the economy as well as to public health outcomes have been many and varied. The industry enjoys many advantages, the main among them being the low cost of manufacturing, which has contributed to its growth. The main disadvantage of the industry is its adverse impact on the ecology. Rigorous regulations are its chief constraints.
Originality/Value: This paper studies the Indian Pharmaceutical industry using the ABCD model, which gives an all-round perspective of the industry.

Assessment of Knowledge & Awareness among the Professionals Regarding the Concept of Safety by Design
No full textPurpose: Recently safety by design is widely used globally in the design phase of the project itself as a proactive approach to safety management. so the overall objective of this research is to assess the knowledge & awareness among Nepalese professionals regarding the concept of Safety by Design.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The study covers a systematic review of a wide range of papers using content analysis followed by a scheduled questionnaire survey. Constructivism philosophy of research was used. Piloting assures the quality of five ranking Likert scale questionnaire before the survey. ANOVA test was used to analyze the response collected. Cronbach’s alpha assures reliability and literature comparison assures validity.
Findings/Result: Most of the design professionals have heard of SbD from 2011 to 2020 during the college only as satisfactory to a good understanding. Understanding of the Clients was found to be satisfactory whereas that of Contractors and Engineers in abroad was having good understanding. They rarely get to address the worker's health and safety during the design phase even after realizing high importance. Lack of sufficient guidelines, manuals, online resources, or other materials that facilitate using of the SbD approach was found.
Limited knowledge regarding SbD was considered as the most important factor that restricted the use of SbD in the construction industry. Also, no regulatory provisions and designer's limited experience were the ones to restrict the use of SbD. Regarding the factors contributing to the success of SbD, design professionals agreed that legislative force is the most important factor followed by tools and guidelines related to SbD. Apart from them engaging the SbD experts and support from industry are equally important for the success of SbD.
Originality/Value: It is action research. This study helps in motivating and creating awareness among the design professionals working not only in transmission lines but also to study and use the concept of safety by design in their respective fields to eliminate the hazards.

Case Study of Furniture Manufacturing Companies
Get PDFPurpose: This study encompasses four cases pertaining to furniture manufacturing industry in India. Manufacturing is essential for our nation and hence four companies are studied namely: Spacewood Pvt. Ltd, Choice Furntech LLP, Stanley Lifestyles Ltd, and VK Sofa Makers Pvt.Ltd. There are few similarities and associations with all four of these companies. This study also uncovers various aspects of minute details related to furniture pricing, customization, and unique selling proposition via segmentation/segments that they are operating in. The companies that are in study are basically seasoned and very strong fundamentally and operationally.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Observations and interactions/interviews with employees of all the four companies along with online databases were studied for finding similarities and dissimilarities in certain key variables and bring out the best variables/ practices that could be replicated by others.
Findings/ Results: This case study reviews the current situation of various customization processes through multiple variables in furniture manufacturing companies in India and the data is collected from interaction with employees, vendors, customers, company websites, scholarly literature, and internet sources for results that could have far reaching implications when compared to others abroad.
Originality: It is a study to find commonality or similarity[s] among these four companies with reference to VK Sofa makers for any future entrepreneurs to have a sustainable/ implementable business model that can grow rapidly by customization and superior service quality.

Industry-wise Dispersion of Investment Returns in Indian CPSEs: Experiential Confirmation on Aggregation
Get PDFPurpose: The CPSEs play a vital role in the economic structure of the country by supplying necessary products and services. To sustain in the long run, it is essential to earn a reasonable amount of profit on a consistent basis. Thus, the higher the dispersion in investment returns, the higher is the risk and vice-versa. In this perspective, an industry-wise dispersion of investment returns in Indian CPSEs are carried out from 2010-11 to 2019-20.
Design/Methodology/Approach: To fulfill the research objectives of the study, secondary data is used. Dispersion is calculated for the investment ratios by coefficient of variation. Furthermore, paired ‘t’ test is applied to locate any significant transform in the average dispersion of investment returns of all the selected industries taken together. One-way ANOVA is also applied to measure variation in investment returns among the selected industries.
Findings/Result: The study results reveal that the rate of fluctuation in investment returns has varied extensively among the industries. Moreover, most of the selected industries in the 1st sub-period have shown better consistency in investment returns as compared to the 2nd sub-period. Further, significant differences are observed in investment returns among the selected industries, which implies that investment returns in each selected industry has a significant bearing on the aggregate investment returns of the CPSEs.
Originality/Value: To recognize the rate of dispersal in investment returns generated by the CPSEs.

A Review on Conceptual Model of Cyber Attack Detection and Mitigation Using Deep Ensemble Model
No full textPurpose: When communication networks and the internet of things are integrated into business control systems, they become more vulnerable to cyber-attacks, which can have disastrous consequences. An Intrusion Detection System is critical for identifying and blocking attacks in IoT networks. As a result, utilizing a unique Classification and Encryption approach, this article offered a novel architecture for attack node mitigation.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This study reviews the current status of various cyber-attack detection models and their mitigation techniques. The proposed model works so that the system is first trained on the dataset, including the DDoS attack and ransomware components. The model examines if it contains malware from DDoS or Ransomware. When tested, we use trained information or a data set to provide the results on attack existence and what sort of attack we offer the extracted characteristics of the input. When the model identifies the attacker node, it is removed via the BAIT technique from the network.
Findings/Result: Recognizing the importance of information security is critical to combating cybercrime and encouraging cyber security. There are numerous tactics, strategies, and equipment currently in use to detect intrusion in a computer network, and continuing research is being conducted to improve their ability to detect intrusion. The basic version of a cyber-assault detection and mitigation system using the BRELU-RESNET method was evaluated in this study.
